00:00Team of Doom has split up for good. We'll show you how that happened this morning on TBS.
00:05The fabulous Freebirds are the new World Tag Team Champions.
00:09We'll show you how that happened this morning on TBS and Barry Windham against Eligante
00:13in a match with tremendous ramifications this morning on the Power Hour.
00:30We'll show you how that happened this morning on TBS and Barry Windham.
01:00First from Hollywood, Florida, 253 pounds, D.D.S.T.A.
01:11Ring announcer Tony Gillum has completed his introduction.
01:15Nick Patrick, the referee, with his tag team event.
01:19Jim Ross alongside Paul E. Danielsley.
01:21Paul, as you mentioned at the top of the program, we've really got some big, big news to the fans here this morning on TBS.
01:27Much of it concerning this past Sunday's tremendous event in Phoenix, the third annual Wrestle War.
01:33Oh, we most certainly do. I mean, this brings a whole new meaning to this match right here
01:37because both these teams are looking to score a victory
01:40and become contenders to the new World Tag Team Champions,
01:45Michael P.S. Hayes and Jimmy Jam Garvin, the fabulous Freebirds.
01:49We have some great tag team action in the hour, as Paul mentioned,
01:54highlighted by Sting and Lex Luger together.
01:57We'll have that a little bit later here this morning on TBS.
02:00It's Jack O' Victory in there with a sharp kick to the face of Dave Johnson in a right hand.
02:07Jack O' Victory, a very accomplished performer, as is his teammate, Rip Morgan.
02:13Oh, yeah, they're a tremendous tag team, and they won all the tag team titles over in New Zealand,
02:18and they won them by using double tactics just like that.
02:22Another right by Victory.
02:28They really don't have a high regard for the rules, I can tell you that, for Facelock.
02:33And another exchange is made here as Rip Morgan comes in.
02:39I want to thank all the great fans that joined us in Phoenix.
02:44We enjoyed seeing fans from all over America.
02:48Certainly appreciate them being with us.
02:49And, of course, our next major pay-per-view spectacular will be on May the 19th.
02:55We'll be talking more about that in upcoming weeks here on TBS.
02:59Beautiful double teamwork right there by the Royal Family.
03:03Rip Morgan throwing the opponent right into Jack O' Victory,
03:06shooting across the ring into a tremendous close drive.
03:10John Peterson trying to mount some offense here,
03:12but really having very little effect against Jack O' Victory.
03:15Victory and Morgan, perhaps one of the more underrated tag team combinations in world championship wrestling.
03:23Certainly a team that would like to have the opportunity to wrestle the fabulous Freebirds
03:28for the WCW World Tag Team Championship at some point in time.
03:32And now that doom is no longer together, that just makes the Royal Family one notch up, doesn't it?
03:38Yeah, it sure does.
03:39And, you know, tomorrow on the main event, we're going to see Ron Simmons against Dirty Dutch Van Tell.
03:43It looks like Ron Simmons has changed his philosophy as far as his association with Long and Reed are concerned.
03:52Yeah, well, Simmons might not even make it to the main event tomorrow
03:55because tonight at 6.05 on World Championship Wrestling,
03:58I'm going to have Teddy Long and Butch Reed in the danger zone.
04:02And from what I understand, they're going to have a message for Simmons.
04:05Simmons might just leave WCW entirely after what they have to say directed towards him.
04:10Should be an interesting broadcast tonight.
04:12Tag made.
04:13Jack O' Victory again.
04:15Tag again to Rip Morgan.
04:15Both Victory and Morgan about 275.
04:18Here's their coup de grace maneuver.
04:23Face first, suplex, and they've won.
04:26The winners of the match, Chris Morgan and Jack O' Victory, the Royal Family!
04:30Still to come to broadcast, Vic Sid Vicious, plus that matchup, Eligante and Barry Windham.
04:35Eligante and Barry Windham are heading your way this weekend on the Power Hour.
04:40The Royal Family looking for a tag team title shot.
04:43So is everybody else now that the Freebirds are the World Tag Team Champions.
04:48Beautiful double gourd buster, Jack O' Victory and Rip Morgan.
04:52Looking for a title shot against the new World Champions, the Freebirds.
05:02Still to come this morning on the Power Hour,
05:04Sting and Lex Luger in tag team action.
05:06The natural Dustin Rhodes will be with us as well.
05:08But you know, Paul, the last couple of weeks have been extremely volatile
05:11for Theodore Arlong, Ron Simmons, and Hacksaw Butch Reed.
05:15Not only have they lost the World Tag Team Championships,
05:17and we'll show you fans how that happened this past Sunday,
05:20in Phoenix at the third annual Wrestle War.
05:22We're also going to see what happened to the Omni recently between these gentlemen.
05:26Well, you see, the two big studs got in a real big fight in the Omni,
05:30but Theodore Arlong smoothed things over
05:32because it's like when a marriage breaks up,
05:33you always go back, you give it one more chance,
05:36you hope things can work out.
05:37But it was just like Donald and Ivana.
05:39Everybody knew that Doom was going to split up.
05:42We just didn't know one.
05:43And at Wrestle War, we found out that Doom was doomed.
05:46We'll show you that exclusive footage a little bit later this morning
05:50here on TBS in the Power Hour.
05:52And when we come back,
05:53it's the man that wants to regain the World Television Championship.
05:57When we return, we'll see the Z-Man in one-on-one competition.
06:002-4-1 pounds!
06:13This is the Z-Man!
06:17And in the radio, the opponent representing the St. McColl,
06:20Lieutenant James Earl Rye!
06:23Welcome back, everyone, to TBS in the Power Hour.
