00:00Dziękuje za oglądanie.
00:30Hi, folks, and welcome to this edition of WWE Vintage.
00:36I'm Gene Okerlund, alongside my very dear, most personal friend, Renee.
00:43Well, you know, Gene, our show has always lived up to the premise of then, now, and forever.
00:49I mean, just look at us here.
00:51The old school meeting with the new class, it's just, it's ingrained in our show.
00:54It's great.
00:55I wouldn't go around calling yourself old, Renee, but you do have a point.
01:00However, I believe that in WWE's history, there's one group of individuals who collectively personified the past, present, and future better than any other superstars before or after them.
01:14I'm talking about evolution.
01:16Ah, yes, in the mid-2000s, the quartet of Triple H, Ric Flair, Randy Orton, and Batista formed a physical timeline of success, of power, of prestige, of evolution.
01:28You see, in this industry, just like in life, everything evolves.
01:39And what you see in this ring before you is the greatest example of evolution you will ever see.
01:45The most destructive force that WWE has ever seen.
01:59On your own, you're on your own.
02:01The animal Batista.
02:03Don't fall down.
02:06The Viper, Randy Orton.
02:08Run away from you.
02:10And the game, Triple H.
02:19Destruction, true destruction.
02:24Power, true power.
02:28When you set out on a journey to find where that line is in the sand, don't cross the line.
02:39Let it go.
02:43Get out.
02:47Yeah, I won't give it to you.
02:50There's a simple rule in life.
02:54You either adapt or you perish.
02:59That is evolution.
03:02And the I won't give it to you.
03:06It was nearly a decade, but WWE would soon witness the theory of evolution put back into practice as Triple H, Randy Orton, and Batista would reform the group in early 2014.
03:24And while they may have been one-fourth shy of a complete unit, the reunited evolution was arguably bigger and badder than before.
03:31Which, in turn, made them all the more dangerous.
03:34And while today's superstars have history to dictate just how dominating evolution could be in 2003, no one could foresee the looming threat.
03:45Even if Triple H and Ric Flair were firing the warning shot.
03:49Game going downstairs.
03:53Triple H looking for that Pedigree.
03:55Triple H looking for that Pedigree.
03:56Triple H looking for that Pedigree.
03:57Triple H with the Pedigree.
03:58Hey!
03:59But no, counter.
04:00Pedigree was counter.
04:01And Van Dam hooking up the game.
04:03Oh!
04:04Oh!
04:05The catapult.
04:06The game's place.
04:07Melting up the top turnbuckle.
04:08Oh no.
04:09While Van Dam blowing up top.
04:14What's...
04:15Hang time!
04:16Hang time!
04:17Five-star frog splash!
04:18And the game is down!
04:19He couldn't kick out if he wanted to!
04:20The referee's down!
04:21Let's see it again!
04:22Oh, what a terrible break for Rob Van Dam.
04:23The referee has destroyed just a few moments ago.
04:24Van Dam has had two opportunities to get the three count.
04:38Van Dam's gonna fall.
04:39Oh!
04:40Oh!
04:41What a low blow!
04:42Oh!
04:43Oh!
04:44Oh!
04:45Oh!
04:46Oh!
04:47Oh!
04:48Oh!
04:49Oh!
04:50Oh!
04:51Oh!
04:52Oh!
04:53Oh!
04:54Oh!
04:55Oh!
04:56Oh!
04:57Oh!
04:58Oh!
04:59Oh!
05:00Oh!
05:01Yeah!
05:02Oh!
05:03Oh!
05:04Oh!
05:05Oh!
05:06Oh!
05:07Oh!
05:08Oh!
05:09Oh!
05:10Oh!
05:11What'd you have had to knock
05:20to the other level that's been doing, and now what?
05:22Oh!
05:23Oh!
05:24What are you both in back Jame,
05:25Oh!
05:26What are you supposed to be doing?
05:27Sorry Rob!
05:28Pan Dam!
05:29Scors!
05:30I think that sledgehammer
05:31Went right back in the face of the game!
05:33No, no, it didn't.
05:34No, it didn't.
05:35I hope it didn't.
05:36It ain't the same.
05:37Van Dam!
05:39Hey!
05:40Wait a minute!
05:41Look at Rip Clare!
05:42Get out of here, you idiot!
05:44Where is Triple H?
05:45Look at Triple H!
05:46Oh, Clare's gonna assault the game
05:48With a referee down!
05:50Rip Clare, get up!
05:51This could lead to Van Dam becoming
05:52The world's heavyweight champion!
05:54Get up, referee!
05:55You gotta see this!
05:57Clare is not washed up!
05:59Oh!
06:00Look at the game!
06:01He's begging Clare not to strike him!
06:03With a referee down!
06:04Oh my God!
06:05You gotta be-
06:06What the hell!
06:07What?
06:08What the hell was that?
06:10Rip Clare just struck Rock Van Dam
06:13In the breath of the heart
06:15With that sledgehammer!
06:18I can't believe it!
06:19What the hell is this about?
06:22My God will kill me!
06:24Hit it!
06:25I can't believe it!
06:26What the hell is the winner of this about?
06:27And still, the world's heavyweight champion!
06:28I can't believe it!
06:29I can't believe it!
06:30I can't believe it!
06:31I can't believe it!
06:32I can't believe it!
06:33What the hell is the winner of this about?
06:34And still, the world's heavyweight champion!
06:35Triple H!
06:36I can't believe it!
06:37I can't believe it!
06:38I can't believe it!
06:39I can't believe it!
06:40I can't believe it!
06:41What the hell is the winner of this about?
