00:03:44The unique pairing with Knight and Damien Priest teaming up to start off this explosive edition of SmackDown.

00:04:04where Priest was given the honor of finding out that next Saturday, he's going to be inducted into the Bronx Walk of Fame.

00:04:20if Damien Priest is successful in his pursuit of the United States Championship tomorrow night at Backlash.

00:05:14Tenuous at best, considering the recent past and the Fatal 4 way tomorrow.
00:05:19Yeah, they need to put that to one side this evening.
00:05:22You can be opponents tomorrow night.

00:05:24But tonight, first of all, is about survival.

00:05:29And their opponent, Solo Sokoa.
00:05:55And the United States Champion, the Samoan Werewolf, Jacob Fatu.

00:06:07Let's remind everyone what's happened with Fatu the last couple weeks on SmackDown.
00:06:11There's a two weeks ago, number one contenders match.
00:06:14McIntyre about to go into the kill against longtime nemesis Damien Priest,
00:06:19who inserted himself in the match, got LA Knight disqualified.
00:06:24And as they sorted things out, enter the fray, Jacob Fatu with his usual brand of carnage.
00:06:32Taking out all comers as he has done since arriving here on SmackDown.
00:06:37Now, last week, LA Knight and Priest attempted to sort out their issues in ring.
00:06:42That was when Solo Sokoa hit the scene and decided to take down both men.
00:06:47But things went badly for the former enforcer Priest.
00:06:52And LA Knight teaming up to take down Sokoa with a BFT.
00:06:56That was until, once again, the United States Champion, Jacob Fatu hit the scene.
00:07:02And again, wrecked all comers.
00:07:04Is this a sign to come for what's going to happen tomorrow night at Backlash?
00:07:09Another emphatic statement from the champ, Jacob Fatu.
00:07:18Wait, I've said it before, but I think it's worth mentioning
00:07:21because it comes with so much more to it, it seems, since WrestleMania.
00:07:26But there is an atmospheric change in every arena when Jacob Fatu enters the arena.
00:07:33But since WrestleMania, the way he wears that U.S. title as if it's a choker necklace.
00:07:41And look at right away, we talked about the potential for just this odd pairing in the discord
00:07:46as to who's going to start the match between Priest and LA Knight.
00:07:50And with that solo attacks.
00:07:52I'll tell you right now, I had a really good feeling about LA Knight and Priest being mature enough
00:07:56to put their issues to one side.
00:07:57You heard that pet talk in the gorilla area right before the match.
00:08:01He was terrible, it tells you immediately, these two guys want nothing to do with each other tonight.
00:08:06And that is why Solo Sekoua has immediately been able to capitalize.
00:08:09Big mistake from Knight and Priest right off the bat.
00:08:13And Priest fights his way on the potential Samoan drop and comes back with the big kick.
00:08:17Always a great striker is Damian Priest with the right hand.
00:08:21Massive amount of power, but more importantly than that, a massive amount of range and he knows how to use it.
00:08:26A guy that size, you often see people as long and rangy as Damian Priest working smaller in that ring.
00:08:34He certainly makes all the most of his physical gifts.
00:08:38Power is at just over 6'5 in there against Solo Sekoua.
00:08:43What I like about Damian Priest, calls himself the street king because he doesn't mind getting down and dirty in the trenches.
00:08:49Can go to war with anybody and now he's about to go old school.

00:08:57And Damian Priest as he finally settles in and takes control.

00:10:15And we've already seen twice in this matchup alone, in the early goings, the issues between Priest and L.A. Knight coming to the four.
00:10:22And you see Priest is refusing to tag Knight in.
00:10:25Knight had to take it for himself.
00:10:26I think there's two matches happening, the tag team match, and then the two of them trying to get themselves on the same page.
00:10:37I'll tell you what, if it was me, I wouldn't want to get tagged in.
00:10:39Let my opponent tomorrow, who is my tag partner tonight, take a hell of a beating.
00:10:44It just makes my pathway easier tomorrow.

00:11:39And now finally, the U.S. champ gets tagged in when the damage has been done by Solo Sokoa.
00:11:47And there have been tensions in the past between Fatou and Sokoa, clearly back on the same page now.
00:11:54Far more than what their opponents are dealing with tonight.
00:11:58You think the acquisition of gold for Jacob Fatou has really satiated that aggressive attitude of his,
00:12:04has calmed him down somewhat.
00:12:07Solo Sokoa has been one hell of a diplomat over the past few weeks.

00:13:36And it's been going about as well as you would expect against these two savages, Sokoa and
00:13:42Fatu.
00:13:43Yeah, tomorrow, a backlash streaming on Peacock.
00:13:46It'll be a fatal four-way for the US Championship as Fatu looks to defend against Drew McIntyre,
00:13:53but Damian Priest in LA Knight.
00:13:56So tag-team partners tonight, a little tenuous relationship there.
00:14:00But tomorrow, two of the four in there for the US Championship.

01:16:41who, if you ask me, look about two weeks away minimum from being back to their full health.
01:16:47And who can blame them for their clear bullseyes they now have on their bodies in the form of those bandages after their heroics in that TLC match?
01:16:55Yeah, you see it right on Montez Ford as those ribs are taped up.
01:17:00Tez was flying out of the ring every second that we looked up to broadcast that TLC match.
01:17:07There's no doubt that his ribs are going to be greatly affected for weeks, Wade.