06:26Jim Ross and Polly Davis are back with you.
06:27Lieutenant James Earl Rye will be challenging the former WCW World Television Kitchen,
06:33the Z-Man, here in this one-on-one contest.
06:37Great crowd on hand, and referee Randy Anderson calls for the bell.
06:47Z-Man with the wrist lock and the advantage.
06:49But Lieutenant James Earl Rye, whether it be in tag team competition
06:53or in one-on-one competition, as we see him here,
06:56as a very accomplished athlete by Crossbody, got only one out of him.
07:01Oh, he's a tremendous competitor,
07:02and for a guy that just left the police force only about a year and a half ago,
07:07he's come a long, long way in World Championship Wrestling.
07:10I've noticed the increased muscular definition,
07:13in the upper body of the Z-Man, he's really been training hard
07:17because he wants to regain.
07:19There he's going for that sleeper.
07:21That's a maneuver that he's also been working on.
07:23I think that you can see the bulk that he's creating through this intensive workout.
07:31It's really helped him perfect the use of the sleeper hold,
07:35but it's also getting him ready, as he says,
07:38to win back the World Television Championship from Arne Anderson.
07:42Oh, yeah, he's trying to add a few power moves to his game plan,
07:45and the thing is, the Z-Man is not building up his body to look like a pretty boy.
07:50He's not trying to be an Arnold Schwarzenegger.
07:52It's not for show.
07:54It's not so that he can do a new poster.
07:56He's building up his body to add to his game plan.
07:59He's building up his body to add strength.
08:01He's not doing it so that he can just be another guy, another pretty face.
08:06Side headlock by Lieutenant James Earl Wright.
08:11And a good counter move.
08:13Down in the back stuplex by the Z-Man.
08:17Irish whip, center of the ropes.
08:19Nice drop kick there.
08:21And obviously the new muscular bulk that he's adding
08:24is not taking away from his aerial assault,
08:28which is very important for the Z-Man.
08:31The Z-Man will be, of course, Paul, this Tuesday night
08:33at our big national TV station.
08:35That should be a great one.
08:37Oh, it most certainly will.
08:38The Z-Man's among what a 30 star is going to be at Marietta,
08:42Georgia, the Cobb County Civic Center.
08:44It starts at 7 p.m.
08:45And from what I understand,
08:46there's quite a few people that have a score to settle with the Z-Man.
08:50They're going to take it up with them this Tuesday night.
08:53Scoop slam by Lieutenant James Earl Wright.
08:57Trying to turn it into a modified power slam there.
09:01Up on the second rope.
09:02Went for the headbutt, but the Z-Man very indefinitely moved out of the way.
09:08Very quickly back up.
09:10And sends the Lieutenant for the ride in the middle of the rope.
09:12Good hitbox tickle.
09:14Paul, it's very well done.
09:15The Z-Man right now trying to capitalize on the mistake that the Lieutenant made.
09:19He elevates it.
09:20The Z-Man now showing a lot of offense.
09:23As we have said, he's a man that wants to win the WCW Television Championship for Orrin Anderson.
09:32And there he goes for that sleeper.
09:33He's got it locked in pretty well.
09:35And right in the center of the ring,
09:39I don't think that the Lieutenant has anywhere to go but to sleep for him.
09:43Well, he needs to reach over for the ropes, and it looks like it's too late.
09:47If he can't crawl over, it's going to be all over for the Lieutenant.
09:52Referee Randy Anderson checking him.
09:54The Z-Man, who's certainly had his problems in recent weeks with Terry Taylor.
09:58I don't think those problems have been solved.
10:00Z-Man wins it using that sleeper.
10:08And now, as is customary, he's got to wake him up.
10:12Well, I've said it before, and I'll say it again.
10:14The Z-Man wrestling puts everybody to sleep.
10:17Right here, it works on Lieutenant James Earl Wright.
10:21Fans over again.
10:22World Championship Wrestling returns to the Omni in Atlanta.
10:26On Sunday night, March the 10th, that's an 8 o'clock start.
10:29We'll talk more about it in the hour.
10:36As we have said, ladies and gentlemen, Arne Anderson is the television champion of the world.
10:41And, of course, Z-Man would love to have the opportunity to wrestle for that championship again.
10:45Who are you, Zorro?
10:46That's the question.
10:47Why does a guy call himself Z-Man?
10:49Tom Zink, hence the word Z-Man.
10:51But, you see, that's the whole point.
10:53He's so concerned with what his name is going to be
10:55that he's not concerned with the WCW World TV title.
10:58And to get by Double A, Arne Anderson,
11:01he's going to have to do a lot more than say,
11:02I'm the Z-Man!
11:04He's going to have to come out there and give Arne Anderson the fight of his life.
11:07One young man that's certainly been giving a lot of opponents the fight of their lives
11:10is the natural Dustin Rhodes.
11:12The son of the American dream, Dusty Rhodes,
11:14has been very impressive in recent weeks here in WCW.
11:17Oh, he has been very impressive, and he's a natural.
11:19And let's give the guy credit.
11:20He got by another top contender, Nature Boy Buddy Landell.
11:23But there's still a lot of people on that ladder ahead of Dustin Rhodes.
11:27He's going to have to work his way up before he gets to Double A, Arne Anderson.
11:30We'll see the natural Dustin Rhodes right after this.
11:33Time out.
11:34The Rolling Thunder Tour 91 all over America.
11:49It'll stop in your town, fans.
11:50Monday, March 11th.
11:52Dolphin, Pacific Center, 7.30.
11:54Stan Hansen, Sid Vicious, Rick Flair.
