00:00 Hey Dee, I'm Winnie Harlow.
00:02 Welcome to my home.
00:13 Welcome to my living room.
00:14 I worked with Morton Lawrence-Boulard to create my entire home.
00:19 I really wanted a really nice calm space, not too bright.
00:25 We have the pops of color coming up though, so don't worry.
00:28 My whole life I lived in apartments and so it was a really big deal for me to live in
00:34 a space that I loved.
00:36 And so when I saw this house, I really loved how much light was in the space.
00:40 It was kind of a blank slate and this is where I decided to go with it.
00:45 The sheeps in here, I was kind of surprised by these when they came in, but I feel like
00:51 it kind of gives it a Garden of Eden type feel.
00:54 So we have 1970s leaves that frame the fireplace beautifully.
01:00 This is a drawing actually by pencil.
01:05 So even though it's me and I didn't really want too many pictures of me in my space,
01:09 there were some things that were just absolutely incredible that I've been gifted over time.
01:14 I just didn't want it in center.
01:15 It had to be like off center.
01:16 So we had to zhuzh it up a bit.
01:19 We have these beautiful sofas that I fell in love with.
01:23 I feel like they're just so cozy, but also pieces of art at night when just these orbs
01:29 are on, it just looks like you're gazing at the sky.
01:32 And I love that.
01:39 Welcome to my glam room.
01:42 So this room has always been supposed to be a glam room, but it's kind of been used as
01:48 storage before Martin came.
01:50 I really always wanted a mirrored ceiling, but because we have earthquakes in California,
01:58 we didn't feel it was super safe to put mirrors on the ceiling.
02:02 And so the closest thing that we kind of found was this reflective, really pretty mirror.
02:08 And I feel like it makes the space bigger.
02:10 I also do glam so much.
02:13 So having a space that's open and clean for once is really necessary for like that mindset
02:21 that you have to be in before you do red carpet or you're going to set for a shoot because
02:27 things get really, really hectic.
02:29 We have of course my KSKIN sun care line right here on the table.
02:34 They get a lot of use because you need to wear SPF every day.
02:38 Never skip your SPF.
02:40 This is my cover wall.
02:42 I am obsessed with this one.
02:44 We shot this one, Vogue India.
02:46 It was such a beautiful hot day and I'm an island girl, so I love to be in heat.
02:51 And this kind of gave me like that Caribbean island vibe.
02:55 Sometimes we get caught up in what's next, what's next, and you know, living through
02:59 life fast paced, but being able to come and look at your accomplishments and be like,
03:03 you know what, you should be proud is a really amazing feeling to have.
03:08 I stumbled upon this piece of art that I was just so obsessed with and I FaceTimed my boyfriend
03:16 to tell him that I was going to buy it and he bought it for me for my birthday.
03:20 So that was really, really sweet of him.
03:22 So thank you, babe.
03:27 So this is my formal dining room.
03:30 I have a lot of goddaughters and godsons and cousins and aunts and uncles and I wanted
03:36 it to be a space that was homey, but still airy and light.
03:40 You could see a lot of the light fixtures I have in my house are art pieces, kind of.
03:49 You'll see my favorite one in the kitchen.
03:52 I'm so excited about this.
03:53 I keep giving little teasers.
03:56 This is a really interesting piece by Mattia Biaggi.
03:59 He is an Italian artist and it is called a love totem.
04:04 There's little things that just are hints of fun about the house just so that it had
04:09 a little bit of energy to it.
04:15 This is the powder room.
04:17 I said earlier that I don't like lots of pictures of myself, but Martin did find this shoot
04:24 I did for Zach Posen.
04:26 It was a lookbook.
04:27 I think I shot 30 looks that day and when Martin found these pictures online of me,
04:31 he was like, "I need to make a wallpaper of this," but did come out incredible.
04:37 I kind of made them a size where you kind of have to look closely to notice that it
04:42 is me.
04:43 I look at it more as an art piece, which Zach Posen really did that.
04:48 Then we wanted to tie it together with this beautiful green mirror that kind of pulls
04:54 the colors in and ties everything together.
04:57 I like those little pops because like I said, Island Gal.
05:01 I like color.
05:02 I like Carnival.
05:08 This is my family room.
05:09 I spend so much time in this room.
05:12 I actually sleep on this couch a lot.
05:14 This was the one piece when Martin came in that I was like, "You can change everything,
05:19 but the couch gots to stay."
