00:00No, he's not batting at seven. He's been batting at four. There's been a few games where he's, you know, chopped and changed because of the batting left and right combination. So, no, it hasn't been affecting him.
00:15How do you look forward to tomorrow's game and are you a bit worried about the weather?
00:21Yeah, really looking forward to it. We've got four games left and we need to pretty much win every game now for the playoffs. So, kind of really looking forward to it, especially playing here in Dharamshala.
00:36It's a beautiful venue. There's a bit of rain around, so hopefully we get a full game. It's always good to play. It's a beautiful ground.
00:46And it's the business and the tournament. So, how difficult, how tough do you expect the few remaining matches from here, not just for you, but from the competition's point of view?
00:57Yeah, it is business end. I think we've got three games out of the four that are teams above us and then Sunrise is one of the others.
01:08So, yeah, I mean, big games. I think, like, obviously we all know playing in the playoffs and wanting to reach the playoffs, you know, you've got to beat the guys on top of the table.
01:19So, something that we've spoken about and we've had a couple days rest now. What's it been? Five, six days. So, regrouped really nicely, refreshed as well and ready to go for the last four games.
01:33And, like you said, it's pretty big games. Well aware of that and really excited. It's a good challenge for us. And, you know, we've been, you know, okay through the season.
01:45We've played some really good cricket and then some, you know, slipped up in a few games and that does happen in the IPL.
01:51But I think it's time to kind of switch on at the back end of the tournament. So, looking forward to it.
01:58And what are your thoughts on your rivals tomorrow and the way they've played so far in this tournament?
02:05Yeah, really good team. A nicely balanced team. Punjab have played really good cricket and, you know, a lot of individuals have stood up and done really well throughout the competition.
02:17Sorry. And, yeah, so it's going to be a good challenging game and well aware of that. And I think, you know, the cliche is that if we play really good cricket and we know what we're capable of, you know, I'm sure we will come out on top.
02:33But it's about making sure that we get back to where we were, winning ways and doing the basics really, really well from the start.
02:42And did you have a look at the wickets so far?
02:45I have and it normally is quite a good wicket, yeah. So, yeah, I think, you know, with the weather around, I mean, it's probably going to be, there might be a little bit of swing, a little bit of nibble on the surface.
02:59So, it's about assessing those conditions really well from the start. The first six overs, whether we bat or bowl first, is going to kind of determine what kind of, how we're going to go about it.
03:11And it's about assessing that as quick as possible. But it's normally a good wicket, yeah.
03:16Any thoughts on the return of Maink that year away?
03:19Very exciting. He's an incredibly talented young man and got a lot of cricket ahead of him which is exciting. I'm looking forward to watching his career.
03:31Good to have someone like that in the attack with some extra pace. You know, he's been out for a while so eager to get back and put in some big performances for himself and the team.
03:44So, hopefully he can pick up a nice far for tomorrow.
03:48And you must be happy with the way the bowlers have done. You've got a varied attack and they've been doing well. So, how important do you think in conditions like this, your opponents?
03:56Yeah, we've actually managed to pick up some games with the ball. We've kind of won one or two games with the ball, you know, in close games and it's been, you know, really good to see.
04:09You know, Ratti has been incredible, kind of led us, led the attack from the bowling department. And the guys, kind of, you know, Vesh Khan has done really well.
04:21Now we've got Mayank, so, yeah, Shadul started really well and, you know, he's got the experience as well. So, you know, if we put all that together, I have no doubt that we're going to restrict them to a good score.
04:34And one question on a player who is not going to be featured in this match. Did you watch a bit of Suryawal Chasennings, that 100?
04:41I did. The last, I think, 20 runs that he scored, I saw it and, yeah, he's a really fine talent. And that's the beauty of the IPL. You know, you get to see a lot of depth in India, in Indian cricket.
04:57Some incredible players coming through. So, yeah, it's another one to tick off that, you know, he's one for the future.
05:06And I think, as we all know, it's about maintaining that, moving forward and, you know, keep winning games for whatever team he plays for.
05:14So, he's done really well and it was a fine innings.
05:19It's a big mid-table clash tomorrow. So, can we expect some changes in the team and what will be moving strategy?
05:28I wish I was part of the selection. So, to answer your question, I can't. I don't know if there's going to be changes or not.
05:37So, I'm so sorry to dampen your spirits there with that. But I don't know what the team's going to be.
05:43You know, we've got the thinking tank. There's a lot of experience in the group, you know, up top with the management.
05:50You know, Zahi Khan, the mentor. And, yeah, so whatever they're kind of going with, I think it's important now, moving forward,
06:00to kind of try and get something pretty stable for the next four games and give ourselves the best chance to qualify.
06:08So, yeah, I'm not too sure about the selection.
06:13The opportunity for?
06:20The opportunity for?
06:25Yeah, I mean, like I said, I think that's the beauty of these leagues around the world.
06:30But specifically, IPL, you see a lot of incredibly young, talented players that come through.
06:35So, it's a good opportunity. I mean, Indian cricket at the moment is really, really strong or has been for a while.
06:42So, for those guys to get into the national team takes a little bit longer.
06:48But this is definitely, you know, the pinnacle of platforms for the youngsters to do well and to put up their hands for the national team.
06:58So, yeah, I mean, like I said, it's really nice to see every year, every two, three years comes around and there's some seriously young, talented players.
07:10And it's always good to see taking the game forward with the battle ball.
07:15So, yeah, I really enjoy the dynamic of the IPL that it brings out the best of those, the depth in Indian cricket.
07:25So, yeah, I get a lot of cricket.
07:28I think a lot of cricket.
07:30I think a lot of cricket.
07:32It's really good, I think, looking back to cricket.
07:34I like to connect to cricket.
07:35I mean the cricket.
07:37It's a very, very good cricket.
07:39So, I think that's the one.
07:41It's a bit of cricket.
07:44But I think I'll get into cricket.
