00:00In other news, the police is getting hot on the trail of the abductors and those who aided and abetted them in the botched abduction of Juan Anson Que case,

00:10who was killed by his abductor suspects despite the ransom being paid.

00:15In addition, the junket operations and the e-wallet account holders through whom the ransom money was funneled to the kidnappers has been identified.

00:25Our Christian Bascones tells us more.

00:27This was assorted by the Philippine National Police after identifying the junket operators and e-wallet account holders used to channel the ransom money

00:51following the kidnapping of Chinese businessman Anson Que,

00:54who was later killed by the suspects after the money was deposited.

00:58The junket operators who serve as conduits for the ransom money were responsible for disseminating the funds that were supposed to secure the release of the victim.

01:06We will be talking to the anti-money laundering council and they will be talking with the Pagpore regarding the regulation of the junkets.

01:15This is a tool for them to money-launder the money.

01:19It's a different kind of ransom that is physical, but it's from physical to crypto and to e-wallets.

01:27A deeper investigation will be conducted due to the wide network of illegal money flow.

01:34The movement of the funds is being strictly monitored as they can be withdrawn from anywhere.

01:50The two major junket operators involved are the White Horse Club and Nine Dynasty Group, owned by Lee Duan Wang, a.k.a. Mark Ong.

01:59Although Mark Ong's naturalization was approved by both the House of Representatives and the Senate,

02:05President Ferdinand R. Myers Jr. vetoed it due to the warnings from government agencies regarding Wang's character and potential threats to the national security.

02:14Among the actions taken, revocation of the authority to operate the junket agreement between the operator and the casino,

02:21physical funds connected to kidnap for ransom or money laundering, including digital or virtual assets,

02:28confiscations of properties, whether tangible or virtual, including the forfeiture of assets or their equivalent value,

02:35filing of money laundering cases against all individuals involved in receiving, sending, or converting the ransom money.

02:42It's an eye-opener for us right now to see paano nil-launder yung pera.

02:49We'll come up with a better system, better protocols, and better regulations and laws that will really stop.

02:56Meanwhile, the reward for information leading to the whereabouts of alias Kelly Tan Lim,

03:01who acted as the decoy in the kidnapping of Anson Ke, has been raised to 10 million pesos.

03:07According to the intelligence report, she was last seen on Barakay Island on April 21 this year.

03:13The PNP also assured the remaining at-large suspects will not be able to leave the country.