11:56Sunday the 10th, the Omni in Atlanta, 7.30.
11:58Dustin Rhodes, Rick Steiner, Lex Luger.
12:00Saturday the 9th, Nashville, Municipal Auditorium at 8.
12:04It'll be the fabulous Freebirds, Terry Taylor and Dangerous Dan Spivey.
12:07Friday the 8th, Knoxville, Pacific Auditorium, Coliseum at 8.
12:11Sting, El Gigante and Scott Steiner.
12:14Thursday the 7th, Huntsville, Conbron Civic Center, 7.30.
12:17Barry Windham, Larry Zabisco, Arne Anderson.
12:20Wednesday the 6th in Greenville, Memorial Auditorium, 7.30.
12:24Tommy Rich, the Junkyard Dog and Z-Man.
12:26Tuesday the 5th, the Cobb County Civic Center, Marietta, 7 o'clock.
12:30Rick Flair, Sid Vicious, Terry Taylor.
12:32Tomorrow, Convention Center, Atlantic City, 7.30.
12:35Lex Luger, Sting and El Gigante.
12:37It's a night in Waldorf at Thomas Stone High School, 8 o'clock.
12:41Barry Windham, the Freebirds, Arne Anderson.
12:43Rolling Thunder Tour, 91.
12:46Dustin Rhodes!
12:48His opponent is from Hickory, North Carolina, 265 pounds, Joe Cruz.
12:57Big Joe Cruz to challenge Dustin Rhodes here.
13:01He's got the tall range of competitors, Dustin Rhodes.
13:05Joe Cruz both about 6'5", 6'6".
13:08Oh, yeah, they both are.
13:10And Joe Cruz, however, has one advantage over Dustin Rhodes.
13:14He's been in the ring a lot longer than this young kid.
13:16I have a feeling that Cruz, if he can use his experience to his advantage,
13:20might just sneak by the natural.
13:21Dustin Rhodes will be on the big card in the Omni in Atlanta on Sunday, March the 10th.
13:3010 o'clock takeover.
13:32By the way, for our regular fans, that event on March the 10th will begin at 8 o'clock.
13:38Good succession of dropkicks.
13:39The Chicago Bulls play our Atlanta Hawks that day in the afternoon.
13:47So the wrestling match will start about 8 o'clock in Sunday night, March 10th.
13:51So you mean Michael Jordan might just hang out and sit in the front row in the Omni on March 10th?
13:56You never know.
13:57You never know, Paul.
13:58I plan on being at the basketball game.
14:00Of course, you know, I'm a season ticket holder.
14:02Very proud to.
14:03For the Chicago Bulls?
14:04No, for the Atlanta Hawks.
14:05I'm a big Hawks fan.
14:06Why would you be an Atlanta Hawks fan?
14:08You're not from Atlanta.
14:09You're from Oklahoma.
14:10Oh, I forgot.
14:11They don't have a basketball team in Oklahoma, do they?
14:13Not an NBA team, no.
14:15Maybe one day Oklahoma will be an important enough state where they can get their own basketball team.
14:19I don't think that has anything.
14:21Importance has anything to do with it.
14:23You know, in New York, we have two basketball teams.
14:28Nice move there by Dustin Rhodes, keeping Joe Cruz at bay.
14:32You have two teams in New York?
14:33Yeah.
14:34I thought you had one in New York and one in New Jersey.
14:36Yeah.
14:36Jersey really doesn't count.
14:39Only reason they're in Jersey is for taxes.
14:42Left hand by Joe Cruz.
14:43The southpaw finding his mark there on Dustin Rose.
14:46Dustin using the hair and taking Joe Cruz straight down.
14:50This kid has a really quick temper, but what he needs to do is keep it under control and use it to his advantage.
14:57Long elbow by the big youngster.
14:59If he can use his aggression and take it out at the right moments, then he's going to be a top superstar.
15:06If he lets his temper get the best of him, he's going to fail real quick.
15:09Here comes that bulldog headlock on his favorite maneuvers.
15:14And face first goes Joe Cruz to the canvas.
15:18That's almost got like a DDT effect.
15:19It's good form shown here by Dustin Rose.
15:28But like I said, he needs to concentrate on doing things to his opponent at the right time.
15:35A good back elbow by the natural.
15:37He has to keep his temper at bay.
15:40Then and only then will he rise to the top of world championship wrestling.
15:45Dustin Rose certainly has a great deal of potential.
15:53We look forward to great things from that young man in the next few weeks here on world championship wrestling.
15:58And Paul, in just a moment, we're going to go to the ring and join a match in progress.
16:02It took place a few weeks ago.
16:04It's a six-man tag team event.
16:05Terry Taylor was joining forces with Brad Armstrong and Tim Horner.
16:10Now, the significance of this is I think we'll be able to see the change,
16:13a little bit of the change in Terry Taylor.
16:15Oh, yeah, you know, hindsight is 20-20.
16:17And everybody's been saying, well, when did this change in Terry Taylor start?
16:21How did it happen all of a sudden?
16:22But it didn't happen over a long period of time.
16:25And not even I could pick up what Terry Taylor was going through.
16:28If you watch this match, you'll start to see exactly what was going through Terry Taylor's mind
16:32as his change started to occur.
16:35Of course, Terry Taylor now is a member of the York Foundation.
16:39He is the, yeah, he is the member of the York Foundation.
16:41His fortunes are guided by Ms. Alexandra York.
16:44Let's go back in time, join this match in progress,
16:47and let's see if we can pick up the change in Terry Taylor.
16:51You know, Paul, I don't think we're going to be able to see this one match
16:55did not change Terry Taylor from being a fan favorite
16:58into someone that's not the most popular guy at WCW now.