06:42And still, the world's heavyweight champion!
06:44I can't believe it!
06:45I can't believe it
06:46I can't believe it!
06:47You have all opened up!
06:48And still, the world's heavyweight champion!
06:49Triple H!
06:50I'm still the World Heavyweight champion of Triple H.
06:57After Rip Flair got talked to on the government mule bite,
07:03the World Champion, Flair comes out. We thought it was going to help Van Dan.
07:07He's finally come to his senses. Look at this!
07:10He realized who the true champion is,
07:12Triple H deserves to be the champion!
07:14What in God's name has Rip Flair
07:17...saved the World Heavyweight title for Triple H.
07:21You didn't save anything JR. It was only a better time.
07:31In the months that followed, Triple H was flanked by Ric Flair wherever he went,
07:36with the goal of protecting the World Heavyweight Championship.
07:39However, soon that aspiration wasn't big enough.
07:43No, when these two men saw their pedigree and abilities were enough to acquire the entire WWE Universe.
07:50When we return, WWE gets a crash course in evolution.
07:59Let me ask you a question.
08:02Who is the World Heavyweight Champion?
08:08I am.
08:09And last night, I went 30 minutes with Freakzilla.
08:16And as far as I'm concerned, there ain't gonna be no rematch.
08:20Uh-oh!
08:21Well, maybe there is.
08:23The first best starter, Akeem, he and Cress were talking.
08:27I didn't come out here to talk trash.
08:29I came out here to finish what I started last night.
08:33So what I'm saying is, I want my rematch.
08:37And I want it right here, tonight.
08:41There is nothing that I would like more than to embarrass you again.
08:48But the fact is, I've got a note right here from my doctor.
08:52This note basically says,
08:53And I've not been cleared to wrestle here tonight.
08:56I just don't believe this.
08:57And if you're looking for the competition tonight,
09:00I got my main man, Batista man.
09:06He'll walk that aisle.
09:08He'll tear you apart.
09:10Boy, this is gonna be something.
09:11Like two huge bulls and ladies with each other in that ring.
09:15That's a lot of power.
09:19And what the hell?
09:21What is Randy Orton doing here?
09:22What is Randy Orton doing in this ring?
09:24Here's a big flare.
09:25Good lord.
09:26No, this thing has deteriorated even further.
09:28Here comes Triple H.
09:29Wait a minute.
09:30What about the note from the doctor?
09:32I can't believe this.
09:34Randy Orton and Batista, Flair and Triple H
09:38are disbandling Scott Steiner.
09:40He may be Big Pop-a-Pup.
09:42He may be Freakzilla,
09:43but nobody's gonna be able to stand up against...
09:45and four individuals like this
09:46are tethered by the gang.
09:49Orton, Flair, Batista, led by the gang.
09:54Now, what's this all about?
09:59Welcome back to WWE Vintage.
10:01Once Orton, Batista, Flair, and Triple H held their hands high,
10:06what was mistaken for coincidence
10:08was quickly identified as premeditated.
10:11However, what their union meant
10:13or how it even came about
10:15left everyone buzzing with intrigue.
10:17Just two weeks later,
10:18Triple H took to the ring
10:20to draw the line in the sand.
10:21On this side of it,
10:23the WWE Universe.
10:24On the other side,
10:25Evolution.
10:26What's this about?
10:37Your guess is as good as mine,
10:38but...
10:38Like I said,
10:40Dreamer should have left the ring.
10:41Well, he's gonna leave the ring now.
10:42Oh!
10:44The way he wanted to.
10:47I don't understand the meaning of this.
10:50It's like a...
10:50Four...
10:51Four bullets.
10:52Well, it's their world,
10:54and Tommy Dreamer was just living in it for a while.
10:57Today marks the beginning of a new era.
11:02You see, in this industry, just like in life,
11:05everything evolves.
11:08And what you see in this ring before you
11:10is the greatest example of evolution you will ever see.
11:14Ric Flair.
11:20Sixteen times heavyweight champion of the world.
11:24The nature boy.
11:26The greatest professional wrestler of all time.
11:30A living legend.
11:32Woo!
11:36Ric Flair has done it all,
11:38and has beaten them all,
11:40and done it with a class
11:42and a style
11:43like no one else.
11:48Take it from me,
11:50there is no one better
11:52than Ric Flair.
11:54I agree with that, King.
11:57Like it or not.
11:58And all
11:58of the things that Ric Flair represents,
12:02I am today.
12:05That's debatable.
12:06I have taken all of those attributes,
12:10and I have put them
12:11into the ultimate package.
12:13I have put them
12:14into a body
12:16that every man out there
12:18wishes he had.
12:22And every single one of you women out there
12:26wants to be with.
12:30Yeah, you can argue with that there.
12:32You top that off
12:34with a mind
12:35made for this business,
12:37and you get the greatest
12:38ring general of all time.
12:41You get the best that there is.
12:43You get the game.
12:44You get
12:45the world's
12:46heavyweight
12:47champion.
12:49He's a surreal assassin,
12:50all right, folks.
12:52Trust me.
12:54Trust me
12:55when I tell you
12:56that there is only
12:57one
12:58diamond
12:59in this business.
13:02And baby,
13:04you're looking at him.
13:06Wow.
13:07Gym stone.
13:09But evolution
13:10always continues,
13:11and you have to look
13:13to the future.
13:16And I look to you.
13:19Dave Batista,
13:21six foot five,
13:23three hundred
13:24and twenty-five
13:25pounds
13:26of genetic
13:30stopping
13:31power,
13:33unbridled
13:34destruction.
