00:00If you sign a coach to a four-year deal,
00:04you should almost be like, we're going to re-up.
00:06But if there's some struggles within the first four years,
00:09it'll be at a little bit of a lesser number.
00:12I know four years might seem like a lot in the sports world,
00:17but ultimately, when you hire young coaches,
00:20you have to give them a lot of time.
00:23Missoula's returned a championship to Boston.
00:26I'm not saying I'd fire him.
00:27But if you look at the story for 90% of people in this series
00:36is the Celtics' three-point shooting.
00:39It is this idea that all they know how to do is shoot threes.
00:42They have no counter to when the threes aren't falling.
00:46Even when there isn't an opportunity to attack the basket comfortably,
00:50the thought is Missoula is still just telling them to shoot threes.
00:54Nobody seems to care, understandably, in this moment,
00:57that they won last year's championship
01:00when you're trying to win this year's championship.
01:03They've blown consecutive 20-point leads on their home floor.
01:06If this ends up nicks in five,
01:09it feels like Missoula would be on the hot seat.
01:14Now, perhaps Boston won't want that.
01:17Again, Boston should not want this amount of turnover,
01:21right from Stevens, who then just decided to go up to the front office,
01:27to Ime Udoka, who had all the off-court stuff
01:33that led to him being let go of, to now Missoula.
01:37Despite this team consistently being a contender,
01:41they've had three coaches in short order.
01:43I don't think they want a fourth.
01:45But again, blame pie.
01:51It feels as if Joe Missoula, for the public,
01:57and I don't know if it's the case internally,
02:00in terms of the Celtics,
02:03but it feels like he has been given the biggest,
02:07by a lot, slice of the pie.
02:09Like, it almost feels as if
02:13anyone who is shooting poorly from three,
02:20anyone who is shooting poorly from three,
02:25it's not their fault for shooting poorly from three.
02:29It's Missoula's for making them shoot threes.
02:32The fact that some Celtics get a mismatch on an island
02:41and their thought is jab, step back, three,
02:45as opposed to just get to the cup,
02:50a lot of that seems like it's going to fall on Missoula,
02:53which is fascinating.
02:54My eye, though,
02:58it goes towards Jason Tatum.
03:04Here is the simplest way I can put this,
03:07and we will expand on it on the other side.
03:11If Jason Tatum
03:12was as good
03:15as Celtics fans
03:17want others to think he is,
03:21maybe even as good
03:24as he thinks he is,
03:26then the Celtics
03:28would be probably going for a three-peat.
03:33The Celtics would be
03:35minus-money favorites for a title.
03:38But he's
03:39not at the level
03:41that people think
03:44and He doesn't play it.
04:01But he doesn't play it.
04:04But I'll see you next time.
04:06And I'm like,
04:07I'm sorry.
