00:00Hibs are the third best team in the country. I think it just looks, anyone watching football,
00:05they're the third best team in the country. They just need to prove it. And if you don't
00:10finish third, you can't claim it. But I think it's fairly obvious looking at them.
00:15And I had an old colleague who was up from The Athletic doing a piece on Scottish football.
00:21One of the Hibs games he was at, he was like, they look really good. And he was raving about
00:24them. I said, yeah, they are. So to put it in perspective, I did say to him, listen,
00:28they are the third best team in the country. Certainly in form, this was three, four weeks
00:31ago. It's like, there's nobody else. I mean, Aberdeen were still scuffling around at that
00:37point. I know they've lost since then, but Aberdeen weren't really close to them.
00:41I still think Aberdeen have a fragility about them that it doesn't...
00:47They're a less complete team than Hibs at the moment. That's all I'm saying.
00:51Yeah. And it does make you wonder when you go into the summer, when you have seemingly got this
00:56complete team and it's a nice headache to have. Where do you even go about improving things?
01:01Because it's going to be difficult when everything seems to be going well. There's a method and,
01:06you know, don't fix something that ain't broke. But these guys always want to try and improve.
01:12Yeah, but you have to upgrade. That's the constant thing in football. You can't stand still.
01:16And you have to upgrade in positions, in key positions. You'll want to score more, concede
01:25fewer, have more control in the centre or midfield. You know, everything, everything will be like that.
01:31And I always look at it. You mentioned Nicky Cadden there. I mean, he's been kept out by Jordan
01:36Abita at the moment, who was last year's double player of the year. And for a long time,
01:41Jordan Abita was being kept out of the team by Nicky Cadden. Again, double player of the year last
01:46year. And that is, that's effectively what has to happen at ambitious football clubs. Guys who
01:51are player of the year might find themselves struggling for game time because you've brought
01:57in someone who does something a bit differently or a bit better in that area. And like, that's a real
02:04tough one as well. That's a toss up between Abita and Cadden. You know, Cadden's been brilliant with his
02:09assists this year. But Bita brings a defensive salinity. There's so much that goes into that.
02:15So, I think we discussed it again last year, last season, so we'll discuss it again this year.
02:23You probably, it's the hardest thing in football, you probably have to let go of
02:28good pros. Really good, great character, brilliant professional, never lets anyone down on the pitch.
02:35We've got somebody better. So, that's, that's how football works. It's just like, and players know,
02:45if they're looking, seeing a player coming in their position at these, at that level,
02:50they're thinking, well, I need to really raise myself and you want the competition.
02:56this a little bit of grace, you know, my job is really nice to see them in the series.
03:02I know that's how I'm looking for a team.
03:05So, I'm doing the right thing.
03:05So, what if you're doing?
03:06So, you know, how do you do that?
03:07So, you know, how do you think we're doing that?
03:10Well, you know, I guess you're doing that.
03:12That's great.
03:13Yeah, and that's great.
03:14That's great.
03:15I've done that.
03:17Yeah.
03:18I'm going to keep going.
03:19I'm going to be Vuera, too.
03:21Yeah.
03:22I'm going to keep going.
03:23Yeah.
03:23I'll do it.
03:24I'm going to take a minute.
