00:00With just a month to go before the release of its highly anticipated Switch 2, Nintendo
00:04is projecting just how many consoles it will sell.
00:07The company said it expects to deliver 15 million consoles by the end of its fiscal
00:11year, which ends in March 2026.
00:14The Switch 2 goes on sale on June 5th and will cost $450, and the console comes with
00:18a bigger screen and bigger controllers, and in most cases it will be backward compatible
00:23with older games.
00:25The console will launch with one game, Mario Kart World, as well as Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome
00:29Tour, which offers an in-depth view of the new console.
00:33Nintendo is hoping to build on the runaway success of the original Switch, which launched
00:36in 2017, as both a handheld and console device.
00:40Since then, it has gone on to become Nintendo's second biggest-selling console, with more than
00:44150 million units sold.
00:47It trails only the Nintendo DS.