17:02But I was looking at this tape before he went on the air.
17:04His facial expressions, his seemingly, he seemed like he was not real interested
17:10in some of the proceedings that were going on.
17:12He was interested when he was in the ring, but not so much when Horner and Armstrong were competing.
17:17No, the only thing he was interested in in this match was collecting the winner's share of the purse.
17:24He didn't care if his partners were in trouble.
17:26He didn't really care about his opponents.
17:27Wham!
17:28Beautiful slam right there by the big master blaster.
17:31The only thing Terry Taylor was interested in, the only reason why he wrestled in this match
17:36was because he wanted to get the winner's share of the purse.
17:41I know we're looking at Terry Taylor here, but I'm really impressed and have been,
17:45especially in recent weeks, the big master blaster's progress.
17:48The big rookie is really coming on.
17:51Now, Pat Rose, there's no slouch in there, working over Taylor.
17:53Taylor, right now, not thinking about, I don't think, a change in velocity,
17:58but basically trying to make the tag here.
18:00It's Pat Rose and his teammates going for that winner's share of the purse, as you alluded to.
18:07There's the elbow.
18:09Oh, most definitely.
18:10One of the things that Taylor obviously was thinking here in teaming with the Lightning Express
18:14was maybe these are the two guys that I should team up with
18:17and go for the World Six-Man Tag Team title.
18:19Now, tomorrow night, on the main event at 6.05 right here on TBS,
18:24the Junkyard Dog, Tommy Rich and Ricky Morton are going to go against Buddy Landell,
18:28Bobby Eaton, and guess who?
18:30Terry Taylor looking to get his hands on the World Six-Man Tag Team title.
18:35And we know that Terry Taylor is not enamored by a beautiful Bobby Eaton.
18:40There's a good neckbreaker there.
18:42You can't take away, discount any of Taylor's athletic abilities.
18:45No, not at all, but you have to give credit to his business savvy.
18:48I mean, he didn't care for Horner and Armstrong, but he teamed up with them
18:51because it was good business.
18:53He's teaming with Bobby Eaton tomorrow night, along with Buddy Landell,
18:56because even though he doesn't like Bobby Eaton, it's good business.
19:00Bobby Eaton is one of the greatest tag team wrestlers of all time.
19:04Nice dropkick there by Brad Armstrong.
19:06Rip Rogers comes in and interrupts the count.
19:10As Paul mentioned, that should be a great six-man event for the World Six-Man titles tomorrow night.
19:15J.Y.D., Tommy Rich, and Ricky Morton against a very unusual combination of Buddy Landell,
19:24Bobby Eaton, and Terry Taylor.
19:26I'm sure Miss Alexandra York will be out there.
19:30I don't know if we've got two there in this particular situation.
19:33A little chaotic here, Paul, at the end of this contest.
19:34I think Gordon Soley was the timekeeper for this match.
19:38You know, that ring of bell.
19:39Speaking of Gordon Soley fans, he'll be coming up next right here on TBS.
19:44This is the power.
19:44Here are your winners, Terry Taylor, Brad Armstrong, and High Lightning, Tim Horner!
19:49Welcome to the Wrestling News Network.
20:10If you watch the pay-per-view WrestleWar 91, you know now that Doom is no longer the holder of the World Tag Team Championship.
20:18The team of Ron Simmons and Hacksaw Butch Reed has been irrevocably broken.
20:24Recently, in a situation where Simmons was taking on Barry Windham,
20:31Hacksaw Butch Reed interfered, and here was the beginning of the breakup of this team.
20:36This match was scheduled to be a one-on-one contest between Ron Simmons of Doom and Barry Windham.
20:41As you can see, Windham has been lacerated in the contest.
20:44Teddy Long is handcuffed to the bottom ring rope.
20:46Butch Reed, Ric Flair, Arne Anderson, and Sid Vicious have all been barred from ringside.
20:53A very, very dynamic contest between these two.
20:58A big turning point was right there.
21:01Windham went for the lariat.
21:02Instead of hitting Simmons, he nailed senior referee Nick Patrick inadvertently.
21:07And now it will be Ron Simmons taking over on Barry Windham.
21:12Simmons, the awesome four-time football All-American from Florida State University.
21:16Went for it all here.
21:18But the veteran Barry Windham pulled down the top ring rope.
21:22Simmons fell to the floor on the outside of the ring.
21:26With a referee unable to detect this.
21:29Windham, using that briefcase, hitting Simmons in the back of the head.
21:34And now it will be the big man, at 6'6", 280 pounds, from Sweetwater, Texas, taking over on Ron Simmons.
21:41Running him face first into the steel security railing.
21:46Windham now, sensing that he has the match going his way.
21:49Tosses Simmons back into the ring.
21:51Both men have paid a very fiscal price in this contest.
22:00And now it's Windham.
22:01The Irish up to the middle of the rope.
22:03A power slam on Ron Simmons.
22:05You can see in the right part of the screen, the referee is still down.
22:10Teddy Long, handcuffed to the bottom ring rope, is unable to come to Ron Simmons' aid.
22:15With Hacksaw Butch Reed, and all of Barry Windham's associates, Blair, Anderson, and Vicious, barred from ringside.
22:23This truly is a one-on-one contest.
22:26And now it will be Barry Windham.
22:28The superplex, right off the second rope.
22:31Windham has Simmons pinned, it would seem.
22:34But look who comes down the aisle.
22:36It's Hacksaw Butch Reed.
22:37And Reed nails Barry Windham.
22:40An unsuspecting Barry Windham is knocked to the canvas by Reed, who has those cowboy boots on.
