Since l first started practicing Sumo Deadlifts back in the 1980s, l have always gone as wide as possible NOT to shorten the ROM, but to build that groin mobility! Yes, the 421lb was too heavy as l let the Hips come up much sooner than the sets w/152½lb, 243½lb,333½lb. I want to keep the Hips down to focus on leg drive and groin mobility. This time, l took a page from Westside Barbell's play book and put thick collars on the bar BEFORE putting plates on. How good at these for building groin mobility?
