00:00Thank you everybody. Thank you so much for coming along for this little bimble down towards the double locks and back. We're in low key and informal so I really appreciate you taking the time to come down and to donate if you already have done so. It's hugely important to me, these four charities, so thank you so much for contributing.
00:21If you haven't already done so, please do consider donating some of your hard-earned towards these charities. If you have already donated, please consider donating again.
00:33You know, working in charities, it is a never-ending black pit of money. The money disappears. There are always more things that people want to do, more things people want to achieve.
00:47But if you have already donated, thank you so much. Other things about this ride, really informal, but while we're on the bike path, please, please, please stick to the left.
01:02Because, you know, it's a shared bike path. There are other people coming. It's not a private event. We're not kicking, you know, normal people off the bike path.
01:11So, for safety's sake, and for compassion's sake, and just being conscientious, please stay on the left. No more than two abreast, ideally. That would be really good.
01:23Final thing is, because we are saying goodbye to my legs, I've got a condolences book.
01:30So, I'm going to pass it around. I know a few people are staying here and not coming on the ride with us, so I'll pass it to you. Maybe, Tim, you can take the honors.
01:42There's some wonderful multi-colour pens there, so you can choose which colour you'd like to write your condolences for.
01:51That, basically, is for me, because I would like some memories of this day, you know, when, in my old age, when all the memories have faded.
02:00And also, the internet's probably blown up at that point, so there'll be no records. And so, it's nice to have a record and a book. So, if you do get the chance, please do leave a personal note or message there.
02:12I think that's basically everything. I've just heard that, actually, we've broken the 10k target. We've broken this morning.
02:26Please don't take that as a signal to stop donating. Please do feel free to go back.
02:33Final thing is, a lot of you, very generously, have said you want to buy me a coffee and a cake today.
02:39I really like coffee, but there are limits to how much I can actually ingest in a single city.
02:46So, instead of buying me a coffee and a cake for £5, pop back on the JustGiving and donate £5 there.
02:53There's no limit to how many donations you risk to make.
02:58Thank you again, so much, from the bottom of my heart, for coming out here. It's wonderful to see you all.
03:04We've got various different bicycles and different get-ups and everything.
03:09And I hope we have a really safe and wonderful little spin.
03:12And then come back and then we will basically hit up Boatyard or hit up Chops and Brewery for beer or coffee or whatever.
03:20And have a bit of a celebration of life. So, thank you. Thank you so much for coming. And let's get going.
