Transcript
00:00Yes, my name is Adrienne Corn. I'm the head teacher at Hambledon Primary School.
00:03Brilliant. Can you tell me how you feel about your recent Ofsted report?
00:07Oh, we're so proud of it. It's been a long time coming. It's been a while since we've had our last one.
00:11I'm just so pleased at how well the inspection team sort of summed up our school and saw all of our strengths.
00:18Tell me what makes the school so special.
00:20We're quite a small school, which is unique for our area.
00:22So we're a small village primary school with just over 100 children.
00:25And we really are like a big family.
00:28The other thing that makes us special, we believe, is we place a real emphasis on developing the whole child
00:34and also helping them to see the role they can play in the different communities they are part of.
00:38We recently were awarded the Social Impact Award, which is all about how work schools do to help children realise
00:46the different societies they belong to and the positive impact they can have on their wider communities.
00:51So tell me what Hambledon Primary Schools plans are for the future.
00:54Well, we constantly review and reflect on the programmes that we offer for our children.
00:58We feel it's so important to make sure that they're not only ready academically for secondary school,
01:02but that we send them out into the wider world as good citizens with having had lots of experiences,
01:07not just with inside the classroom.
01:09To promote the strength that we offer for our children who choose to come to Hambledon Primary School
01:13to encourage as many people from the wider community to come and look at us
01:17and see if we're the best fit for their children.