13:37In a war,
13:39when all seems lost,
13:42you take out
13:43your biggest gun,
13:45and you blow
13:47them all
13:48away.
13:50Tisa can do that.
13:51I can tell you that.
13:52He's a monster.
13:53And Randy Orton.
13:55The business
14:02is in his blood.
14:04Third generation
14:05superstar.
14:06The man
14:07has every
14:08gift
14:09that a man
14:10can be given.
14:12He's right.
14:13Raw,
14:13raw,
14:16genetic
14:18talent.
14:21Randy Orton
14:22is the diamond.
14:26Randy Orton
14:27is the coal
14:29that will be
14:31squeezed
14:31into the next
14:33diamond.
14:36You see,
14:37in life,
14:38everything happens
14:39for a reason.
14:41It's just a natural
14:42process of evolution.
14:43You see,
14:51and if you don't
14:51have what it takes,
14:52then evolution
14:53will leave you
14:54behind.
14:55So if you wake up
14:57one day,
14:58and you're lying
14:59in a hospital bed,
15:00and you're all
15:01beat up,
15:02and you're wondering
15:03to yourself,
15:04what in the hell
15:05happened?
15:06then there's
15:08just one answer
15:09for you.
15:12Evolution
15:12has just
15:13passed you
15:14by.
15:29Triple H
15:30warned that
15:30in life,
15:31you either
15:32adapt
15:32or perish.
15:34While those words
15:34never rang more true
15:36than with the very
15:36men in Evolution.
15:38Just weeks
15:39after their formation,
15:40injuries shelved
15:41both Randy Orton
15:42and Batista.
15:43But instead
15:43of adjusting,
15:45Flair and Triple H
15:46ended up
15:46on the outs.
15:47Or so we thought.
15:49On May 26,
15:502003,
15:51Ric Flair proved
15:52why he is
15:52the dirtiest player
15:54in the game
15:54when he lured
15:55Shawn Michaels
15:56into a false
15:57sense of security
15:58and turned on him
15:59during a tag team
16:00match against
16:01the game.
16:02When Michaels'
16:03best friend,
16:03Kevin Nash tried
16:04to even the numbers,
16:05the odds intensified
16:07when a masked man
16:08joined the fray
16:09only to be revealed
16:10as the slithery Viper.
16:13Indeed,
16:14it looked like
16:14evolution had adapted
16:15and was coming back
16:17stronger than ever.
16:18In no time,
16:19the trio was throwing
16:20around its power
16:21and influence,
16:22particularly when
16:23Triple H's reign
16:24as world heavyweight
16:26champion
16:26was threatened
16:27by the mighty
16:28Goldberg.
16:29Once Goldberg
16:30was successful
16:30in winning
16:31the championship,
16:32the Cerebral Assassin
16:34put a $100,000
16:36bounty
16:37on Goldberg's head
16:38and everyone
16:39wanted to cash in,
16:41whether it be man,
16:42beast,
16:43or animal.
16:44God almighty,
16:49he got fun
16:50with a steel goal.
16:51I know that.
16:52He's got a 400-pound man.
16:55He shouldn't even
16:56be competing tonight.
16:57He didn't have to.
17:01Goldberg going
17:02for the spear
17:03on Michaels.
17:04And he didn't have
17:04to do that either,
17:05did he?
17:05That was inadvertently
17:06gotta believe.
17:07Oh boy,
17:08that's your favorite word.
17:09Sweet Tim Music!
17:12Sweet Tim Music!
17:13Michael Scott
17:15is finishing
17:17cover!
17:18Covering!
17:19To Goldberg's head off!
17:21But the referee
17:22is down!
17:25Uh-oh,
17:26wait a minute.
17:26Here comes another referee.
17:28Referee Charles Robinson
17:29coming in.
17:30Whoa!
17:31And this world
17:31heavyweight championship match
17:33is gonna continue.
17:35Goldberg,
17:36both men
17:37Goldberg
17:37are gonna challenge
17:38and Michaels down.
17:39Goldberg retains
17:40Wack Countdown.
17:41It won't continue
17:42if neither one
17:42of these men
17:43get up, J.R.
17:44Michaels is fighting
17:44every breath in his body.
17:46Every fiber of his vein
17:48to get back in this time.
17:50Who's gonna be the first
17:50if Shawn Michaels
17:51makes it to his feet?
17:54Wait a minute.
17:57What the?
17:58Wait a minute, huh?
18:00That's...
18:00That's Batista!
18:02The hell?
18:03Batista
18:04assaulting Shawn Michaels.
18:06Running...
18:07Run Shawn Michaels
18:08goes into the stairs
18:09and goes into the concrete floor.
18:13What the hell?
18:14And he helped
18:14Goldberg.
18:17Oh,
18:17helped Goldberg.
18:19Damn it!
18:20And a spinebuster slam
18:21on Goldberg,
18:23who just took
18:23the sweet ten music.
18:25And now Batista
18:26intimidating
18:27the referee.
18:29Charles Robinson,
18:31the senior referee.
18:32Heavier is down.
18:34Look at the size
18:35to this guy, J.R.
18:36Oh, my God.
18:36He's bigger than Goldberg.
18:38Batista
18:38is bigger than Goldberg.
18:41And the crowd
18:42chanting for Goldberg.
18:44Stop!
18:44But Batista
18:45set down powerbomb.
18:48My God,
18:49that'll break up
18:50your insides.
18:51That'll break up
18:52your insides
18:53with a set-down powerbomb
18:55from a man
18:56well over 300 pounds.
18:58Well,
18:59Mark Henry
18:59started to bust up
19:00of Goldberg.
