00:30His opponent across the ring on my right, fighting out of the red corner, wearing dark blue trunks with gold trim.
00:37Hailing from it, fighting out of Fontana, California.
00:42He weighed in at a ready 1.034.4 pounds.
00:46He is undefeated against campaign, with a record of 22 wins, no losses.
00:5217 wins coming by way of knockout.
00:55Currently ranked the IBM number 4 lightweight in the world.
00:59Please welcome, the hard-hitting and undefeated, Raymond Danger Murataya!
01:12And a free in charge, now to give instructions, Thomas Taylor.
01:17All right, guys, everything from the bottom of the red is always going to be good.
01:33You've got Mike Stross into the back, gentlemen.
01:34Protect yourselves at all times.
01:36This is Mike Stross, and welcome back to the board, gentlemen.
01:40For Zahar Abdullaya, last time he was in a world title fight, it was against Devin Haney.
01:44He's the last man to be stopped by Devin Haney.
01:47That was in 2019, but it was a fractured orbital.
01:51That dream became a nightmare for Raymond Murataya.
01:54He wants that dream to stay a dream and to become reality.
01:58What man will be a world champion?
02:00Murataya Abdullaya!
02:02There's your first belt, Bernardo Osuna,
02:04alongside the international boxing hall of favor, Timothy Bradley.
02:07Mark Triegel, roving reporter for the evening tonight.
02:11You see Murataya trying to get off to a quick start, going to the body.
02:15Just trying to use some angles right here.
02:17You see Murataya, that foot movement that you saw was just angles.
02:22Didn't do anything off those angles, however.
02:26After the life, strong, physically strong.
02:28You can tell, look how big his back is.
02:31He likes to come forward, come behind a tight, tight guard.
02:35Likes to stand down low and sneak over the top of the right hands.
02:39Lekatu Abdullaya is heavy on the jab.
02:43That's 8 of 39 per round, which is 2.4 for Murataya.
02:48Tevin's 10.7 more thrown than his opponent.
02:52So that's his weapon of choice for Murataya.
02:55It's power and accuracy.
02:56It's power, accuracy, counter-punching ability.
03:01But that jab, what that jab does, is going to disrupt the rhythm.
03:04If he can stay constant with it, Abdullaya, if he can stay constant with it, it's going to disrupt the rhythm.
03:09And counter-punchers, that's what they hate.
03:10They hate guys that are accurate with their jab.
03:14So we'll see how effective Abdullaya jab is going to be in his first round.
03:20Guys, I'm going to take my time, feel him out, and then start trying to wear him down.
03:27Abdullaya has a sense of an amateur factory as well.
03:30You know, although his style is pretty simple, it's extremely effective.
03:36You know, he starts to slowly, slowly apply more and more pressure as the rounds continue.
03:42And he seems to get stronger as the rounds go.
03:46Something rare to him, Abdullaya has two slow-round stoppages.
03:51And that goes to show you that this man prepares.
03:54He's got the wind and the power to carry late, which is so difficult to do in this sport.
04:03Yes, you see him fading.
04:05Body fades, foot fades.
04:08You count for a tie-on for the Abdullaya jab.
04:15They're going to take a chess match right now, technical battle.
04:19By both men.
04:20They're the guy looking to make a mistake.
04:24Both guys fainting.
04:25Trying to get the other one to commit.
04:33He's trying to counter the strength of the other.
04:35You're the first two and a half minutes of this fight.
04:37Well, right now, that stab jab is working for him downstairs.
04:44How do you beat a jab?
04:45You're going for the top of the right hand.
04:47That's how you beat him.
04:48Before you step out of range, make him fall short.
04:51Lift him up, he'll never go.
04:55First round of 12 for the lightweight championship.
05:00Here is top-ranked boxing.
05:01Here is top-ranked boxing.
05:07Good round to study him, all right?
05:08Let's go around to study him.
05:10How you feeling?
05:11Good.
05:12How do you feel him?
05:13Nice.
05:13All right, then.
05:14Keep that smart, keep that smart, keep that defense.
05:17He's trying to print that jab to the body because he wants to get you with that hook.
05:20That's the rest.
05:21So just keep doing that right.
05:22Boom, boom, right?
05:23Right, right?
05:23Smart.
05:24Keep that.
05:24Keep going.
05:24Turn around, all right?
05:26All day, get smart.
05:28How do you feel him?
05:29How do you feel him?
05:31Okay?
05:34Deep red.
05:35That?
05:35Mad, little.
05:36Okay?
05:37That's the way it's supposed to be.
05:39All right?
05:39How do you feel him?
05:40Good?
05:40Then, when you're set, then that's when you go, right?
05:42With the power.
05:43All right, okay?
05:44Don't throw it from far, okay?
05:45Put your hands up.
05:46Keep your hands up all the time, right?
05:48Hands up high all the time.
05:50Smart, right?
05:51Keep that simple.
05:52All right?
05:52Keep those, keep putting those arms, all right?
05:57You're free.
05:57All right, take it.
05:58Let's go.
05:58Let's go.
05:58All right, baby.
06:00Hey, baby.
06:00Great, baby.
06:01Great, baby.
06:05Let's go.
06:06Let's go.
06:07This fight is for the interim IBF flight point time.
06:11We talked about none of the champions calling out the name of Raymond Maretaya.
06:15This is a man that is an amateur and three wins over Brian Garcia.
06:19And in his Fontana backyard where his father set up a ring, they hosted the likes of Ryan Garcia, Mark Castro, Carlos Valdera, the Olympian.
06:27So he came up fighting in the backyard against elite fighters.
06:32And this is what you get from the backyard hall, that beautiful left uppercut from our title who starts to open up here in round two.
