00:00Well, it's always good news when you can take advantage of the ability to control your own trade policy, which we have post-Brexit, to conclude deals with India, one of the fastest growing economies alongside many other global countries.
00:13Exports are really important to the UK economy.
00:16We need to see the detail. Trade-offs always involve a compromise.
00:19It's good when we've got access to other markets for things like Scottish whisky, but within the small print is talk about improving immigration to the UK and giving Indian workers here a break on national insurance.
00:35So on the one hand, the government's putting national insurance up for British workers.
00:38On the other hand, it seems to be, in the small print, lowering national insurance, which will make Indian workers more competitive than Brits.