22:45With those leather soles stomping away at the face of Barry Windham.
22:49We're looking over the shoulder of a handcuffed Theodore Arlong.
22:53And now, both members of Doom attempting to double-team Barry Windham.
22:57Reed taking off his leather cowboy belt with that heavy belt buckle.
23:01He wraps the belt around his fist.
23:04And he goes to nail Windham.
23:05But watch this move right here.
23:07Windham, ducked out of the way.
23:09And Reed hit his own partner right in the face.
23:12Windham quickly on top of the lateral press.
23:15The referee rose on his side to make the count.
23:19Butch Reed has cost Ron Simmons this contest.
23:23Head of security, Doug Dillinger.
23:26Taking the handcuffs off Theodore Arlong.
23:29Long and Reed both came to the ring, verbally assaulting Ron Simmons.
23:34Calling him so many derogatory names.
23:38This footage having to be censored somewhat.
23:39Reed and Long turning to walk away.
23:43But Simmons has heard enough.
23:45A peanut head.
23:48Simmons now from behind.
23:50It's Hacksaw Butch Reed.
23:51Reed showing his true colors.
23:53Reed turning on his friend.
23:55Reed turning on the man that he won the World Tag Team Championship with.
23:59And Reed with those heavy cowboy boots stomping the head of Ron Simmons.
24:05These men obviously will never be friends.
24:08They will never be partners again.
24:09And it's Reed with a big right hand.
24:12To Ron Simmons.
24:13And then here comes the real humiliation.
24:15The real insult.
24:16S. Theodore Arlong.
24:18Lashes with a leather belt.
24:20Ron Simmons.
24:21Ron Simmons.
24:21And Hacksaw Butch Reed are indeed on a collision course.
24:25Doom is never more.
24:26A personal note, if you please.
24:28Ron Simmons is a man of rare integrity and courage.
24:32And he realized after what happened to him, along with Barry Windham and Hacksaw Butch Reed,
24:37that he still had a contractual obligation to fulfill in regards to the World Tag Team Championship.
24:43Well, that took place at Wrestle War 91, the third annual.
24:48And then, after they had lost the title, watch what happens with Teddy Long, Hacksaw Butch Reed, and Ron Simmons.
24:55Way to the Irish whip there.
24:57Oh, he blocked that.
24:58Oh, baby, he cleaned his block, but he did.
25:03Reed, that sharp stinging right hand.
25:07Just with that elbow.
25:10Sunset flip by Jimmy Jam Garvey.
25:12On two, and Reed freed himself.
25:16Or see, Freebirds have that one big deciding factor.
25:19That's a DDT.
25:20They can use it in tandem or individually, but that's the difference maker.
25:24I think we do forget sometimes watching a Freebirds because of all their glamour when they come out,
25:29their music, and all the people that are with them, and their entourage, and your will.
25:33They are truly great competitors.
25:35They have been champion before.
25:37Jimmy Garvin is a tremendous guy, and they're going to be hard to beat, I'm telling you.
25:42Tag made.
25:43Blind tag there.
25:45Reed not aware of it, I don't think.
25:48Garvin took his time coming in there.
25:50Oh, look at the strength.
25:52Oh, that's a left hand.
25:54Hayes caught him to left out of a military press.
25:59Yeah, Garvin trying to get the advantage.
26:02But it's Reed with a reversal.
26:04Oh, he's strong.
26:06He just muscled him up.
26:07That's all he did.
26:08He did just muscling him up.
26:09Garvin trying to fight out of it, but Reed just too strong.
26:12Took him right down the back record.
26:14We've talked about power wrestlers throughout this program,
26:17and guys that like to use high-impact moves.
26:20Well, I think Doom will put a chapter in that book.
26:22No-arm suplex.
26:24Again, working on the back.
26:25Reed on top.
26:26He's going for it.
26:27And Garvin kicked out.
26:28I don't see no signs here of Doom having any problem with their attitude tonight.
26:33I guarantee you that.
26:34And that's going to be a hard road to go for the Freebirds, if that's a true statement.
26:39Well, they were obligated to defend this match, this championship, in this match.
26:43And apparently, if there were any problems, which obviously there has been some,
26:48Theodore Long has been able to reconciliate those two gentlemen.
26:52Got it all worked out.
26:53Great teams come back together.
26:55Great teams do squabble.
26:57Great teams are champions.
26:59And these guys are champions.
27:05A's came in momentarily.
27:08And Garvin on the outside.
27:10And Garvin's at Reed's Mercy out here on the floor.
27:19Slammed him on the floor.
27:23Michael Hayes around.
27:27They can take it.
27:28Try to help his partner some.
27:31Yeah, Doom looks good.
27:33They're on top of the game.
27:34They've taken direction from Teddy Long very well here.
27:36You get the feeling that this one, with all four guys here, and Big Daddy Dink here, and Teddy Long here,
27:43this one could disintegrate at any time.
27:45Both teams are very volatile.
27:47Very explosive.
27:49That's powerful Ron Simmons.
27:51Former nose tackle.
27:55Played two orange bowls.
27:57Ramming Garvin's face right into that bit of Reed.
28:00And Reed comes in.
28:02He played outside linebacker for the Chiefs.
28:04He knows what it's all about.
28:06Whoa, there it is.
28:08There it is, Jimbo.
28:09But Garvin unable to pin it.
28:12Pace is dying to make the tag.
28:15Garvin caught Reed with that DDT.
28:18But Garvin unable to make the tag.
28:21Reed better make the tag here.
28:23And he does.
28:26Looking fresh man.
