We spoke to Armagh Ladies captain Clodagh McCambridge after her side defeated Donegal in the Ulster Final today.

00:00Loda, first and foremost, congratulations for your champions again. Thank you.
00:04Oh, it's such a relief, especially, you know, we actually haven't had a win in a couple of games now, so to get over the line today was just brilliant, yeah.
00:11You've got a perfect start, you're up seven points pretty early on. Was that part of the message? Do you want them to start fast and pull ahead?
00:16I suppose, like we knew Donegal were going to be setting up defensively, so, you know, if we could get a goal early on and give ourselves a bit of breathing space, it was going to force them out a wee bit.
00:24They did, you know, play quite defensive and, you know, they did shut us down a lot of times, but I suppose it just gave us a bit of breathing room that we didn't necessarily have last year, whenever it was so nip and tucking, you know, you're going at a point in time, like, so, yeah, definitely a bit of breathing room.
00:37And I suppose from that point on, it was just about managing the lead, wasn't it?
00:40Yeah, definitely, I mean, we really didn't want to concede any goals there, I know we conceded a few in our last game, like, so, to keep a clean sheet there was brilliant.
00:46And, yeah, it was just a close day and out the game, trying to keep the scoreboard ticking as something that we were focused on.
00:51Probably would have liked to have a few more scores on the board, like, but definitely our work rate from our forwards anyway, to get turnovers and get shots away is something that we've really been working on, so great to see that.
00:59Yeah, and you got impact off your bench as well, girls coming on and kicking scores, which is great to see, isn't it?
01:03Yeah, definitely, girls coming on and getting turnovers, and, like, Sakeet McNally, who's been coming on and chipping away in every game, like, it's just brilliant.
01:10It really gives a real lift to the team, like, when you're seeing them coming on and getting those big scores, so, yeah, delighted for them as well.
01:16And what an occasion, huh? Unreal, isn't it, here in front of the 30,000 of Clones?
01:20It's unreal, it's such a big crowd, and especially to have all Armand and the goal fans here as well for the next game, it's class, you know, it's something we've experienced before.
01:29I've never experienced before.
