00:00So we're here at Purton Primary Academy School and we've had teacher, what's your name madam?
00:06Mrs Jackson.
00:07Mrs Jackson, your school, it's a lovely atmosphere when you go around, we've just been around meeting some of the pupils and doing a few pictures.
00:15What's special about your school then?
00:17The special thing about Purton Primary is the children. Our children are wonderful, they are polite, well mannered, full of enthusiasm and always following our Purton values.
00:29The children are fantastic, we have dedicated staff who go above and beyond and we have really supportive parents, plus a really committed governing body.
00:39We've seen some great little bits, there's the outdoor trim trail and the forest school, I mean the kids were up there roasting marshmallows, I'm sure that just kind of makes their day.
00:49They love coming to school I'm sure when you've got stuff like that going on.
00:53We've always got things going on, so forest school is a big hit with the children, they love forest school.
00:57We also go to St Regis, which is a high school down the road and we use their forest school facilities too.
01:04Today you've seen the Wonder Dome, our new outdoor area for our nursery children that we've just invested in. There's always a lot to go around.
01:13Cool, and we also had a little peep in the well-being room where they were posing as flamingos and giraffes. What's the well-being room all about miss?
01:22So the well-being encourages confidence and students and it's the same for the children, so they can have fun whilst they're there.
01:32And that was an external company that had come in there, so I guess that's the school kind of investing in the children's well-being and mental health I guess.
01:40Yeah, it's really important to us that children feel happy and safe in school, so we did, we contacted an outside agency in Cumbia to work with the children on it.
