00:00Farwad, both India and Pakistan have nuclear weapons.
00:05How dangerous do you think this moment in time is then?
00:10Well, Melinda, our friend is a general and, you know,
00:14they are trained to take lives and give life.
00:17I'm a politician.
00:18I am here to, I am trained to resolve issues.
00:21So my training is that how can we get out of the problem
00:25and how, what can we do actually to kind of bring
00:29the situation in control?
00:32Escalation.
00:33And for me, you know, the lives,
00:35innocent lives in India also matters.
00:37For me, it's as sacred as the lives in Pakistan.
00:41Maybe, you know, the people in general have other ideas.
00:47But for me, you know, the lives,
00:49especially the innocent lives on both sides matter.
00:52And I really want to de-escalate things.
00:55But you see, I think India should realize
00:58they will never be able to, as they say,
01:02permanently resolve the issue.
01:03They claim that this attack will permanently resolve the issue.
01:07Nothing can permanently resolve the issue
01:09if you base solutions on hate,
01:11if you base solutions on wars,
01:14if you base solutions on fights.
01:16You know, the only solutions that are based on mutual,
01:20the protection of interest,
01:22the, you know, the understanding of realities
01:26and the people's wishes are permanent.
01:27And the people's wishes are permanent.
