PRESENTED BY KEVIN
"Half Crown are difficult to put in a box, they are one of the best local bands I have heard (proven by the fact the crowd begged for The Pav Tav's first encore) and easily deserve a whole one." - SQ Magazine Brighton
Brighton Based Experimental Band Half Crown fuse some of their favourite styles, genres and sounds; thus creating their own unmissable sound. Originating from the small town of Steyning keen Drummer (Josh Cassidy-Stone) and Avid Guitar player and singer (David Gayler) Began the base layer for the group; after them Charles ray (Bass) and Frankie Harper (Guitar and Vocalist) joined the band to then creating Half Crown. After this the band played together for a few months getting into the swing of gigging by playing infront of Nick Cave (The Bad Seeds) at a local battle of the bands. Coming in a close second didnt bruise the bands spirits as they persued their love for fusing genres and snagged rapper Louie Syred. Once Louie had joined the band, the group really started to take flight playing regular gigs around all of east and west sussex, and also taking bookings for gigs in London. The bands energy and stage presence is enchored and the crowds applaud not only the bands musicsianship but the energy which seems to drain of the stage. An Unmissable band with an unmissable sound.