06:39The training facility at your house, the box with the ring in the back, the main ball now.
06:44That's next level.
06:47In his neighborhood, another neighborhood, would come to sparring.
06:51And you see that technique, or a technique and a skill.
06:59That stab jab from Abdoulayeff and Robert Garcia was talking to him about how that opens up other opportunities.
07:05Yeah, he's looking for, he's looking for the left hook, Abdoulayeff.
07:09That's the reason why he was committing with that stab jab, he was sneaking on the top.
07:13That was a nice little shot down there too.
07:17To the flank on the Nortaya.
07:19It was off with two jabs too.
07:21He started to get a little bit more busy with his jab.
07:23But what I did like about what Nortaya was doing, he could do a combination, occupied him upstairs, and then he slipped the uppercut right underneath that guard.
07:31Oh, nice right hand right to Murataya.
07:35Nice setup.
07:37They call him danger for a reason.
07:41Anytime you are in that ring with Raymond Murataya, they say he's a killer in the gym.
07:47And he's proven to be there inside the ring with a big left.
07:51So, earlier in the show you said, Murataya, how do you know he's on?
07:55He's on.
07:56How do you know he's on?
07:57His reactions, how quick he's reacting, the punchy power, the speed, the accuracy.
08:05He's on tonight.
08:07Nice feint right there.
08:09Subtle feints, keep them guessing.
08:11Nice left hook there from Murataya.
08:13He's quick to strike on the counter.
08:16And then you see the movement afterwards.
08:18He makes Apulayev pick up his feet.
08:20But you see how Apulayev is trying to get after him right away.
08:23They're trying to get some good back.
08:25He's neutralizing the jab of Apulayev so far.
08:28The limit of 27 through the first two rounds.
08:32See the angle shift?
08:34Slight little angle changes right there.
08:36Making Apulayev should pick up his feet.
08:38While he's picking up his feet, you can counter him.
08:41And he's pre-adjusted.
08:43That's what you're seeing from Murataya.
08:45Subtle movements left and right.
08:47Apulayev is coming straight down the middle.
08:53What a stab jab from Apulayev.
08:56Trying to put his bread and butter.
08:58He don't need to do more than just stab jab.
09:03In this commercial break.
09:06The best punch is the end.
09:08They're a little early.
09:09The two bucks.
09:10All right.
09:15After you do, turn that in for a correction.
09:20Just keep your hand up.
09:21Or go under.
09:22When you step back.
09:23Step back with your hand up.
09:24Hold this up.
09:25Don't stand up like this.
09:26Go like this.
09:27All right?
09:28No power.
09:29No power.
09:30But don't fight tickets.
09:31So bring along.
09:32So from the room.
09:33In fact, we're special.
09:35Five pages in.
09:36The crowd is just having it.
09:38As the main event.
09:39Don't have that early.
09:41Applying to me.
09:42How is it?
09:43No.
09:44It will be extreme.
09:45Fine.
09:46You left to the body.
09:47Right?
09:48Left to the body.
09:49Make sure it's at the right time.
09:50Not from far.
09:51Okay?
09:52All right?
09:53You got some fun.
09:54Let's have fun.
09:55Have fun.
09:56First question.
09:57You got some fun.
09:58You got some fun.
09:59You got some fun.
10:00Look it out, man.
10:01That's pretty.
10:02Smart, right?
10:03You got some fun.
10:04In the corner of Zoroop De Laeuf.
10:05They're saying he's looking to counter.
10:06Don't give him the space to counter.
10:08Because Tim, when you let him retire.
10:09The guy's combination right here.
10:10Touch the top.
10:11Split the guards.
10:12They're saying he's looking to counter. Don't give him the space to counter because Tim, when you can let Rattaya do that combination right here. Touch the top, split the guards. You know, that high guard can get you in so much trouble. And again, nice blinding lead jab. Followed by a right hand, splitting that guard once again.
10:37Rattaya in the south ball stance. He's going in his bag tonight. This is for the backs. This is for the belt. Absolutely. It sure is. You know who Rattaya's favorite fighter is? Mr. Andre. And Dre can fight for that south ball stance as well. Rattaya right now going in his bag. Deep in his bag. Pulling out all the tricks. Nice body shot. And then up to the top for Rattaya.
11:07Switching the cadence up and now he's back to his orthodox stance. I would love to see Rattaya get a little bit more on his jab. He needs to get a little bit more active on that lead hand. And I would love to see Rattaya just get a little bit more busier when it's worse. Throw some more offense out there. Maybe a 1-2. 1-2-3.
11:28He hands every time he's let the hands go. Rattaya's had an answer. See, you have a guy that's in there that's smart. Right?
11:35Because I think that Rattaya is more skillful and I think that he looks at things a lot more smarter. I mean, you can't give him time to think. You got to get on top of him. You know, you got to put some pressure on him. You got to force him to make mistakes.
11:49I know it's still early right now, however. Those first couple of rounds, didn't Rattaya's favorite? Just the speed, the power, and the accuracy. He's winning these early rounds.
12:01These are guys very active. Rattaya throws 47 punches a round. Off the left, 46. That's well below the 57 punches thrown average for the 131.
12:15Off the left, especially, is going to have to go out of his comfort zone because the jab's not working tonight, Tim.
12:20No, the jab's not working. I think it's... Rattaya, I think they fall short.
12:24However, in him three rounds, count him, right? Exactly. And he's taking that jab away, too.
12:34But with that right hand, what we're getting down to rounds, just like it's time to change the strategy.
12:42Nice work from Matt Black, right there.
12:45Great counters. Sharp. Sharp counters.