28:27Big Ron's in there now.
28:28Oh, good baby.
28:34What a spine buster.
28:35Whoa.
28:36And a kick to the head.
28:37Whoa.
28:37By Michael Hayes.
28:38My friend, he is out.
28:40I mean, this man is out.
28:42Then he folded Garvin up like an accordion.
28:45Whoa.
28:45Another power slam.
28:47Big Daddy Dink up on the apron.
28:49Reed is in there.
28:50Jimmy Garvin is out.
28:51Jimmy Garvin is out.
28:53He is out.
28:54Garvin is having a lot of trouble even coming to his knees.
28:58What's going on back here now?
29:00Look at this.
29:01Teddy Long threw something in there.
29:02Whoa.
29:03Brother.
29:05Reed has an international object, as they say.
29:08He nailed Simmons with it.
29:11He's getting there.
29:11Hey, Jimmy Garvin got pushed on him.
29:13Garvin doesn't even know what's going on.
29:16Reed hits Simmons inadvertently with that foreign object.
29:19Well, ladies and gentlemen, the winners and new WCW World Tag Team Champions,
29:28the fabulous Primo.
29:32Garvin is even aware that they've won the belt, three.
29:35Yes.
29:36They're having some discussion in here.
29:37Teddy Long right now.
29:39I'm coming home, baby.
29:41I'm coming home.
29:42Yeah, they're talking about it right here now.
29:44I don't know what's going on.
29:45Celebration time out there.
29:47We're having to fall down here.
29:48What a twist of fate that was.
29:49I mean, Teddy Long, he's got a situation going on here, brother.
29:54Well, I'll tell you something, Reed.
29:56Garvin doesn't.
29:57He's just barely coherent.
29:59But we've got some problems back here in the ring.
30:00Yeah, we've got some problems here.
30:02Teddy Long.
30:04Oh, Simmons has pushed Long down.
30:06And Reed.
30:08Reed has got that object.
30:09He's got some nuts on.
30:11He's got some nuts on his hand.
30:13Come on.
30:13Come on.
30:14Come on.
30:15Listen to Long say, come on, Butch.
30:16Come on.
30:18Reed with his nuts on that right hand is annihilating Ron Simmons.
30:24Brother, that's what we heard about.
30:25We knew it was coming.
30:26We didn't know.
30:27We thought they were back together.
30:28We thought everything was going to be copacetic, if you will.
30:30But he sure ain't here.
30:31We knew that they had had problems.
30:33They had been well documented.
30:34But Long swore that he had everything put back together.
30:38But Reed, with those brass nuts on his hand, is demolishing Ron Simmons.
30:43And look at Long.
30:44And look at Long.
30:45Oh, boy.
30:46What a...
30:46Reed just spit on his former partner.
30:49He spit on him.
30:50He spit on him.
30:50He spit on him.
30:51He spit on him.
30:52He spit on him.
30:53Brother, I'm going to tell you what.
30:54That's what happens.
30:56Well, there they...
30:56Let me tell you what's going on.
30:58Ron Simmons is the cause of me losing the World Tag Team Championship.
31:02And Ron Simmons, we're dealing pay.
31:05Assumptions are out the window at this point in time.
31:07The die is cast.
31:09And what's going to occur between Hacksaw Butch Reed and Ron Simmons
31:13is only a matter of two great forces colliding.
31:17We'll find out in the future.
31:29A member of the floor, Hirschman, weighs in a three-hound at 21 pass.
31:33He says he's from anywhere.
31:35He darn well pleases Big Sid Vicious.
31:41In the ring is the corner from Boise, Idaho.
31:44Sid Vicious.
31:46You know, Paul, in the Omni, here in Atlanta on Sunday, March the 10th,
31:51remember, fans, I mentioned that's an 8 o'clock start.
31:54With advanced tickets on Settled All Ticketmaster outlets,
31:56Sid Vicious will challenge Lex Luger for the United States Heavyweight Championship.
32:00And it looks like Luger's being attacked from all sides.
32:04And that should be quite a matchup in the Omni on Sunday, March the 10th.
32:07Oh, most definitely.
32:08I smell an upset right there because Luger right now is concentrating on Nikita Kolov.
32:13Luger has a big score to settle with Nikita Kolov tonight at 6.05 on World Championship Wrestling.
32:19I understand we're going to see just how intense Kolov has been training to take on the total package.
32:24And if Luger's going to sit there and keep his mind focused on Kolov, Sid's going to take the title away from him in the Omni.
32:30For you fans that may not know what Paul's talking about in regard to Nikita Kolov,
32:34if you missed our Wrestle War pay-per-view this past Sunday, he made quite an auspicious debut there.
32:40And we'll show you tonight on World Championship Wrestling a glimpse of what happened in the altercation between Nikita Kolov and Lex Luger from Phoenix.
32:50We'll have that tonight at 6.05.
32:51You know, I understand Sid has contacted the Guinness family of the Guinness World Records
32:56because this Tuesday night at the big national TV taping at the Cobb County Civic Center in Marietta, Georgia,
33:03Sid said he's going to send more wrestlers out on a stretcher in one night
33:06than any wrestler in the history of World Championship Wrestling.
33:10Well, he certainly has been doing that in very, very brutal style in the last several weeks.
33:16The big man, 6'9", well over 300 pounds, magnificent athlete.
33:25I don't agree with this philosophy, but that's irrelevant.
33:28The relevancy here is the fact that the man is a phenomenal athlete.
33:32He is a brute, and he just, he could beat this man from the tag, Clark, quite honestly at any time.
33:38Oh, sure, and he's the most intense competitor I've ever seen.
