At a business roundtable in Abu Dhabi, President Trump said that Treasury Sec. Scott Bessent and Commerce Sec. Howard Lutnick will send letters to other nations to explain the cost of business with the U.S.

00:00We're going to get them out fast.
00:02We just reached a fantastic trade deal, as you know, with the United Kingdom,
00:06which was wonderful.
00:08And we have another big one that we just reached with China.
00:12China deal is a very big deal.
00:14It's in the process of continuing to be formed.
00:19But they wanted to make that deal very badly.
00:21And we have, at the same time, 150 countries that want to make a deal,
00:28but you're not able to see that many countries.
00:30So at a certain point, over the next two to three weeks,
00:32I think Scott and Howard will be sending letters out,
00:36essentially telling people, it would be very fair,
00:39but we'll be telling people what they'll be paying to do business in the United States.
00:45They'll essentially be paying to be doing business in the United States.
00:49I guess you could say they could appeal it.
00:51But for the most part, I think we're going to be very fair.
00:53But it's not.