12:47Best punch of the fight so far for being in the face pressure.
13:00Nice upper belt right here. Just putting the guard in with the upper belt.
13:08Three rounds.
13:09Out the left. He's going to keep going here against the upper nine.
13:12He does just at the belt.
13:17He's going to keep going here against the upper nine.
13:18Thank you, sir.
13:19Thank you, sir.
13:20You do that, right? You win in every round.
13:23You do that. Keep it cool. Keep that little one, right?
13:26Touch side, heel steps. Take your punches right.
13:28Go, go, go. And fucking digging with a hard fighting shot, right?
13:31That fighting shot, don't look for it when you're far.
13:36Until you touch them, touch them, then dig into the body, right?
13:38Go.
13:39Go.
13:40Get your foot out of your heart.
13:41Get your foot out of your heart.
13:42Get your foot out of your heart.
13:43Get your foot out of your heart.
13:44Get your foot out of your heart.
13:45Go.
13:47Go.
13:48Okay.
13:51That feel.
13:52A lot of pain, a lot of pain.
13:54Watch your foot.
13:56Take it deep.
13:57One more hour.
14:05Tell you to ploom at.
14:06But over here, right?
14:09Right, let's go.
14:15Round 4 of the scheduled 12 round fight for the interim IBF Lightweight World Title, so far a great start for Raymond Murataya, but Deborah Goliath showed signs of life to him there at the end of Round 4.
14:32Yes he did, finally let some offense go, that right hand has been working for after life.
14:41But check out this move right here, dangerous move, not gonna lie, you're not supposed to drop your hands on your face, but it's nice little parry counter right there, right hand from Murataya.
14:53See that's not, I'm just letting y'all know, that's not textbook, he got away with it, however, if I'm gonna have to lie, if I see that, now I'm gonna think like I'm gonna go downstairs with a jab, and I'm gonna come up with a left hook, because he's gonna bring that hand down the block.
15:07That was a nice stab jab from Abdullaya, but it was pretty, if he could get that jab point, it could change the fight, and then Murataya would have to make the adjustments, nice body shot.
15:19Murataya hitting the arm, you can hear the shots, he's hitting the arm, off the elbows, off the arms, and Abdullaya, he's being selective with his punches, because he's not trying to open himself up until he's knocked out.
15:32You can see the quick hands of Murataya, and now Abdullaya has to think before he closes that gap, and there's a nice right.
15:40And Murataya now has put two together, three shots together, not just singles, but counting, which can be dangerous for Abdullaya.
15:56Nice shot to the body again, stab shot for Abdullaya.
16:00Nice shot to the body again, stab shot for Abdullaya.
16:02That same right hand at the end of the last round, you saw right here, Murataya, and it's a little bit out of range.
16:20A stiff jump to the head from Abdullaya takes a body shot from Murataya with the left hook downstairs.
16:27I like the variation from Murataya, it's kind of confusing.
16:30Abdullaya going to the head with two shots of this, whipping that left hook to the outside, to the rib cage.
16:37I think that's been the biggest difference in the fight. The cadence of Abdullaya is the same from round one to now, and Murataya has been able to mix it up.
16:47Yeah, it's been the same thing from Abdullaya. He hasn't done anything different. That's the problem.
16:54When you have someone as smart as Murataya, it's easy to figure out, and that's why you're starting to see him start to rev up the offense moving forward.
17:06Slight feints for Murataya here in round number four.
17:09Max, that one-two for Murataya, misses on that one.
17:15Max, while I'm in accuracy, the difference so far in favor of the California.
17:27How good?
17:28Good.
17:29How about his power?
17:30No? All right.
17:32Still, keep on his part of the fourth round, look up.
17:35And now, but keep putting on guard, little by little.
17:37Keep breaking on down.
17:38Step in under the cross, and don't jam, so you can reach it more around.
17:41The right is very beautiful, but do it this much.
17:44Move!
17:45She's a little scared, right?
17:46PLEASE SHOWMAN
17:47Good, you good?
17:48You've gotta close the gap.
17:50He almost.
17:51He has to blow, which is the answer.
17:53Ah.
17:54That's it.
17:55All he has is the counter-right hand.
17:56That's all he's looking for.
17:58Other side.
17:59Let's take a look at our punch of the night, brought to you by Midler-Lyed.
18:15It was our first underpart fight and it was Sebastián Fernández behind that jab, putting
18:20punches together against Hazard Jovenici, the former world title challenger, on his way
18:26to a 10-round unanimous decision victory.
18:30All right, Mark Kriber, we are into round five through four completed here.
18:34What is your unofficial scorecard look like?
18:3740, 36, Raymond retired four rounds to nothing.
18:42The first round was debatable in the next three.
18:44We're not going into the fighting show.
18:46Maybe he can't match my speed, Abdu'Lyed can.
18:49And there's nothing in there I've seen so far to disprove that.
18:53One note of caution, though, Abdu'Lyed does have a habit of really staying his home four rounds.
18:59Yes, he closes very strong and he's got two 12-round knockouts, so you can never count out Zahur
19:06Abdu'Lyed, but Muratai right now is connecting his power shots at a 42% clip compared to 28%
19:13for Abdu'Lyed, and that's dangerous territory to him.
19:16I'm just waiting on Abdu'Lyed to open up a little bit more.
19:19He opens up a little bit more than that's going to be allowed Muratai to do.
19:22And more counter shots on him gives him.
19:24However, Muratai's right now.
19:26Dump the right from off the line, but he's opening up here.
19:31Hey, buzzed him.
19:32He did voluntarily buzzed him with that right hand.
19:35He's been looking for that right hand all night.
