00:00Welcome one and all to this, the inaugural
00:28Manor Oil Recognition Awards.
00:31This is a very special year for Manor Oil, 75 years since the Lake Queen named Manor Oil
00:38which eventually became the name for the whole area of course
00:41and we wanted to mark this in very many special ways to honour the Lake Queen
00:46and to honour what she did for us by naming our place that went on to become the biggest business park in the country.
00:58And this year is going to be for Manor Oil, a year of change and of progress
01:08and especially today, a year of celebration.
01:12So thank you all for being here and congratulations to you all for being in this room
01:18because by being in this room you are the finalists and in our opinion you are best in class
01:24and contributing to a better community.
01:27I have in front of me a stack of gold envelopes with some names in
01:40so we are going to get on and get to the business end of the lunch
01:45which I hope you have been enjoying and we are going to announce the winners of the inaugural Manor Oil Recognition Awards.
01:51So before we get underway I just want to thank again our sponsors Hemico
01:57and again thanks to all our judges who as I said before had a really tough time sifting through all the incredible entries
02:03and to help come up with our finalists which are you and of course the winners that we are about to announce.
02:11I alluded to this before but we created these awards to celebrate that enduring spirit of community
02:20which is a principle upon which the bid itself is founded and without which we literally wouldn't exist.
02:29By supporting Manor Oil bid, although you might not appreciate it, you are actually buying into that concept of community
02:37a community of interest in the parlance.
02:40A recognition that by working together we are able to achieve so much more than we could ever achieve by trying to work alone.
02:49And as finalists you are the best in class in Manor Oil in showing that spirit of community.

03:08This is the award for community contribution which recognises those who are genuinely committed to giving back.
03:17People who really stand out and deserve to be recognised for the support they voluntarily give to the community.
03:24All of the finalists have showed selfless dedication to helping others and all of these incredible people deserve recognition for the voluntary work that they do.
03:37Our finalists are Kevin Russell from Circles Network, Alexandra Heard, Ginger Coulter and Harry Connoble-Kippis from Virgin Atlantic.

04:26While we're with this, two exceptional individuals from Virgin Atlantic.
04:30They're unwavering committed to raising awareness and funds for the open house.
04:34Through the participation in the Sleep Out event, raising over £800.
04:38Their dedication went far beyond the event itself.
04:41In addition to spending the night outdoors, in particular themselves, to raise over £800,
04:45inspiring their colleagues, friends and family to contribute to the cause.
04:49Moving on to our next People Recognition Award. This one is for Green Champion.
04:55This category is for an individual from a man of all business,
04:58who is truly inspiring in their commitment to the environment
05:02and reducing their carbon footprint for themselves or for their business.
05:07Someone who's been instrumental in bringing about change in their company
05:11that has significantly benefited the environment
05:13or perhaps they've inspired others to make a positive change.
05:17All of our finalists ought to be recognised for their commitment to the environment
05:20and stand as an inspiration to us all.

05:26Tim Rose from Electar.
05:28Jordan Bryant from Virgin Atlantic.
05:31And Natalie Goodchild from Viridian.

05:46Tim has ensured that the next UK was the first site to be carbon neutral
05:54with zero waste to landfill, introduced a salary sacrifice scheme for electric vehicles
05:58and oversaw installation of evening charging across the campus.
06:02The People Award is for outstanding contribution to kindness.
06:06Some people, they stand out for the kindness that they show others.
06:11The award goes to someone from a manual company who's always thinking of others.
06:16They are a brilliant team mate, who always seems to put others first,
06:21who shows empathy and brings out the best in the people around them.
06:25Kindness is sometimes under-appreciate quality, but this person should be celebrated for having this quality in bucket loads.
