Electric vehicles are slowly but surely making their way to our shores. At the Philippine International Motor Show last year, Hyundai Motor Philippines not only showcased the Hyundai Ioniq 5, the brand also announced that it is bring the fully-electric crossover to the local market.

We recently got to test the model over a week-long period, and we were keen to answer some questions: Are running costs really that much lower with electric vehicles? What are the challenges of early adoption, aside from the steep asking price of P3,698,00 for this Long Range variant? Is it difficult to shift to electric motoring from combustion-engined cars?
