00:00It is really challenging to shop these days.
00:02It's not easy, it's not fun, it's cardio, you're sweating.
00:21Ta-da! We have the first outfit option.
00:24I aspire, I dream to be more like Kramer from Seinfeld.
00:29It's always like a lot of patterns,
00:31a lot of like different types of fit and textures.
00:35Dun dun dun! Here's my closet.
00:38I did not know right away what I would wear with the t-shirt.
00:44I never know what I'm gonna wear in advance.
00:47I never really deliberate that much.
00:50Most of my clothes are thrifted,
00:53where it's like you know some 70s something I'm channeling Cher
00:56or I'm you know doing something like Twiggy from the 60s something mod.
01:01I would say like one of my biggest challenges is just
01:04trying to fit into clothes as a modern boned woman.
01:09Let's just say that my body shape is a little bit tough for some of the older looks.
01:16A lot of times I'll find a dress that fits my bust, fits my waist, I'm so excited,
01:19and then I just like get into it.
01:22When things feel really tight around my sort of hip area it just makes me feel really uncomfortable.
01:28So I try to dress with things that cinch around the waist and are a little flowy.
01:32And I think it was Coco Chanel who said like take off the last accessory that you put on.
01:36So I always pile it on.
01:38It's vibing a little bit like I'm trying to be too hard on this one.
01:42Okay okay this is getting my juices flowing.
01:46I knew that I wanted to bring shape to it because when I wore it it actually went up to my like mid thigh.
01:52All right and I'm not that tall of a person so I was trying to figure out how can I bring shape
01:58and bring height and bring texture and still accentuate my waist a little bit.
02:02I would say my body type is like an hourglass rectangle like not fully one or the other.
02:08I'm a little insecure about my belly.
02:10It can be kind of hard to figure out what looks good on you when you're a little bit curvier.
02:14That's something that takes a little bit of trial and error.
02:17Okay so this is a 3XL top.
02:21I like my clothes as big and wide as possible.
02:25And I really like how baggy it is.
02:28I don't want to be constricted.
02:31Sometimes my style can be a bit tomboyish.
02:35Tiana Taylor when it comes to clothing she can dress on a masculine side but also switch it up
02:41and dress more feminine.
02:42She also plays a lot with accessories as well and that's the same thing with India from Love Island
02:47so that's why I love both about them.
02:49It's always so hard to really find a nice sizing of tops to really fit the outfit.
02:54It's a plain t-shirt so people would think that it wouldn't be as hard but it is.
02:59I do my best to keep a balance so if I'm looking for something baggy like a baggy top I'll probably
03:05go with shorts or pants that's a little bit tight.
03:10When I got the shirt and I was starting to style it I tried to figure out different ways I can style
03:15it. Showing the shirt as is, layering over it, layering under it, changing the proportions so
03:20whether that be tucking it in, cuffing it.
03:22I draw my style inspiration mostly from Carolyn Bessette Kennedy.
03:26Denim, button downs, black turtleneck.
03:30This is definitely my quintessential 90s look.
03:35I also draw a lot of inspiration from Princess Diana, all of her very off-duty looks.
03:40My biggest challenge is I am five feet tall so I'm always looking to elongate my limbs,
03:46my torso and just finding different ways to do that.
03:49Now that I see it with the vest I feel like it has to be tucked a little bit.
03:57This is my boho brunch outfit. Prairie core perhaps one might say.
04:03So I tried on a small, medium and large. I ended up on a medium. I kind of felt like Goldilocks.
04:08I like this bagginess of the sleeves. I kind of like the oversized feel because this is my brunch look
04:15it kind of feels like something I'd be comfortable sitting in for a few hours over a mimosa with some
04:19friends and not feel like too tight or constricted. One thing that I wanted to accentuate was my waist
04:24and so I thought what if I tied this up and maybe put like a little brooch on here. I like when colors
04:29go together but I kind of want to make sure that there's pops of things that almost don't go together
04:36which kind of makes it go together if you know what I mean.
04:38Model off duty. Dress down but done up. It's comfortable. It's chic. I'm a dancer so I can just
04:48wear this. Coming from dance practice over my sports bra. So we have the oversized tee. Because
04:54it's oversized it was a little bit tricky to figure out my exact size. I ultimately went with the large.
05:01My biggest challenge was how big it was. It's a lot of fabric and I had to find ways to find my shape.