19:01Get your ass out of the way!
19:03If that didn't do it,
19:03Batista is finishing the job!
19:05My God,
19:06this Batista
19:06is going to side.
19:08He's a monster.
19:09And now he's got
19:10a damn weapon.
19:13Goldberg is a damn
19:14powerhouse,
19:16but this Batista
19:17is a monster king.
19:19He's a damn monster!
19:20Hello, J.R.
19:23Goldberg
19:24and the set-down powerbomb.
19:26He may have...
19:27He may have...
19:28I don't really...
19:28I don't even want to say
19:29what I think may have happened.
19:31And now the chair
19:32being brought back
19:33in the ring.
19:35Goldberg is offensively.
19:37Oh, boy.
19:38Wait a minute.
19:39Wait a minute.
19:41Wait just a minute.
19:42We've seen...
19:43Oh, no.
19:44No, no.
19:45Don't do this!
19:46Don't do this!
19:47Oh, no!
19:47He did it!
19:50He did it!
19:52My God,
19:52Goldberg's lower leg
19:54has been...
19:55It's gonna be shattered!
19:56Oh, no!
19:57Goldberg's lower leg
20:00has been shattered!
20:03Goldberg is screaming!
20:05He is thriving!
20:07He is in pain here!
20:09He's in pain!
20:10His leg's gotta be broken!
20:12Goldberg is suffering
20:13as never before!
20:15Now, look!
20:20It's Triple H
20:21leading his evolution
20:23to the...
20:25Right out here!
20:26And...
20:27My God, Batista!
20:28They are!
20:31Do you realize
20:32what has just happened?
20:34Do you realize
20:35that they are?
20:37I got shocked!
20:39I am shocked!
20:40Batista
20:41has just collected
20:42$100,000!
20:46Batista
20:47has just collected
20:48on the bounty!
20:50Evolution guaranteed it!
20:51Welcome back to Vintage!
21:00The collective unit
21:01of Triple H,
21:02Ric Flair,
21:02Randy Orton,
21:03and Batista
21:04might be the most impressive
21:06in the history
21:07of sports entertainment.
21:08I mean,
21:09just in sheer numbers.
21:11The countless world titles
21:12between them.
21:13All former, by the way,
21:14Royal Rumble winners.
21:16And a list of accolades
21:17that goes on
21:18and on
21:19and on!
21:20Now, I can't argue
21:21that they're perhaps
21:22one of the best groups
21:23that we've ever seen.
21:24But nothing is more impressive
21:26than the response
21:27that you get
21:27when you hold up
21:29one of these.
21:30This is the standard
21:31bearer,
21:32the measuring stick.
21:33This is the symbol
21:34of excellence
21:35of the Four Horsemen.
21:37Evolution represents
21:39then,
21:40now,
21:40and forever.
21:42But the Four Horsemen
21:43are like diamonds.
21:45They live forever.
21:47I guess there's only one way
21:48to settle this dispute.
21:50Yep, you guessed it.
21:51It's time
21:51for Vintage Versus.
21:54Vintage Versus.
21:59You have got
22:00the cream of the crop.
22:02When I set my sights
22:03on being one of the Four Horsemen,
22:05the first thing I realized was
22:06you've got to be a champion
22:08to qualify.
22:10Often imitated,
22:10never duplicated.
22:13This is the myth.
22:14This is the credibility
22:16that makes our sports
22:17go round and round.
22:18to Ric Flair,
22:21Anderson,
22:22Blanchard,
22:23Barry Windham.
22:24We are
22:24the Four Horsemen.
22:26I don't want to say
22:27I told you so.
22:28I don't want to blow
22:29our own horn,
22:30but toot,
22:31toot.
22:33And for all you people
22:34out there
22:34that have ever bought
22:36a ticket to see
22:37Arn Anderson wrestle,
22:38I gave you
22:39everything I had.
22:43Tully Blanchard
22:43is on top
22:44of the whole heap
22:45one more time.
22:46We can get down
22:47and be dirty
22:48with the dirtiest
22:49of them all.
22:50But we can also be
22:51as clean as they come.
22:57I am the epitome
22:58of wrestling
22:59and the very best
23:00that there will ever be.
23:04Learn to like it,
23:05learn to live with it,
23:06learn to love it
23:07because diamonds are forever.
23:09So is Ric Flair.
23:11Woo!
23:11In the case
23:14of the Four Horsemen,
23:15you have got
23:16brains,
23:18you have got wealth,
23:20you have a tremendous
23:21amount of broad.
23:24We,
23:25as a unit,
23:27have dominated
23:28this sport.
23:30The Horsemen,
23:31as they always say,
23:33they're the best
23:34thing going on today.
23:38You see,
23:39in this industry,
23:39just like in life,
23:41everything evolves.
23:44And what you see
23:44in this ring
23:45before you
23:46is the greatest
23:47example of evolution
23:49you will ever see.
23:50The Nature Boy,
23:52the greatest
23:53professional wrestler
23:54of all time,
23:56a living legend.
23:59And all
24:00of the things
24:02that Ric Flair
24:02represents,
24:04I am today.
24:06Trust me
24:07when I tell you
24:08that there is
24:09only one
24:10diamond
24:11in this business.
24:14And baby,
24:16you're looking at him.
24:18Dave Bautista,
24:206'5",
24:21325 pounds
24:25of genetic
24:26stopping power.
24:29The business
24:30is in his blood.
24:32Third generation
24:33superstar.
24:33superstar.
24:34The man
24:35has every gift
24:36that a man
24:38can be given.
24:39We are what
24:40this industry
24:41is all about.
