00:00The woman who went missing en route to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission's headquarters last month filed a judicial review against the anti-craft agency just two days before her disappearance, according to her family's lawyer.

00:16Sangeet Kordio said in her application, Pamela Ling had challenged MECC's alleged use of its act and the anti-money laundering law to exert pressure on Ling to resolve private disputes.

00:27In a statement, Sangeet said Ling also claimed that she had been arrested and remanded with a proper legal basis and in breach of due process.

00:37She said Pamela was also subjected to travel restrictions without explanation.

00:42Sangeet added that Ling was questioned on no fewer than nine occasions, and that available records show that MECC subjected Pamela to a sustained and systematic campaign of pressure over several months.

00:54She also said that after relentlessly pursuing Ling, MECC has remained silent on her disappearance, with no public statement issued regarding the circumstances of her last scheduled attendance.

01:06Earlier today, the New Strait Times quoted MECC Chief Commissioner Azambaki as criticizing claims that the agency failed to protect Ling,

01:15saying it was unfair to blame MECC for her disappearance, which occurred on a public road and was beyond their control.
