00:00 No, I don't think so.
00:01 It's just a matter of me just being out there and
00:04 just learning when to get down, when not to get down.
00:06 Some of the injuries were unfortunate, like my ankle getting stepped up on,
00:10 hitting my knee on the turf really hard, just stuff like that,
00:13 stuff that I can't control.
00:15 But the ones that I can control, I gotta prevent those,
00:18 like me slowing up near the end zone, getting a concussion.
00:21 That was completely on me.
00:23 And then getting tackled, I couldn't really prevent that.
00:27 I was trying to brace myself for it, and just unfortunately,
00:30 my shoulder just did what it did.
00:32 But I don't think I have to change the way I play,
00:34 just being a little smarter when the time does come.
00:36 >> Did that say no change to the way you play?
00:38 Will any part of you maybe be any more hesitant in certain situations,
00:43 or do you think you'll still be the same Anthony you've always been?
00:47 >> No, I feel like I'm gonna stay the same, keep being me,
00:50 keep playing the way I'm playing.
00:51 But like I said, just being a little smarter when the time is needed.
00:55 I can't try to run through everybody.
00:57 If it's first and 10, get what I can get and get down, get out of bounds,
01:01 get to the sideline, do what I can do.
01:03 But if the game is on the line, I gotta go out there and compete.
01:06 But it's just a matter of being smart for myself and the team,
01:08 and I'm gonna try to do that for sure.
01:10 >> What is that balance like when you didn't play recklessly, but
01:15 you got hurt, and the narrative is, he's gotta protect himself.
01:18 How do you deal with that?
01:19 When you're like, I didn't do anything crazy, I heard him on the team talk.
01:23 >> I've been dealing with that throughout my whole football career.
01:26 I'm a big physical guy, I love to play physical, and
01:29 people don't really expect that from QBs.
01:31 So there is a time and a place to be physical.
01:34 And I love playing physical, so that's my nature.
01:37 But now that people see me, and
01:41 they kind of fear of quarterbacks being too physical and getting injured the way I did.
01:45 But like you said, I don't think I play reckless.
01:48 I think I play the right way.
01:50 And it was unfortunate I got injured.
01:52 But I can't really change the way I play.
01:54 I just got to be a little smarter when the time does come.