24:41They're always
24:42going to be
24:42talking about us.
24:44The most destructive
24:45force that WWE
24:47has ever seen
24:48is a simple rule
24:51in life.
24:56You either adapt
24:58or you perish.
25:02So if you
25:03wake up one day
25:04and you're lying
25:05in a hospital bed
25:07and you're all
25:08beat up
25:09and you're wondering
25:09to yourself
25:10what in the hell
25:12happened,
25:14then there's just
25:15one answer for you.
25:17Evolution
25:19has just
25:20passed you by.
25:27We can walk
25:28the aisle.
25:29We can get
25:30in the ring.
25:31We can call
25:32the shots.
25:33We beat up
25:34who we want
25:34to beat up,
25:35when we want
25:36to beat him up,
25:37and where we
25:37want to beat him up.
25:39The Four Horsemen
25:40are not four
25:41individuals.
25:42We're a unit.
25:43There is a camaraderie
25:44that is unparalleled
25:45anywhere else.
25:46The class of the world
25:47are Horsemen fans.
25:49They believe
25:49in the symbol
25:50of success.
25:52All your fans,
25:55they all wanted
25:56to believe the hype.
25:58There is no
25:59hype necessary.
26:03That
26:03is evolution.
26:06Damage are forever
26:08and so are the
26:09Horsemen.
26:11That's what it's
26:12all about.
26:12The Horsemen
26:13rule, reign,
26:14and make
26:15professional wrestling
26:16just exactly
26:17what it is today.
26:18When you set out
26:19on a journey
26:20to find
26:21where that line
26:23is in the sand,
26:25don't cross
26:27the line.
26:28We are the
26:29cornerstone.
26:30We are what makes
26:31wrestling happen today.
26:33whoo!
26:37Well, whether it's fast cars
26:45and limousines
26:45or riding off
26:46into the sunset
26:47as Horsemen,
26:49Ric Flair
26:49seems to be
26:50the real winner
26:51in this vintage
26:53versus.
26:54Yet,
26:54when we return,
26:55Evolution looks to
26:56become the
26:57undisputed champions
26:58of WWE
26:59as they change
27:01the course
27:01of history
27:02all in one night.
27:03Stay tuned.
27:07December 14, 2003.
27:10WWE held its then
27:12year-end event
27:13known as Armageddon,
27:15but little did we know
27:16the name
27:17was a self-fulfilling prophecy.
27:19On this date,
27:20the WWE universe,
27:22as we knew it,
27:23would come to an end.
27:24It was time for
27:26Orton,
27:26Batista,
27:27Blair,
27:27and Triple H
27:28to take on
27:29the theory
27:30of evolution
27:31and make it
27:32a certainty,
27:33beginning with
27:34Randy Orton's quest
27:35for the Intercontinental
27:36Championship.
27:38For weeks,
27:39the Apex Predator
27:40had stalked his brain.
27:42The champion,
27:43Rob Van Dam,
27:44poised to strike.
27:45Seeing this,
27:46then co-RAW
27:47General Manager,
27:48Mick Foley,
27:49intervened by making
27:50himself
27:50the special referee.
27:52But would that
27:53be enough
27:54to hold
27:54the evolutionary
27:55process?
28:03Got back up
28:04to a vertical base,
28:05but Orton
28:05just shuts Van Dam
28:06off very quickly here.
28:08And now,
28:08Van Dam with a roll-up.
28:11They're fully down.
28:12They got a near fall.
28:12Van Dam almost
28:13out on his feet.
28:14Maybe going on
28:15the instincts here.
28:16The slam by Van Dam,
28:17and Van Dam,
28:18the Spinbucket Moonshot!
28:20The Spinbucket Moonshot!
28:21Oh,
28:22Randy Orton kicked out.
28:23The Spinbucket Moonshot
28:26found its mark.
28:28But there's a gut wrench
28:30into the overhead.
28:31Oh, man.
28:32Backbreaker.
28:34And...
28:34Oh!
28:35Good grief!
28:36Another concussed move
28:37brought it back to the head!
28:38That could be it!
28:39It should be it!
28:40But it's not!
28:46And Van Dam,
28:47that one's in!
28:47He's got a cover!
28:48He's got a cover!
28:49Oh, what a Norse does.
28:49It's not an orthodox cover,
28:50but so unique.
28:52So effective.
28:53It was a near fall.
28:55Again,
28:55Van Dam one.
28:57I think you're right.
28:58I think Van Dam is operating
28:59solely on instinct right now.
29:01He's kicking anything
29:02that's in sight.
29:03And kicking things
29:04that aren't in sight.
29:05Right in the face.
29:06Orton,
29:07that drop kick
29:07right in the face.
29:08That baseball slide
29:09drop kick.
29:10Hey!
29:10The Rolling Thunder!
29:12And Van Dam,
29:13I think,
29:13cooked his own neck
29:14on the Rolling Thunder.
29:15Look at Flair.
29:16Let me get up!
29:16Let me get up!
29:17He's pleading with it!
29:18Hey!
29:19Wait a minute now!
29:20Uncalled for!
29:21Unnecessary!
29:22Wait!
29:22No one got the cover!
29:24And a rope!
29:25Van Dam able to kick out.
29:27You know,
29:28I think...
29:28Oh, good!
29:29Did you hear that?
29:30I did hear it!
29:31That was sick!
29:32Unfortunately,
29:32Randy Orton felt it.
29:34That was an ill kick,
29:35let me tell you.
29:36Randy Orton kicked
29:37right,
29:38I think,
29:38right between the eyes.
