The Indian armed forces launched "Operation Sindoor", conducting precision strike at terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu & Kashmir (PoJK), the Ministry of Defence said on Wednesday, May 07. A total of 9 locations "from where terrorist attacks against India have been planned & directed" were targetted during the "Operation Sindoor". According to news agency PTI, headquarters of banned terror outfits Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba & Hizbul Mujahideen were targetted. Prime Minister Narendra Modi closely monitored the progress of the "Operation Sindoor" throughout the night and remained in constant touch with security advisors and military commanders. Pakistan's PM Shehbaz Sharif described India's action as an "act of war" & said his country has every right to give a "befitting reply".
