00:00So we're here at Greenacres Primary School in Shrewsbury who've got a lot to
00:05celebrate at the moment with headteacher Mrs. Kiniston. Thanks for having us this
00:09afternoon today. First of all we ask this question all the time to each school.
00:14What do you love most about Greenacres? I think it's the family feel, the
00:19community. We're recently celebrating our good Ofsted. It's just it's the whole
00:24community, it's the children, the staff, it's that team approach. It's a real
00:28community. Yeah it's quite a small school you said. It is a small school, we've got
00:34we've got mixed year group classes and I feel that we know our children really
00:39well and we sort of tailor our curriculum towards their needs. We have a lot of
00:44children with SEND that need SEND provision that we actually direct and
00:48we sort of diversify our needs, our curriculum towards them. Yeah talking of
00:53the Ofsted, great news, just come out this week, good across the board, you must be
00:57delighted with that. Absolutely thrilled. I think that just sort of demonstrates the
01:01hard work that's gone in. I've been in post since September and but also the team
01:06around the school, the Trust, the Carla, Wean and our CEO and all the other
01:12headteachers in the Trust have been part of that sort of team around me about
01:15that development for our school and supporting us to make our way forward. I
01:19think the whole dedication of the staff team, children, families all together, that
01:25real community has driven that progress and that that improvement within our
01:29school. Yeah how proud are you really of that very quick improvement you've been able to make?
01:35Really proud I think it just it demonstrates how strong you can be as a
01:39team and how strong that that approach can be. I think the way the staff work
01:45together and they they prioritise the needs of the children and have the
01:49children's best interests at heart has has really made me feel welcome at the
01:56school and also made me sort of help that drive forward. I've got those people
02:00around that actually are really here for the children, they really want the
02:03children to do well, they really want what's best for those children and also
02:07they actually they work really hard.
02:11So then guys what a wonderful school you've got here in Shrewsbury and tell me
02:17one by one what you love the most about your school do you think? We'll start with you
02:20first Ivy. I love how welcoming the teachers are and how really nice they are

03:02with several things and your attendance has improved as well, tell us about that.
03:07So in September I used to have really really low attendance but now it's up to really high
03:14but the reason it's getting really high because how improved I have been like I've