19:37You're seeing what happens.
19:38What's going on is Muratai is sitting on that rear leg, you know.
19:43And when you sit on that rear leg, there's no movement you can do other than drop down.
19:48And he's not dropping down further enough to get away from that right hand.
19:52He's right in the line.
19:53He's in the line of fire for the right hand of Abdu'Lyed.
19:56Nice counter right there by Muratai, who has been dropped twice against Humberto Valido in March of 2023.
20:03That was in the first round and also in round two against Cesar Valenzuela.
20:07And so early on, he's had trouble.
20:10He seemed to have gotten past the danger zone.
20:12But I'm glad to show that when he lets his hands go, he will be a dangerous fighter.
20:18Which is a mistake from Muratai.
20:20That's what it was.
20:21A mistake.
20:22Again, you're jabbing for big range and it's going to get countered.
20:26And he timed it perfectly.
20:27And at the same time, you're going to see it every now and then.
20:30Let me see if Muratai gets to it.
20:31And I'll try to see if he goes into that little posture where he's leaning on his back foot.
20:37And he has nowhere to go but down.
20:52I got a little bit too comfortable now that I've reminded him, hey, I'm a world class fighter too.
21:01Good job.
21:07Again, you can see some of them moving back on that back foot by Muratai.
21:13There it is again.
21:15That lead hand is down as well.
21:17That right hand can sneak it right over the top.
21:30That's right.
21:32That's all.
21:33That's the best way to make it.
21:34I want to be surprised when I'm concerned about his break.
21:35That's the best way to make it happen.
21:37That's all right.
21:37That's all right.
21:44Well, I want to make it a little bit of a little bit.
21:47It connects back to the Thin Pants.
22:05Remember, yeah, here, here, change it up, okay?
22:09Three or four punches together, right?
22:13How do you feel?
22:15All right then, let's go.
22:17Three or six, six coming up.
22:21Okay, let's go.
22:23We're gonna go ahead and push, all right?
22:25So, let's go, okay?
22:34Round six of the scheduled 12th round world championship fight.
22:37Bernardo Osuna alongside the Hall of Famer, Timothy Bradley.
22:41Both fighters making adjustments to...
22:43Check out the Philly shield, got the lead hand in the sling right there.
22:45Didn't get that shoulder up quick enough.
22:47Boom, gets hit with the right hand.
22:49And gets hit with it again.
22:51Beautiful shot right there from Abeliah.
22:53Way to recognize the guard change from Muratai and taking advantage of it.
22:59See if Abeliah can get those hands going behind that jab that he's able to land right there instead of right to the body.
23:07You know, Muratai answers.
23:09Yeah, that's the same guard that's what Mabel made famous.
23:15You know, where he rolls that shoulder inside and he lifts it up to be able to block right hands.
23:21And deflect right hands.
23:23At that time, Muratai is using it.
23:25He can use it well.
23:27I'll tell you that much.
23:29I've noticed all the glitter on his legs, Muratai's legs and all of his body to look at his trunks.
23:43Worrying about the glitter getting in the eyes.
23:45Yeah.
23:46You know what I'm saying?
23:47The gloves.
23:48If he rubs the gloves on his trunks, that's why you're the best in the business.
23:55I appreciate those small nuances that can affect the fight.
23:59Yeah, absolutely.
24:00Right now the nuances of Abeliah getting a little bit more busy behind that jab.
24:05And you can see when you get a little bit more busy, you start to see you get a little bit more comfortable now with the speed and the power of Muratai.
24:12And he's starting to get confidence, starting to gain more confidence.
24:16This body shot from Muratai.
24:18That's one thing we haven't seen much of in this fight.
24:20Only 13 body shots from Muratai compared to 24 for Abeliah.
24:28For your roots, young man.
24:30Yeah.
24:31So you got what Abeliah is doing is every now and then he's punching with Muratai or he's punching regularly after.
24:37So now if I'm Muratai and I'm not doing this, I'm going to have something in my back pocket.
24:41I'm going to punch.
24:42I know he's going to punch.
24:43Then I'm going to make him miss a day for countering him again.
24:45So I'm going to counter the counter after life.
24:47That's being two steps ahead of your opposition.
24:51And I see that.
24:52See.
24:53Exactly.
24:54You called me with his opposition.
24:55Rule combination didn't have the last comes right back.
24:58You got to make that second, that counter, you got to make that missing, you got a counter.
25:10I got a counter, make a missing field to fill the holes.
25:23I want to go to the party for that job.
25:27I did a lot of combinations.
25:32Half way through this fight.
25:41I love you.
25:43I love you.
25:45If you want to take a look at the fight, please stand.
25:48I'm ready.
25:49I'm ready to run.
25:50So jab, jab, and then you step in with the double jab, right?
25:54And then give me that F2 line.
25:56Okay?
25:57Pull up the jack.
25:58You're on the other side.
25:59You're on the other side.
26:00You have the glass.
26:01Yeah.
26:02And then they operate.
26:03I'm ready to run.
26:04Okay?
26:05You're good.
26:06You're good.
26:07You're good.
26:08I'm not sure.
26:09You're good.
26:10You're good.
26:11I'm not sure.
26:12I'm not sure.
26:13I'm not sure.
26:14I'm not sure.
26:15Give me these pins right away.
26:16You throw the one, two, one, two, one.
26:17You throw the one, two.
26:18You got to give me defense again.
26:19Okay?
26:20You go for the body.
26:23You go for the body.
26:25You go for the body.
26:26You go for the body.
26:27Through the first half of the fight, we see that Marataya landing at the exact same percentage
26:33as Abdullaya, but he's landed 19 more punches.