33:41I mean, look at him.
33:42He is drenched head to toe in sweat.
33:44He's not exerted any effort at all.
33:46It's just he's so intense, and here comes the powerbomb.
33:50Brian Pillman had better be watching this right now.
33:53I think Brian Pillman is very familiar with this maneuver,
33:57and Brian Pillman is not going to take what happened at WrestleMania lying down.
34:02Don't pun intended.
34:03Sid Vicious!
34:04Everybody!
34:06That's the measure that's so stupid.
34:08I'm Sid Vicious.
34:10That's Sid Vicious.
34:11I'm the world.
34:12Well, Flying Brian is going to come for Sid Vicious somewhere down the road.
34:16Look here, look at our doctors here.
34:18Ah, Dr. Winderman Anderson, two fine surgeons, if I do say so myself.
34:22And look at beating this guy up again.
34:24You know, I really don't understand the point of this.
34:27Oh, it's a new form of CTR to try to get his heart started.
34:30I think Sid ended it in the ring.
34:35That's a stethoscope, please.
34:37Hard word to say on TV.
34:38Oh!
34:43Vicious.
34:45I was, he was so impressive in the war game.
34:49And Brian Brian was not impressed.
34:51Martin Anderson checking his heart.
34:54He's a certified cardiologist.
34:56Did you know that?
34:57No.
34:58No, you didn't know that?
34:59Or no, it's not true?
35:00Dr. Windham!
35:02Both.
35:02I guess I'm a liar then.
35:04Yes, Jesus.
35:05Well, I tell you what, if this man was a liar, would anybody have enough guts to say it to his face?
35:10No way.
35:10The powerbomb by Sid Vicious.
35:12Pillman's looking for him.
35:14He's looking for Pillman.
35:19Paul, do you think there's any one athlete in sports that can withstand the onslaught of Sid Vicious?
35:24No, there's no way.
35:25I mean, you think about it.
35:26Mike Tyson or Evander Holyfield.
35:27They, I mean, yeah, they're great boxers, but how could they step in the ring against a guy that's 6'9", 330-some-odd pounds,
35:33take any wrestler from anywhere in the world today?
35:36There's nobody.
35:37Not a kickboxer.
35:38No.
35:39Wait a minute.
35:39Maybe there's...
35:40How about the guy 7'7", 450, Eligante?
35:44Be a heck of a match, but here's the thing.
35:46Eligante, now he wants the belt.
35:48Eligante comes out with that massive hand, and he puts the claw hold, and no matter who he gets it on,
35:53the guy goes down into the feet, or the guy leaves the ring a bloody mess.
35:57But Sid Vicious is invincible.
35:59He's invulnerable.
36:00He's indestructible.
36:01He's not a man.
36:01He's a monster.
36:02I personally think if Sid Vicious ever gets his hand on Eligante, the big Argentinian goes out on his back.
36:08Fans, we're going to go to the ring now and take a look at Sting and Lex Luger in tag team action.
36:13What a combination they should be.
36:15We're going to see them now.
36:16Let's go.
36:16Ladies and gentlemen, the following tag team event is set for one fall.
36:22Team number one, Wazel, the combined lineup of 532 pounds.
36:26First seed on his sixth heavyweight champion.
36:28He's the total package.
36:30Ted Sluga and his partner, it's Sid.
36:34What's this?
36:35It's Mark Mitzvah.
36:36It's Magnumstor.
36:40Sounds like old Pat Butt from Hooterville.
36:43I really think everybody should send Mr. Jim Hurd and Ted Turner thank you notes for hiring a reformed alcoholic to be our ring announcer.
36:51That's not true.
36:51Straight out of the Betty Ford Clinic, right into the rings of World Championship.
36:54You're lying.
36:55That's not true.
36:56All right, it wasn't the Betty Ford Clinic.
36:57He was.
36:58He's not an alcoholic.
37:01Ridiculous stories you tell.
37:03Somebody might believe that foolishness.
37:05It is the truth.
37:06It's not true, Paul.
37:07It is a pill.
37:08It isn't true.
37:09Now stop it.
37:11He's not an alcoholic.
37:13Hey, Tony Gillum, this butt's for you, pal.
37:18I tell you what's not a laughing matter is how many people are coming after the U.S. Heavyweight Championship.
37:23I mean, Luger's getting hit from all sides.
37:25Nikita Koloff is in the most intense program I have ever seen him in when it comes to working out.
37:31And on March 10th, he steps in the ring with Sid Fisherson.
37:34Sid told me personally, not only does Luger go off on a stretcher, but when he's being carried out on a stretcher,
37:39Sid's walking out the building with the U.S. title.
37:41Sid headlocked there by Lex Luger, taking over on Magno Forrest there.
37:46Big, strong individual.
37:47Luger, tremendous athlete.
37:51Sting and Lex Luger, of course, I'm sure their schedules would permit the very viable contenders for the fabulous Freebirds,
37:59the new World Tag Team Champions.
38:01And we'll see the Freebirds for the first time as the champions tonight right here on TBS with World Championship Wrestling.
38:08You know what I don't like about Sting?
38:10I mean, he's a great competitor and he's a former World Heavyweight Champion,
38:13but he's trying to serve two purposes in one right now here in World Championship Wrestling.
38:18And what's that, Paul?
38:20No, seriously.
38:21I mean, he's teaming with Luger to further his career, maybe now as a tag team wrestler, and that's very good.
38:26But tonight at 6.05, he teams with Eligante with only one thing in mind.
38:31He and Eligante want to get back at Flair and Windham and Vicious and Anderson and maybe even Larry Zabisco.
38:36And that's the thing.
