Newcastle United announce plans for new STACK on Strawberry Place. Police are appealing for witnesses after a brick and some wood were thrown from a bridge above the A1 onto the road. And finally football pitches in parks across Newcastle will be getting an upgrades thanks to funding.

00:05 Newcastle United have started a planning application for the new fan zone at Strawberry Place,
00:10 in partnership with Stagg and the club's sponsor.
00:12 The fan zone will include a stage, a big screen to show live sporting events and plenty of
00:17 bars and street food units.
00:19 The club are hoping that the fan zone will be open before the end of the year if the
00:23 planning and licensing is granted.
00:25 Police are appealing for witnesses after a brick and some wood were thrown from a bridge
00:29 above the A1 onto the road.
00:31 On the 7th of July, police received a report that pieces of debris were being thrown by
00:35 youths from the bridge over Junction 77 on the A1.
00:39 And finally, football pitches in parks across Newcastle will be getting an upgrade thanks
00:43 to some funding.
00:44 The Premier League, the FA and the government's Football Foundation have provided over £67,000
00:50 for pitches in Walker Park and Paddy Freemans Park.
