Total weight is 234l½b: 197lb is straight weight. 1st time doing any kind of chain Squats without a Rack, and it was the best! The single best change in my training was ditching the Power Rack. The more Olde Time Strongman Lifts l adopted, the more l realized how mobile and strong the past masters were without using a Rack or Squat Stands. No, l don't feel this limits my top end potential. Unless you're a competitive lifter, which these were created for, you just don't need it. I plan on Front Squatting 300lb this way before turning 53 years old. I wish l had discovered this type of training sooner. It requires so much overall strength & athleticism. Hope your New Year is going to plan. God Bless!