29:39And I know you're
29:40a huge Rob Van Dam fan,
29:41but even you can't
29:42condole what Van Dam
29:43just did to Nate.
29:44And then get up!
29:44All right.
29:45It was unprovoked.
29:46It was unnecessary.
29:47Uncalled for.
29:48It looked like
29:49Flair is walking
29:50to the bank to Rob.
29:51He was done with it.
29:52Well,
29:52something like that.
29:54Come on!
29:55Van Dam pulling
29:56himself back up.
29:58And wait a minute.
29:59Wait.
29:59Wait.
30:00Flair's got...
30:00What's Nate's got?
30:02And oh!
30:03What?
30:04Oh!
30:06Mitt Foley heading off
30:08Rick Flair
30:08and Van Dam
30:09just got
30:10dropkicked from the top
30:11and you saw
30:12how he landed
30:13a scrabble
30:13with a top turnbuckle.
30:15I think,
30:16I think that Nate
30:16may have had
30:17something in his hand.
30:18Oh,
30:18he had something
30:19in his hand.
30:20What was it?
30:21A foreign object?
30:22What do you mean
30:22may have?
30:23Well...
30:24Foreign object.
30:25Okay,
30:25I'll give you credit.
30:26I think Nate's
30:26had something.
30:27He had an
30:27international object
30:28in his hand.
30:29Looked to me
30:30like something mental.
30:32And Van Dam,
30:32man,
30:33he got
30:33taken right off that...
30:34Oh,
30:34no!
30:35work up the RKO!
30:36Out of nowhere!
30:37Work up the RKO!
30:39He's got both limbs up!
30:40And Orton wins it!
30:42Man,
30:42out of nowhere!
30:45And the new
30:48Intercontinental Champion,
30:50Randy Orton!
30:52I'm in shock!
30:53We got a new champion!
30:54Mick Foley actually counted
30:55three,
30:56JR!
30:56Well,
30:57ladies and gentlemen,
30:58it is Sunday,
30:59December 14th,
31:01and Randy Orton
31:02has just won
31:03his first
31:04WWE Championship!
31:06The Intercontinental title
31:08is now in the camp
31:10of evolution
31:12around the chiseled waist
31:14of young Randy Orton.
31:16And you gotta admit,
31:17JR,
31:17look at it.
31:17It looks good in his hand.
31:19It looks better
31:20around his waist.
31:20I know.
31:21I know.
31:21I know.
31:22I know.
31:22I know.
31:22I know.
31:23I know.
31:23I know.
31:23I know.
31:24I know.
31:24I know.
31:24I know.
31:24I know.
31:24I know.
31:24I know.
31:24I know.
31:25I know.
31:25I know.
31:25I know.
31:25I know.
31:26Welcome back to WWE Vintage.
31:55Randy Orton brought
31:57the Intercontinental title
31:58and new prestige
31:59to evolution.
32:01But the same
32:02couldn't be said
32:02for Batista,
32:03at least at first.
32:05At Armageddon,
32:06the animal was unleashed
32:07all over the Heartbreak Kid,
32:09but they don't call
32:10Michaels a showstopper
32:12for nothing
32:12as he stops
32:13the animal dead
32:14in his tracks
32:15and picks up the win.
32:17Well,
32:18if we know anything
32:18about Batista,
32:20he wasn't about to
32:21deal with it.
32:23and I know.
32:25He's going to be a
32:25man.
32:26I know.
32:26You're all right.
32:26I'm better than him.
32:28I'm better than him.
32:29This is fucking rape.
32:30Hey, stop, stop, stop, stop.
32:32Stop.
32:32Stop.
32:33Come on.
32:34I'm better than him.
32:34You are.
32:35You are better than him.
32:36I'm not a loser.
32:37Not only are you a revolution,
32:39you're Batista.
32:40And you've got it.
32:41Batista's a way.
32:42No, no.
32:42Stop, stop.
32:43You not only have it here,
32:45here, you've got it here.
32:47You're a man's man.
32:49I've seen them all.
32:50Come and go.
32:51You have that special
32:54little thing in you
32:54that's going to make you
32:56very much.
32:56Everybody stumbles.
32:58I fall down.
33:00Hunter falls down.
33:01We all trip.
33:03The good ones get back up
33:05and the good ones get back
33:07in the game.
33:09You walk out of that building,
33:11out of that arena,
33:12where they're held high.
33:15You left someone laying.
33:16You're back.
33:17Forget about Shawn Michaels.
33:19We'll get him another day.
33:20Right now,
33:23I've got something special.
33:24Something special for you.
33:26We're walking out of here tonight
33:27with title belts around our way.
33:29I'm a champion.
33:30You are a champion.
33:31I'm a champion.
33:31More than that,
33:32you're a man.
33:33You're a man.
33:33You're a man.
33:34While the nature boy
33:36was letting the animal
33:37in on his plans,
33:38the show continued
33:39with a tag team turmoil match.
33:42One by one,
33:43teams entered
33:44and were eliminated
33:45with the last team remaining
33:46becoming
33:47the world tag team champions.
33:50In the end,
33:51it appeared that Dudleys
33:52would just barely escape
33:53with their tag team titles in tow.
33:56That is until...
33:57Now what?
34:01Now what the hell
34:03does Fishoff want?
34:04You know he's not going to congratulate
34:06Bubba and Demon.
34:10Well,
34:10the first time we've seen Fishoff out here,
34:13maybe he's coming out
34:14to congratulate him.
34:15This match was his idea.
34:16Fishoff's the boil
34:17and the ass of life.
34:19Tag team turmoil,
34:20battle of sexes,
34:21all these...