38:37He's teaming with Eligante for revenge and he's teaming with Luger to further his career.
38:41He has to make up his mind and stay focused.
38:44Nice drop to hold by the Stinger.
38:45I think he's very focused.
38:47Arm drag takeover.
38:49Whether it be in his all-out hopes for regaining the WCW World Heavyweight Championship,
38:56which he'll have the opportunity inside a steel cage in the Omni on Sunday, March the 10th.
39:01Vance tickets to that big event are on sale right now at all Ticketmaster outlets.
39:07That includes selected Eckerd's and Turtles records and tapes as well.
39:11Interesting thing about that match, Paul, the Omni, as Luger tags in Sting,
39:17a very special referee has been assigned that contest.
39:20Yeah, and I'm very honored that they let me do that.
39:22You know, I will be the most impartial referee.
39:24Why are you lying again?
39:25You're lying about Tony Gillum's social habits.
39:28You mean I'm not going to be the referee of the Omni?
39:29Of course not.
39:30Well, who is?
39:31Who would let you referee anything?
39:33Mommy would.
39:34Yeah, well, Mommy's not the promoter.
39:36Wow!
39:37Stinger's Flash.
39:38El Eagante will be the referee in the Omni.
39:40We'll talk more about that a little bit later in the broadcast
39:44when we see him in action against Barry Windham here on the Power Hour.
39:48Sting with that Scorpion death lock.
39:50Rose Magnum fours over.
39:52Luger comes in.
39:54Allows no interference.
39:57Sting and Luger have won it here.
39:58On Sunday night, March 10th at 8 p.m., Sting gets one more chance at Nature Boy Ric Flair for the heavyweight championship of the world in a steel cage match.
40:09The guest referee, 7'7", 454 pound, El Eagante.
40:14How can Eagante be impartial against a man that has beaten him up repeatedly?
40:20Nature Boy Ric Flair.
40:21I think this is a pot against the Nature Boy.
40:24Sting might get the title back in the Omni.
40:26And we'll see Eagante and Barry Windham.
40:28They are next.
40:29Be there when Rolling Thunder Tour 91 stops in your town, fans.
40:48Monday, March 11th in Dothan.
40:49Pacific Center, 730.
40:51El Eagante, Scott Steiner, and Sting.

40:55Arne Anderson, Larry Zabisco, Ric Flair.

41:01The Junkyard Dog, Justin Rhodes, and Lex Luger.

41:33And tonight, in Waldorf, the Thomas Stone High School at 8.
41:37Scott Steiner, Dustin Rhodes, Z-Man.
41:39Yes, it's Rolling Thunder Tour 91.
41:44Fans, the following special contest is everyone fall.
41:47Introducing first, a member of the Four Horsemen.
41:50He weighs in at 280 pounds from Sweetwater, Texas.
41:55Barry Windham.
41:57Barry Windham making his way to the ring.
41:59This should be an outstanding contest.
42:00Jim Ross and Pauly Dangerously back with you here on TBS.
42:03Don't forget to join us tonight.
42:056.05, two big hours.
42:07I'll be joined by Pauly and Missy Hyatt both tonight.
42:10His appearance from Argentina.
42:10He's got 7 feet 7 inches.
42:13Weighs in at 450 pounds.
42:15The largest athlete in the world.
42:17El Agente.
42:20Well, you might be Mr. Rogers, but this big Argentinian is definitely in the wrong neighborhood today
42:26because he's stepping in the ring with the one man that Rick Flair has said,
42:30hey, get this big jerk off my back.
42:33And Barry Windham is the man to eliminate El Agente.
42:36Well, no pun intended, Paul, but that is a very tall order.
42:42Yeah, it's a very...
42:43Can you imagine?
42:44Windham is 6 feet 6.
42:46He looks like a small man compared to the 7'7", 450-pound El Agente.
42:53And there is your brave WCW World Heavyweight Champion.
42:57Yeah, Windham 6'6", and El Agente 7'7", which makes El Agente 13 inches taller than Barry Windham.
43:05But 13 is going to be an unlucky number for El Agente this morning.
43:09Flair came down, I guess, just to distract El Agente momentarily.
43:15El Agente with a claw.
43:16He got the claw already.
43:17He's holding Windham by one arm like a small child.
43:20The claw in the other hand.
43:22That tremendous claw hole.
43:25We saw him bust open Ric Flair in the Omni.
43:28Here comes the nature boy.
43:30Save him, Flair.
43:32Ric Flair is going to be...
43:33El Agente will win this by disqualification.
43:37Barry Windham has been lacerated,
43:39and Flair's chops are ineffective against this giant.
43:44Somebody needs to get El Agente off Windham right now.
43:46He's going to do permanent damage to him.
43:49Flair trying to rake his eyes.
43:50The giant, look at that big hand, pops it off the head of Barry Windham.
43:56Flair rolls out of the ring.
44:01In the Omni, on Sunday, March the 10th, El Agente will be the special referee
44:07when Sting challenges Ric Flair for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship.
44:13And you're telling me he can be impartial?
44:15Look, they're standing in the ring together.
44:18I'm not telling you he can't be impartial.
44:20So, I'm telling you, I think Flair's in trouble.
44:24Ric Flair must be very careful.
44:26El Agente, the biggest athlete in the world,
44:28certainly wants the World's Heavyweight Championship.
44:31That rematch for the title has been signed.
44:33It should be a tremendous confrontation.
44:35Now, don't forget, tonight, 6.05 World Championship Wrestling.
44:38We'll tell you more about that in a few moments.
44:40But, Paul, what's up tomorrow on the Danger Zone?
