00:00Spaghetti and meatballs, it's the ultimate comfort dish.
00:03But let's be honest, it's not exactly diet.
00:05I'm gonna show you how to lighten it up by swapping out the meats and sneaking in some
00:09extra veggies.
00:11I'm using turkey meat.
00:12I'm gonna do half dark ground meat and half ground turkey breast, which is really lean.
00:19I add to it one egg, frozen spinach, a little bit of parmesan, breadcrumbs, and water.
00:28This is what's going to help keep it really moist.
00:31I'm using my favorite jar of marinara sauce, but the other jar, I'm actually going to use
00:37a sauce that has butternut, squash, and pumpkin in it.
00:42Makes it even healthier.
00:45Just roll them into balls and pop them in the sauce.
00:49Here's how I make the zucchini noodles, or zoodles.
00:52I just use a zucchini and a spiralizer.
00:57And look, it looks just like pasta.
01:00So I give the zucchini noodles a quick saute, and I like to add some brown rice noodles,
01:09just so it's not all zucchini.
01:11Still makes you feel like you're eating pasta.
01:14A little salt and pepper.
01:27It's all of the comfort without any of the guilt.