26:37Abdullaya with the lead in body punches.
26:39What I did notice is up to round four, actually Marataya was landing at 42% with his power punches.
26:46Now he's at 34% compared to 32% for Optimus.
26:51Abdullaya is landing more body shots.
26:53So this is the first 12 round fight for Arataya.
26:58And it can make some good difference on the back stretch.
27:02As you know, body shots start to bring the opposition down.
27:05It starts to psych their gas, take their legs away from hand punching power.
27:09And punching power.
27:10So we'll see.
27:11And we talked about that late power of Abdullaya with those two 12th round knockouts.
27:16Unknown territory for Raymond Murataya.
27:20He's a big name danger, but if it gets to that spot, he may be the one in danger against Abdullaya.
27:27Abdullaya is like a fighter that, hey, he's going to wear you down.
27:33You know, as long as he's in the fight, he's going to wear you down.
27:36You know, he can be behind in the fight, he's never going to be discouraged.
27:39He's going to be always on you, putting that pressure on you.
27:42Coming behind that jab like he's doing.
27:44And again, he's looking for you to weaken.
27:46That's why he uses that stab jab.
27:48So that way later in the fight, he can take advantage of him.
27:52Mark Riegel.
27:53What are they saying in Abdullaya's corner?
27:57Everybody also says, listen, I need him to start going to the body so we can wear him down.
28:02We can take him to people.
28:03And that's our shot.
28:05That's exactly what Tim has been analyzing.
28:08That's somewhere that Raymond Murataya has never been.
28:12You know that he feels ready and conditioned for 12 rounds, but you don't know until you've been there.
28:17Yeah, absolutely right.
28:18I mean, you go 12 rounds probably two or three times before you actually come out of here and do it.
28:23But you still, you being a fighter and never goes for the first time, you're still kind of skeptical about it.
28:28And you want to make sure you manage the rounds well and manage your energy.
28:33But so far, he's looking at Abdullaya back in the fight.
28:36Exactly.
28:37And that's my point.
28:38The last two rounds have been Abdullaya rounds.
28:40And Abdullaya is the type of fighter that gets, hey, as the fight goes on, he starts going downhill and he starts gaining more and more confidence.
28:46And he's going to put more and more pressure and start letting his hands go.
28:50Now I want to let him get the momentum point because that's where he's at his best.
28:55Absolutely.
28:56You know, this is just not a physical game.
29:05This is just not a physical sport.
29:07It's just physical.
29:08It's mental as well.
29:09You know, it's your will.
29:11It gets mild.
29:13That's what it is.
29:14Now if I can kill your will in a fight, I have the advantage, right?
29:19It's also the chest mention there.
29:22You can see, I'm going to adjust.
29:24What are you going to counter to my adjustment?
29:26And how am I going to react to the adjustment that you're going to make to that counter?
29:31All I wanted to do was help kids and families.
29:48The Bank of America was just so important with getting things started.
29:53I assume we are growing together with the Bank of America.

30:40This is a game of adjustments and Tim, both Murataya and Abdullaya adjusted to each other's counters there in round 7.
30:52Another excellent counter punch by Murataya.
30:56With the right hand.
30:58Again, just dipping underneath, squatting, won't come over the counter.
31:03But again, where's the second punch at?
31:05You know, I've seen the single counters, where's the second punch?
31:08And then Abdullaya right there, making Murataya pay for it.
31:11Again, having that lead hand out at mid-range.
31:14Boom, expose the man left side and boom, hit him with that right hand.
31:19Murataya threw nine punches more than Abdullaya.
31:22Let him two more punches than Murataya in round number 7.
31:29In terms of jabs, Timmy, that was going to be a key for Abdullaya in this fight.
31:35And you see that he throws almost 31 in previous fights.
31:40Tonight, he's under 20.
31:41And for Murataya, he's above his jab average of 23.2 by 2 per round.
31:47So, you beat a jabber with the jab.
31:50And you take away the best weapon.
31:52You can beat the jab.
31:53You can beat the jab.
31:54You can beat a jabber with the jab.
31:55Also, you can throw that right hand.
31:58And make him stop throwing.
32:00Not only to the end.
32:02You can also throw the right hand down to the body.
32:04Make that hand music.
32:05You saw right there, Murataya sneaking that right hand downstairs.
32:09Murataya needs to be creative again like he was earlier in this fight.
32:16Because Abdullaya is predictable but effective.
32:22Exactly.
32:24He's efficient with his work.
32:26And he's patient.
32:28And he's been in fights where he's been down.
32:31And he knows he's down.
32:32But he's just waiting on you to, yeah.
32:34Lose focus.
32:35Get tired.
32:37Get tired.
32:38And then he starts to pour it off.
32:40Straight crack.
32:41Get tired.
32:42Then pop the guy at these and says, I'll have another one.
32:46You also gotta make, you know, take into account those guys from Dagestan.
32:55Yeah.
32:56They are.
32:57They are.
32:58They are.
32:59They are.
33:00I'm not gonna lie.
33:01They surely are.
33:02I'm not gonna lie.
33:03Oh my gosh.
33:04I was like, man.
33:05What are you eating?
33:06Just eating fish from raw out of the sea over there.
33:08Like, he was strong.
33:09Strong is why that's the bitter rain.
33:10Stronger than many back out.
33:12Absolutely.
33:13Much harder than many back out.
33:14Yes.

34:46Ready for round 9 of Raymond Murataya's hour off the line for the interim IVF lightweight title.
34:55Mark Kregel, what does your unofficial score run look like through 8?
34:5978, 74, 6 rounds or 2.
35:03I do think, you know, these are where Abelaya distinguishes himself.