34:21What does he want?
34:22in order to win
34:26tag team turmoil,
34:28you have to go through
34:30all of the teams.
34:32And there is one team
34:33who has yet to compete.
34:36What?
34:36Ladies and gentlemen,
34:38allow me to introduce to you
34:40Bautista
34:42and the nature boy,
34:44Rick Flair.
34:46What?
34:47What the hell is this?
34:49I thought there were
34:51six teams
34:52in tag team turmoil.
34:54This would be the seventh team.
34:56And the Dudleys
34:57have literally been decimated.
35:01Well,
35:01I think that
35:02Eric Flair
35:03is just a mystery.
35:05And there's just no way
35:06in hell,
35:07I don't think,
35:07that the Dudleys
35:08can withstand this.
35:09Bubba may have
35:10a separated shoulder.
35:12And look at Bautista
35:13to this ravaged animal
35:14that just went ballistic
35:16after losing
35:17to Shawn Michaels earlier.
35:18He destroyed Leibn.
35:20And he's taking over
35:21right where he left off
35:21with Maven.
35:22Look at this now.
35:23Maven's still getting
35:23medical care
35:24from what we understand.
35:26Blair goes downstairs
35:27on an injured Bubba Dudley.
35:29I don't think the referee
35:30even knows what's going on here.
35:32He's,
35:32he thought this tag team
35:34turmoil was over.
35:36Focusing on the leg
35:38of Bubba Dudley.
35:39That's all about
35:40a finger core leg lock
35:41in Bubba's future.
35:42no doubt about that.
35:43And Bautista.
35:46Bautista,
35:47that power bomb.
35:49You got it.
35:49You kicked me.
35:51You got it.
35:52Wait a minute.
35:53You know what this means?
35:55Here are your winners
35:56and the new
35:58world tag team champion,
36:00Bautista
36:01and the nature boy,
36:03Rick Blair.
36:04I don't believe this.
36:06I think I do know
36:07what it means,
36:07JR.
36:08We have new
36:09world tag team champions
36:11in this evolution.
36:14I'll tell you what,
36:14this continues against
36:17retribution
36:18of every member
36:19of Stone Cold
36:19Survivor Series team.
36:22Oh my God,
36:23wait a minute.
36:24We got Randy Orton.
36:26Randy Orton,
36:27the Intercontinental Champion.
36:30Now we got
36:31Bautista and Flair
36:32as the world tag team champion.
36:34What does that lead?
36:36It leads the main event.
36:41Two down,
36:42one to go.
36:44So far,
36:45Evolution has captured
36:45the WWE tag team
36:47and Intercontinental titles
36:49in their campaign
36:50to become the most
36:51dominant force
36:52in sports entertainment
36:53ever.
36:54Now only the
36:55World Heavyweight Championship
36:56eludes this quartet.
36:57Now that is a task,
36:58Renee,
36:59that is easier
37:00said than done.
37:01Of course.
37:02Sure,
37:02Triple H has proven
37:03himself as a multi-time
37:04world champion.
37:06But the title
37:06was hard enough
37:08to regain
37:08when the game
37:10was just taking
37:11on the champion,
37:12Goldberg.
37:13Now a big red problem
37:15has entered itself
37:16into the mix.
37:17So part of
37:17Evolution's dominance
37:19involved the
37:19unmasking of the
37:20monster known as
37:21Kane
37:22and opening the WWE
37:23universe to a whole
37:24new side
37:25of the devil's
37:26favorite demon.
37:27Hmm,
37:28sound a little bit
37:28familiar?
37:29Nonetheless,
37:30Triple H had his
37:31work cut out for him
37:32and in a shocking
37:33twist went to the ring
37:34alone for this contest.
37:36Yeah,
37:37but that didn't mean
37:38that things would
37:39devolve
37:40into all-out mayhem.
37:42He's got
37:46their throwing bombs,
37:47JR,
37:47they're all landing.
37:49And something's got
37:50to give him.
37:51The human anatomy,
37:52it can't take this
37:52much longer.
37:54Something's got to
37:54give in this match.
37:55And it may be the
37:56jaws
37:56that took place
37:57for Goldberg.
37:58He's got momentum,
37:59JR,
38:00he's got momentum.
38:00Goldberg's getting a
38:01rush of adrenaline
38:02here.
38:03That's second wind,
38:04if you will.
38:05And Goldberg,
38:06nothing fancy,
38:07just right hands
38:08and another
38:09pop to the eye
38:10by Triple H.
38:12I don't see how
38:12any of these three
38:13men are standing.
38:15But somehow,
38:15all three of them
38:16are still on their
38:17feet.
38:18And Goldberg
38:19running through
38:20both of them.
38:21The game and Kane
38:22with a double
38:23close line.
38:24And that is raw
38:25power and emotion.
38:27But the will to win
38:28here by Goldberg,
38:29who has dodged
38:30every bullet that
38:31has been shot at
38:32him here in the
38:33WWE.
38:34He's been double
38:35teamed all night
38:36by Triple H
38:37and this monster
38:37Kane.
38:38But he's still
38:39another spear
38:40on Kane.
38:41A second spear
38:42on Kane.
38:44Kane picking
38:45down in
38:46Goldberg.
38:47I don't think
38:48even Kane
38:48can sit up
38:49from that.
38:51Goldberg having
38:51a hard time
38:52standing.
38:53But he is
38:53standing.
38:54Oh, he's not.
38:55Oh, Goldberg
38:56got something
38:56on his mind
38:57here.
38:57That's a spear
38:58on the game.
