UP gears up for May 7 Mock Drill; Civil Defence, Police conduct with air raid siren test

Lucknow (UP), May 06 (ANI): An air raid siren test was conducted at the Police Lines on May 06 as part of a rehearsal for a nationwide mock drill. The Ministry of Home Affairs has directed all states and UTs to hold civil defence mock drills on May 7. Police, Civil Defence, and local administration jointly participated in the preparedness exercise in Lucknow. A police officer said the teams were preparing a day in advance to ensure smooth execution of Tuesday’s drills. The drills aim to improve coordination and readiness in responding to complex emergency situations.