35:07These late grinding rounds, he gets into that as well.
35:10But he's got to start going into the body, like Yassau said.
35:13And when you look at Raymond Murataya, his money shot, this fight, Tim, has been the uppercut.
35:20Uppercut coming around that guard with the left hook, right hand, and then speaking that uppercut, split the guard of Abelaya.
35:26Because, again, the creativity, that's important in this fight, creativity.
35:31Because, again, I like Abelaya behind our amateur pedigree.
35:35You know, he's been at the top of the amateur circuit.
35:38He's seen different styles.
35:40He's a smart fighter.
35:42You've got to be creative with your offense when you're facing a guy like that.
35:46And this is where now Murataya starts to think about being in unknown territory.
35:52The latest knockout he's ever had in his pro career was the 9th round stoppage of Vince Huberto Galindo, March of 2023.
35:59He's got an 8th round stoppage as well in his career against undefeated Diego Torres that same year.
36:06So, this is now where he starts to think, okay, what do I have in 10, 11, and 12?
36:14Or he's not thinking.
36:15He's just in there fighting.
36:17That's just that best case scenario.
36:19That's what you're supposed to do.
36:20You shouldn't be sitting there thinking about, I don't know, I'm going to be able to go 12 rounds.
36:24No, he's just in there fighting.
36:26Do your job.
36:28Round by round.
36:29Second by second.
36:30Minute by minute.
36:31Which seems to be his mindset.
36:32It better, I mean, look, it better be, I would love to see a little bit more offense coming from Murataya.
36:39To be honest with you.
36:42A little bit more combinations and get, and be ready and set for return fire and set up with something.
36:48Know that.
36:50We know that Abdullayev is trying to set Murataya up for the 1-2.
36:54The right hand.
36:55He wants the right hand.
36:56He's sitting down hard on that right hand.
36:59But it comes behind the jab, always.
37:01He has to throw the lead right hand.
37:03You see him starting to move his hand.
37:04You see his movement twitching his hand.
37:07Abdullayev, that right hand.
37:08That's what he wants.
37:09Nice uppercut again.
37:10Nice uppercut, yeah.
37:11Absolutely.
37:12Open him up and come around the bar.
37:14See, if Murataya going to get this knockout tonight, he's going to have to go downstairs.
37:19He's going to have to get to the liver.
37:21The outside.
37:23Because Abdullayev has taken the best shot already.
37:26The right hand.
37:27He's taken his best shot.
37:28The quality 24 body shots landed so far for Raylan.
37:32The high on 96.
37:34See a little bit more combination punching from the California base fighter.
37:40Nothing spectacular here in round number 9 so far.

38:54Round 10.
38:55Here inside the Chank Arena in San Diego, California.
38:59This train once hosted in one victory over Amin Ali.
39:05So, big names have been in this venue.
39:08And it's a big night for Raymond Muratayas.
39:10We're also a title offer.
39:11It's going to be against Zaburu Abdulayev.
39:13The last time he fought for a belt against Levittani,
39:16was stopped due to a fractured orbital offer.
39:18So, that happened early in the fight in fourth round.
39:21So, so far, a better experience for Abdulayev against Muratayas.
39:26You see the power punches landed by round.
39:29The most landed were in round eight in favor of Muratayas.
39:32With eight compared to four for his homing.
39:35He's doubled up at 53 to 25.
39:39But this is where Amulad believes he can start getting to Muratayas.
39:44He's got to throw punches.
39:46Yes.
39:47That's what he's got to do.
39:48He's got to let his hands go.
39:49Look.
39:50You came up short in your first attempt for a World Championship.
39:52If you earned your way back to this championship.
39:55It's like, come on.
39:57I mean, look.
39:59He's got two rounds to go, son.
40:01Two rounds to go.
40:02Step on the gas.
40:03Let your hands go.
40:05It's like, you've got to get out of your comfort zone, man.
40:09You've got to settle up.
40:10You've got to go for it.
40:11If he lets his hands go, I promise you he's going to have success.
40:14Promise you.
40:15If you're one of the other Thai listeners looking at Muratayas as a potential unification,
40:29find difference if he wins based on his performance.
40:34Absolutely not.
40:36I don't salivate.
40:38I'm salivating.
40:39Well, that's what I'm saying.
40:40Because before he was danger and no one was calling out his name.
40:43You think after tonight, maybe people start calling out his name?
40:46Oh, absolutely.
40:47They don't want that smoke.
40:48Because this is a guy that's, again, he's a smart fighter.
40:51However, he's directly in front of you.
40:53Yeah.
40:54You know, pretty simple with his offense.
40:55Basic with his offense.
40:56Yeah.
40:57Everybody watching.
40:58Especially the 140 pound, the 135 pounder.
41:00They're just saying, oh, he ain't so bad.
41:02He couldn't get rid of this guy.
41:04Even Haney got rid of this guy.
41:06Broke his orbit a lot.
41:08All right.
41:09In that toolbox, you see Charlie Suarez.
41:11The undefeated 36-year-old Filipino.
41:14Number one contender who will be challenging.
41:16Emanuel Navarrete, who had weight issues.
41:19Making 130 pounds.
41:21And this young man has Olympic pedigree.
41:24He's a guy with goofy, quick, explosive hands.
41:28And that is an intriguing matchup for tonight's main event.
41:32And this movie are not so hot.
41:40We are now trying to catch that shot.
41:44him .
41:50This is not aight to win the Escobot.

43:07It's Arua Pulai, the red trucks trimmed in black.
43:12Alárete is off gas, no brakes.
43:16Charles Juarez, well he thinks he's got something for the champion.