38:59Just like
39:00his driver's
39:01series.
39:03The revolution.
39:05This is a
39:05no-disforsitization
39:06match.
39:07Randy Orton
39:08to interpeller
39:08the champion.
39:09H is actually
39:10in the ring.
39:12And Goldberg
39:12again,
39:13taking down
39:14the game.
39:15There's a cover.
39:16It's going to be
39:16over.
39:17It's going to be
39:17over.
39:18And Kane
39:18went hard,
39:21plugging,
39:21sitting below
39:22the back of
39:23Goldberg's head.
39:24Now look at this
39:24Cardinals, JR.
39:25The body's all over
39:26the ring and
39:26around the ring.
39:28Well, we've got to
39:28get some security
39:29out here.
39:30Get the player
39:31or the hell
39:31out of here.
39:34Goldberg's hitting
39:35Kane to the
39:35rock.
39:36The game is down.
39:37And now Goldberg.
39:39And it's going to
39:39tilt that Kane
39:40but it's going to
39:41tilt him out.
39:42Even Goldberg can't
39:43do this, I don't
39:43think.
39:44Goldberg trying to
39:45tilt Kane out.
39:46And another
39:47spot location match.
39:49But the leverage
39:49advantage here
39:50is with a seven-footer
39:51Kane.
39:54Who's going to blink?
39:55Who's going to blink
39:59here?
39:59Goldberg and Kane
40:00just choking
40:02each other.
40:03Kane almost to
40:03one lead.
40:04Oh, no.
40:05That could be
40:07the death blow
40:08there.
40:09The no-blow
40:09on Goldberg.
40:12Kane with a
40:13choke slam.
40:15The choke slam
40:15by Kane.
40:17And Batista
40:18Batista
40:18out here.
40:19Batista
40:19pulled Kane
40:20out of the ring.
40:21I can't believe it.
40:24What?
40:25Triple H
40:26is in
40:26Goldberg.
40:28And the new
40:29world heavyweight
40:31champion
40:32Triple H.
40:34Triple H
40:34is a champion.
40:35The Kane
40:36can't believe it.
40:39Batista
40:39restraining
40:41the Kane
40:42after the
40:44long blow
40:44by Triple H.
40:46Well, all of
40:47Evolution
40:47figured it
40:48into it,
40:48JR,
40:49Randy Orton,
40:50Nate,
40:50and then Batista.
40:52But look what
40:52the results are.
40:54It was a
40:55total team effort
40:57by Evolution
40:58and Kane
40:58can't believe it.
41:00Thank Kane
41:01with an engine
41:01of becoming
41:02the heavyweight
41:03champion of the
41:04world.
41:05But thanks to Batista,
41:06Matt Green
41:07has turned it
41:08to a nightmare.
41:09And Goldberg,
41:10what is his fate?
41:12Has he been
41:12busted up
41:13for Goldberg
41:14ever be the same?
41:15Unbelievable.
41:17I mean,
41:17we saw it.
41:18Kane actually
41:18put the finishing
41:19touches
41:20on Goldberg.
41:21What a night
41:22for Evolution.
41:24Triple H
41:25has regained
41:26the world's
41:27heavyweight
41:27tendency.
41:29Good night,
41:30everybody.
41:32And with that,
41:33Evolution evolved
41:34into perhaps
41:35one of the most
41:36dominant forces
41:37we've ever seen
41:38here in WWE.
41:39They decimated
41:40everyone on their
41:41path,
41:41held every title
41:42in their grasp,
41:43and they were
41:44in control
41:44of their own
41:45destinies.
41:45So naturally,
41:46the only force
41:47strong enough
41:48to slow down
41:49Evolution
41:49was Evolution
41:51themselves.
41:53After losing
41:53the World Heavyweight
41:54Championship,
41:56Triple H sent
41:56his crew
41:57to retrieve it
41:58by any means
41:59necessary.
42:01The title
42:01would find its way
42:02back into the fold,
42:03but unfortunately,
42:04not around the
42:05waist of the game,
42:06but rather,
42:07the Viper,
42:08who became
42:09the youngest
42:09world champion
42:10in history.
42:11Well,
42:11accolade or not,
42:13the King of Kings
42:14was none too
42:15pleased when
42:15somebody else
42:16was sitting
42:16atop his throne.
42:17So he toppled
42:18it over
42:19and effectively
42:19removed Randy
42:20Orton from
42:21Evolution.
42:22Yet,
42:22even with the
42:23Viper out
42:24of the Evolution
42:24and the
42:26World Heavyweight
42:26Championship
42:27back around
42:28the game's waist,
42:29Triple H began
42:30fearing that
42:31he had created
42:32a monster
42:32out of the
42:33animal,
42:34Batista.
42:35Boy,
42:36was he right.
42:37The greed
42:37and animosity
42:38that festered
42:39with Orton
42:40in the group
42:41escalated even
42:42further without
42:43him,
42:43and by the end
42:44of Wrestlemania,
42:44we had a new
42:45world champion
42:46and the end
42:47of Evolution,
42:49at least at that
42:50time.
42:50And while Evolution
42:51is a mystery,
42:52the impact
42:53that it left
42:54on WWE
42:55was well known
42:55then.
42:56It's felt now
42:57and undoubtedly
42:58will be remembered
42:59forever.
43:00Well, that's going to
43:00do it for us here today.
43:01Until next time,
43:02I'm Renee Young.
43:03And you know
43:04who I am.
43:05Gina Okerlund.
43:06Thanks.
43:06So long.
43:06ha ha ha.
43:16Ha ha ha.
43:17You
43:17You
43:17You