05:22 I have so many friends and family come over and we just fall asleep on this couch watching
05:26 movies.
05:27 I also use this space for fittings.
05:29 We have a really nice mirror right there to see how things fit and how they walk.
05:35 Maybe some YouTube music videos and just have a good vibe in this space.
05:40 We also have another one of these 1970s beautiful vintage trees.
05:46 It's still a little Caribbean ting poking out.
05:49 You'll see it.
05:54 I like to have a lot of fun, so I wanted my bar to be a lot of fun.
05:58 I wanted it to kind of be Studio 54 inspired, so we have a lot of inspo here.
06:04 We have Queen Diana right here on the wall.
06:09 I just wanted it to be fun, but still moody and vibey with the space.
06:13 We open a lot of wine in this room right here, whether that be for fittings, whether that
06:19 be for chilling, watching basketball games on TV, all of the above.
06:24 A lot of wine gets drunk in this house.
06:35 This is the kitchen.
06:36 I know a lot of people say this is where the magic happens when they get upstairs to the
06:40 bedroom, but this is really where the magic happens.
06:42 I love donuts, I love cake, and I love actually to bake.
06:47 I make a really amazing pumpkin pie that my family loves.
06:51 So this kitchen usually gets used for me when it comes to baking.
06:56 I wanted it to be black and white and really focused on the light fixture.
07:02 This light fixture is actually called the Harlow, coincidentally.
07:06 It is so beautiful.
07:07 It looks like little gemstones.
07:09 I saw this light fixture and I was like, this is something I need in my house.
07:15 So these little canisters hold tea in them, and actually this tea right here, these are
07:20 ginger honey crystals.
07:22 And my mom and my grandparents drink this all the time.
07:26 My whole life I've been drinking this.
07:29 And so I had to have it in my household as well.
07:32 This art piece I got in Hawaii.
07:35 We were on vacation and I just loved it so much.
07:38 I actually got Kyle an art piece commissioned that was in the same color scheme.
07:44 So whenever we decide to move in together, these two will definitely be in the same space.
08:00 Welcome to the bedroom.
08:02 This bedroom makes me feel so at peace when I come home.
08:07 It's so calming.
08:08 It's giving 1930s Hollywood movie star.
08:13 I fell in love with this headboard.
08:16 We had it custom made to fit right in between the shades.
08:21 We call this the cloud room and we call it that because it is so soft and cozy and the
08:28 carpet is just somewhere you want to lay and chill and relax.
08:42 This is my bathroom.
08:43 I travel a lot and so I tend to get sick and when I get sick, I like to be like in steam
08:50 and put some Epsom salt in the bath and soak.
08:54 Although I don't often get a lot of time to take baths when I do, it's my favorite thing
08:59 to do.
09:00 We mirrored this tub area, which I'm really obsessed about because it's really cute for
09:07 like picture moments or just, you know, making sure that my hair is not getting wet in the
09:11 tub.
09:12 I can check real quick, but tuck that back into my shower cap.
09:20 This is one of my three closets.
09:22 I use this one kind of for more winter stuff, but I have a lot of shoes and jackets again
09:30 with this light fixture being the sunlight of the house.
09:35 So I really love this one, especially because I am a sun sign being a Leo.
09:39 I really am a colorful girl.
09:41 I love to wear color, but I wanted my house to be somewhere that was relaxing to come
09:47 home to.
09:48 In this space, you can see my wardrobe is very loud, very fuzzy and glowy and colorful.
10:03 I wanted to make sure that there was a space where I could work out and keep my energy
10:08 levels up.
10:09 I also have a collaboration with Puma, my Puma family.
10:13 And so I really wanted to make this a Puma inspired gym to help inspire me for future
10:19 collections that I create.
10:21 I really love how we customized this gym.
10:24 The details that we have on the treadmill and a lot of other things in the space is
10:30 the pattern that Keith Haring had painted on Grace Jones for, you know, a lot of their
10:36 collaborations.
10:37 And so I kind of wanted to tie that into the space, keeping it art and keeping it fashion.
10:42 Kyle is really a good trainer.
10:45 I really like having him train me.
10:47 I didn't think that would work out very well because we're both Leos and very fiery, but
10:52 we don't really work out together per se, but he trains me sometimes.
11:06 Well that's it, AD.
11:07 Thank you so much for coming.
11:09 This has been a dream of mine.
11:11 I'm about to go crack open a bottle of wine, so I'll see you later.
11:18 (upbeat music)