43:20Here, let's see what the championship rounds look like, 11 and 12, goes Ahura Abdullayev
43:26give it one last run against Raymond Uratayah.
43:31Perfect Thomas Taylor not liking Uratayah jousting with that jab, and that's a nice
43:35straight right from Abdullayev in a combination.
43:38You know what I don't like him, man, Uratayah, he has no power.
43:42No right up or good from Uratayah.
43:44No Maris, no what's wrong, he's a 1-2 puncher.
43:47I mean, I'm waiting up, can he throw a left hook or a right hook or something?
43:51I mean something other than a straight 1-2.
43:54And yet it was enough to catch Muratayah's attention, who came back with a quick combination
43:59in that right uppercut, which has been his best punch tonight.
44:06Look, Abdullayev described Muratayah this way.
44:09He said, I have observed Muratayah in the way he fights, and he doesn't do anything bad,
44:16but he doesn't do anything great.
44:19Okay.
44:21What do you do great?
44:23You're getting beat right now.
44:24Hey, he threw a left hook.
44:25He threw a left hook.
44:26He threw a left hook.
44:27He threw a left hook.
44:28What's that left hook?
44:29Yeah.
44:30The gloves, partially.
44:32He threw it.
44:34Hey, he got Muratayah now.
44:37He's starting to see everything come.
44:39Everything is starting to come slow to him now.
44:41He's the head of everything.
44:43He's used to what's coming at him.
44:45He's sitting in the pocket.
44:46Look at him waiting.
44:47Subtle moving left and right.
44:48He's looking forward to the mid.
44:50Let's see.
44:51Oh, now Fabio.
44:52About time.
44:56Look at that.
44:58Being smooth.
44:59Nice little body shot.
45:01Look at that foot from Abdullaya right there.
45:03Change.
45:04Finally change it up a bit, right?
45:12I'm just watching the comfort level of Muratayah right now.
45:16Being at that mid-range.
45:17He's comfortable.
45:19Doesn't seem to be phased at all.
45:24Yeah, he doesn't have that third weapon that Tim Bradley had inside the ring.
45:28It's just one, two, and it allows you to throw that uppercut.
45:32It's a nice uppercut.
45:39Nice double jab from Muratayah.
45:41Stepping the head of Abdullaya.
45:45Easy work.
45:47That's Muratayah saying,
45:48That's your strength.
45:49I'm going to beat you at your strength.
45:51Nice body work and an uppercut from Muratayah starting to open up here in round 11.
45:56It's hard to believe.
45:58He has what it takes to be a champion.
46:03Blood streaming from the nose of Zawr Abdullaya.
46:06That's the sense of Abdullaya.
46:08Don't make mistakes.
46:09Don't make mistakes, alright?
46:11Don't do this round.
46:12I'm going to fucking break them apart, alright?
46:15Smart, okay?
46:16Stay smart.
46:20Good?
46:23Last round.
46:24Last round, Rubble.
46:26It's a great round from the range of Muratayah there.
46:28He's grabbing the uppercuts on the inside.
46:30Absolutely.
46:31Against that high guard.
46:32Oh!
46:33Beautiful shot right there.
46:34You see the legs buckle a little bit from Abdullaya.
46:42Good body shot right there and Rub underneath.
46:44That's textbook.
46:47From Muratayah.
46:48From Muratayah.
46:49Two jab-up jabs.
46:50Splitting the guard.
46:52Coming from a different...
46:54Different level.
46:56Or a different angle.
46:57Nice up jabs.
46:58Bring that guard.
46:59Part 3 with your unofficial scorecard before the 12th and final round.
47:05One-on-one.
47:07Abdullayah needs a knockout.
47:08I'm good.
47:09My guy's making a miss.
47:10He ain't making a bang.
47:13Muratayah coming out strong here in round number 12.
47:17Abdullayah has only landed double-digit connects in round 6 and 7.
47:21And that was 10 and 11 punches landed.
47:25But he does have two career 12 round knockouts.
47:28So...
47:29He's still dangerous.
47:33And he believes he can get it right now.
47:34Absolutely.
47:35But...
47:36It'd be crazy because...
47:38Muratayah cannot allow that to happen.
47:41I mean...
47:42He's winning this fight.
47:44Handily.
47:45And he really...
47:46To be honest with you, all he has to do is get the move around.
47:49He's got the fight in the bag.
47:52And if I was in this corner, I would say, hey man, take chances if you need to.
47:55Just box.
47:56Play defense.
47:57Use your jab.
47:58Win the round.
47:59However...
48:01Don't expose yourself.
48:02Be smart with your defense.
48:04We got a championship that we just want.
48:07Actually, right there from Muratayah.
48:12Up left.
48:13Still working behind the jab.
48:14Yeah.
48:15Sorry.
48:16Why not?
48:17Nice money shot from Muratayah.
48:18Right.
48:19You didn't roll on.
48:20Yeah.
48:21Up left.
48:22It's...
48:24Good defense.
48:25Nice body shot from where it's high level right.
48:28He's hitting the roll under.
48:29Yeah.
48:34Top of the left.
48:34This is good defense.
48:40I don't know that I'd want it.
48:42Right time, the southpaw stance here, the last minute in 20 seconds.
48:46He's been so effective this round from the orthodox stance.
48:49Yeah, he's in total control though.
48:50His eyes, his eyes tell the story from me.
48:52You see his movement, he's smooth with it.
48:55Making him miss all these punches.
48:57Got his timing down.
49:01Nice.
49:19He's boxing the smartest round.
49:20That's exactly what he needs right now from Murataya.
49:24Apulayev taking more chances.
49:26Now he's opening himself up now.