05:08So I added a little bit of a tuck because I wanted to accentuate the waist and also give it a little
05:12bit of shape. So you see kind of how it drapes and then have a little fanny pack because I need my
05:18chapstick and all my things. This outfit makes me feel very cool. It shows the cooler edgier more kind of
05:27laid back parts of my personality while bringing attention to detail.
05:33This is actually a dress and I made it into a skirt and I just tucked this top in. I wanted to branch
05:42out more into different colors and really experiment with that and just in terms with shoes and this two
05:49top dress slash skirt. I honestly really feel free. I definitely wanted to wear something really really
05:56breathable. I get hot like very easily so this fabric it's linen and it feels amazing. I normally wear a
06:032xl and this is a 2xl shirt. This t-shirt feels amazing. It feels like I'm not really wearing anything.
06:10I'm way too comfortable to try work in this but maybe some light errands in this just to show off the outfit.
06:18I decided to do a extra extra small so I sized down so that I could tuck it giving a crop effect
06:28and showing a little bit of skin. I cuffed it twice and then I paired it with a oversized baggy overall.
06:35So it highlights bump but not crazy bump. I find sometimes that when I wear baggy bigger pants
06:43and I wear a smaller more feminine shoe. I kind of look like I have like little ant feet that are
06:48coming out of my overalls. So I went for a chunky shoe just kind of balance that look. It's very 90s.
06:55Overalls, chunky new balance, Prada baguette, the nylon Prada of the 90s and then the crop top showing
07:03the bump. The t-shirt made me feel of course comfort. It's boxy, it's a great shape but I also think it's a
07:10very cool shape. Usually when you get a woman's white tee it's fitted, it's tight around the arms,
07:16it's tight around the neck and this just kind of gives you more to play with. I think that this is
07:21a different way to style overalls. I think maybe pre-pregnancy I don't know if I would have
07:28covered up so much like this. Maybe I would have gone for like a tighter fit overall tucking in,
07:34showing some skin, embracing the baggy. It feels very Spice Girls meets pregnancy.
07:46I am in my dad but also kind of like five-year-old boy but also Adam Sandler look. I usually wear a
07:56small but I went with a medium today. There's nothing worse than like an oversized something that is like
08:01a little too small to be like truly oversized. I was like looking at this t-shirt and I was
08:06thinking what I would actually wear and I actually have worn this exact outfit but with a different
08:12oversized shirt. I have the dad's sandals to you know complete the look for a tour of my jewelry.
08:20These are my grandpa's. I never take them off. They're from the Soviet Union. If you
08:25look closely into it it has a little like Soviet Olympics sign. This is just the shirt as it is.
08:33I'm not nodding it. I'm not tucking it in. I'm just embracing its true form, supplementing its
08:39bagginess with even more bagginess and I think it's nice sometimes when fashion is just really simple.
08:47I know I look ridiculous and I'm wearing a ridiculous bag that fits like one lipstick and like loose pieces
08:54of gum because it doesn't fit a whole thing of gum. Sometimes you just gotta embrace being a little
08:59ridiculous. Who's gonna go first? The experience was super fun. I liked all the styling and then I
09:07also really liked seeing everybody else's looks. We all came together with such different final looks
09:13but I think we're all kind of in love with each other's looks too at the same time. Oh no yes definitely.
09:18This experience forced me to be a little bit more creative. Like you were saying with figuring out
09:23how I want to style it and also kind of introspective like oh what's my personal style. So what I
09:28really love is seeing everyone's personal style infused in each one of the outfits. I think it was
09:33also fun to see how everyone took a different shape to it and then really played with the different
09:40aspects of the shirt like the cuffing and the knots. It really pushed me to think more outside the box.
09:47I tend to keep it extremely safe. I get a little like nervous about just adding things so I think
09:53it was just very inspirational. But I feel like the most basic things are the hardest to find because
09:59those are the things that are going to be in your closet forever and you want to like find something
10:03that like truly works for you. And it's amazing how I came here and I saw that there is like also like
10:09so much more that you can do. And it's really beautiful with fashion where you look at one
10:14thing and there's like an infinite amount of things that you can do. And I'm all I'm now like
10:21why did I not do any of these? If I could use one word to describe all of your outfits I would say fire.
10:28Oh wow. Okay I'll take that.
