New Delhi, May 11 2025 (ANI): G Parthasarthy, former Indian High Commissioner to Pakistan, said, "...When I was in Pakistan, Pervez Musharraf initiated the Kargil conflict by taking over high mountains in the Himalayas. We taught them a lesson at the high altitude of the Himalayas and drove them out of Kargil...So, I am not surprised that General Asim Munir is repeating the same mistakes that Musharraf made. Musharraf made that mistake, staged a coup and then took over. I hope they are able to protect their civilian Government now in Pakistan after Asim Munir is made to look ridiculous like we did to Pervez Musharraf earlier on in Kargil. Now, coming to this thing itself (agreement reached between Pakistan and India), all credit to Mr Modi and everyone in his government but most credit to our Army, the armed forces as a whole...As far as relations with Pakistan are concerned, you have a PM who has cut a pathetic figure and the Army virtually ran the country, their operations against India were not put up to the PM or approved by the PM by all accounts. If that has been done, it has not been spoken about and therefore, we have Shehbaz Sharif now asking for peace as his brother had sought with us during Kargil. So, all I can say is, I am very proud to be an Indian and I am having a good laugh at my Pakistani friends..."

00:00I am very proud of to be Indian and I am having a good laugh at my Pakistani friends. What
00:07I am saying is with Asim Jairus in Nazareth, asking for peace, I am having a big laugh.
00:16When I was in Pakistan, Parvez Musharraf initiated the Kargil conflict by taking over
00:29high mountains in the Himalayas. We taught them a lesson at the high altitude of the Himalaya
00:36mountains and drove them out of Kargil. This happened when I was High Commissioner there.
00:43So I am not surprised that General Asif Munir is repeating the same mistakes that
00:59Musharraf made. I only hope that Musharraf made that mistake and then staged the coup and
01:05took over. I hope they are able to protect their civilian government now in Pakistan after
01:13Asif Munir is made to look ridiculous like we did to Parvez Musharraf earlier on in Kargil.
01:21Now coming to the, this thing itself, all credit to Mr. Modi and everyone in his government,
01:33but most credit to our army, the armed forces as a whole because in this, coming up to here,
01:42the Air Force has been involved and the Air Force has shown its capabilities. So, it is therefore,
01:50as I look at this, as far as relations with Pakistan are concerned, the, you have a Prime Minister
02:01who is, who is cut a pathetic figure and the army virtually ran the country. Their operations
02:13against India were not put up to the Prime Minister or approved by the Prime Minister by all accounts.
02:20If they were done, it's, it's not been spoken about. And therefore, the, we, we have Shaibas Sharif,
02:30Navas Sharif's brother, now asking for peace as his brother had sought with us during Kargil.
02:37So all I can say is, I am very proud to be Indian and I am having a good laugh at my Pakistani friends.