49:29But he's been able to connect with the right here in the final seconds of his 12th round.
49:33Half a minute left to determine who will be the new interim IBF lightweight world champion.
49:39So far, it looks like Murataya's on his way.
49:42Apulayev has 20 seconds to change that with a beautiful right-left combination from Murataya.
49:47It's a little too late for Zaur Abulayev here as the clap for the tiny 10 seconds.
50:00A new champion will be crowned.
50:03Is there any man they call danger?
50:05Or is it Zaur Abulayev?
50:07It comes down to how the judges saw this fight.
50:18Anything like the effective aggressiveness of Raymond Murataya who landed on 26% of his
50:25total punches compared to 19 for Apulayev.
50:28There's a lot of experience in Dennis O'Connell, David Sullivan, and look at Steve Weisfeld.
50:33Almost 3,000 fights.
50:35So we're talking about 4,500 fights between them and, you know, some solid judges.
50:42And let's take a look at some of the best action from this world title fight, Timmy.
50:47It was Murataya's night tonight.
50:50You know, I told you, out the gate, he looked sharp.
50:53Landed in his combinations.
50:55He looked counter-punching.
50:57You know, he went downstairs, upstairs.
50:59I mean, he did a little bit of everything.
51:01Atulayev was strong in spots, used his jab well, especially down to the body.
51:08He had a couple of occasional right hands over the top.
51:12Catching Murataya while he was sleeping.
51:14While he was sleeping.
51:15However, I mean, I thought it was an easy fight.
51:17I mean, an easy fight to judge.
51:19You know, I feel there's no doubt in my mind that Murataya won this fight tonight.
51:23Congratulations to him and his team.
51:25I know the scorecards haven't been read yet.
51:28However, I thought it was a pretty easy fight.
51:30It was an easy fight for a guy like Murataya.
51:34He was extremely skillful, talented, and tonight, like you said, it's his night.
51:39Sometimes the numbers tell a story.
51:41140 landed compared to 87 for Abdoulayev.
51:45The comparison, also the body shots is where Abdoulayev really shined it.
51:49We expected it to be the jabs for Abdoulayev.
51:51But you also have to look at the faces and they tell the story of the fight.
51:56And they can see the demeanor.
51:57They do tell the story.
51:58They do tell the story.
51:59However, just to let you know, fights are not judged on damage.
52:03They're not judged on what fighters face look.
52:05They're judged on the effect of punches being right.
52:08All right, before we get the official scorecard, let's go to Mark Kriegel for his unofficial
52:14scorecard.
52:15118, 110.
52:17Murataya was not just a quicker fighter, but a guy with more imagination.
52:22Let's send it up to the classy Jimmy Lennon Jr.
52:26for the official decision from the judges.
52:29Ladies and gentlemen, after 12 rounds of action, we have a unanimous decision.
52:33Getting the score, Colton, Junior Jimmy Bringside, Steve Weissfeld scored about 118 to 110.
52:41Judges Dennis O'Connell and Davis Sutherland both scored about 119 to 109.
52:48All three in favor of the winner by way of unanimous decision.
52:53And he is now the interim IBF lightweight world champion, Raymond Danger Murataya.
53:06Southern California has a new champion.
53:08He's the interim IBF title holder because everyone's waiting to see what the future holds for Vasily
53:15Omanchenko, who hasn't fought since he defeated George Campos.
53:19His newly crowned WBO champ, Keyshawn Davis, long-time championship for Stevenson.
53:24And the elder statesman of the decision, WBA champion, Gervonta Tank Davis.
53:30Our Mark Kriegel is in the ring with the new champion, Raymond Murataya.
53:34Raymond, congratulations.
53:36How the hell does that feel?
53:38Feels great, man.
53:39All this hard work I've been putting in, all these fights, man.
53:43It feels great to finally have to surround my waist and couldn't do it without my team.
53:49Describe what happened to that ring tonight.
53:51I just went in there, man.
53:52He was a tough fighter.
53:53He came to fight.
53:54We knew that.
53:55I was just using my skills, just picking them apart and beating them everywhere.
53:59And you're still pretty.
54:01Yeah, man.
54:02I mean, thanks to my team, my defense is something we work on a lot.
54:07Listen, the great Vasily Omanchenko is out in the back.
54:12I mean, this is technically an interim title.
54:14He has until October 8th to decide if he's coming back or not.
54:19Do you have any rooting interest in, do you want to fight him?
54:23What are you thinking about the future?
54:25Absolutely.
54:26I'm the mandatory for him, so that's what we're looking forward to.
54:30It'll be an honor to fight him and to have his name on my resume.
54:35And I'm looking forward to that.
54:37Keyshawn Davis fights in a few weeks.
54:39Your thoughts on that?
54:40We've all been talking about unification between you two.
54:43No, I'm not focused on that right now.
54:45I'm a mandatory, so I'm focused on that right now.
54:48And if that doesn't go through, man, whoever you want to fight, I'll fight.
54:51When we sat down earlier this week, I said to myself,
54:55and I told him there was something different about you.
54:58Am I right?
55:00Yeah, man.
55:01I'm coming to win.
55:03I don't play boxing.
55:05This is what I do.
55:06And I'm serious about this, and I want all the balls.
55:09I mean, congratulations to you.
55:11The team has been a long, hard work.
55:13You're a good fighter, man.
55:14A hell of a fighter.
55:17Fellas, back to you.
55:19Big moment for Raymond Murataya becomes a world champion.
55:23It will be a big moment for Charlie Suarez
55:25as he challenges Emanuel Navarrete for the WBO junior lightweight world title.
55:30We'll break down this fight and give you something to look forward to.
