00:00David, how frustrating is it to have been in such a commanding position and to have relinquished that lead?
00:10We're disappointed. We never shook it and switched it off really.
00:14There were always there or thereabouts. We just couldn't quite get enough.
00:19I thought we'd done a lot of good things. We've tried some different things today as well to see how players play in different roles.
00:26I thought we'd done really well in the opening part of the game for 30 minutes or so.
00:30I thought we played really well. We got the goals eventually but I think the goals just before half-time for them just rocked us a little bit.
00:38Always gave us something to keep going at and we couldn't quite get the third goal to get ourselves clear.
00:45You said you tried a few new things today. Did you feel like you learnt anything about this group of players or any players in particular?
00:51Well, it sort of thinks that a lot of sports have been asking about if they play as a 10 and want to see more of Charlie Alcaraz.
00:57So we've given them another good opportunity to show what they can do.
01:01Getting Dwight back. First time we've had Dwight since I've been at the club.
01:04I thought he scored a good goal. Still lacked a bit of intensity in his play in the first half.
01:09I actually thought he got better in the second half.
01:11putting three or four brilliant crosses for us in the second half.
01:15Which probably, if we got there on the end of one of them, it might have just seen us over the line really.
01:21So, the game was always tight.
01:23But, you know, we should have been done a bit better.
01:27We've had that a couple of times now. We've been two up and not seen it out.
01:30What do you put that down to? Is it a lack of quality or is it mentality?
01:34No, I think I've just answered it really easily.
01:37You know, I think if we all knew the answer, we would make sure it doesn't happen again.
01:40You know, I think there's a bit of understanding how to see the game through.
01:44I thought we made a couple of terrible decisions, a couple of players on the pitch for the second goal
01:49regarding runs and tackles and whatnot when neither were needed.
01:54And we sort of left ourselves a bit exposed.
01:57And what was your message to the players at the end?
02:00Probably a bit of the same. I'm disappointed we didn't win.
02:03But I think there's a lot of positives from where we've been and how we're playing and what we're doing.
02:09Trying to make the chances.
02:11We didn't have enough shots in the second half.
02:13But I thought we had, I thought we'd need enough control most of the game up until the last five minutes.
02:19And even after only the last sort of five or ten minutes when they got a couple of corners and long throws at that point,
02:24whatever time that was.
02:26I thought in the meantime we controlled the game and we, you know, they scored near enough.
02:30I wouldn't stay on the break but certainly on a bit lighter.
02:35Dave?
02:36Just on Beto, because he just seemed to get better for you. That was a lovely header.
02:43It was a great header. And actually it was something which, you know, I think the other thing is a great delivery from Charlie as well, which I've been talking a lot about getting better assists and better finishes.
02:53Well, that was a good one. You know, we had one or two other moments where maybe we could have done a little bit better.
02:58I thought the first half were crossing and the box wasn't as good as it should have been. I thought the second half it got better.
03:04But overall, Beto's done great. Gets himself another goal today. So he's been doing really well, Beto.
03:13What plays with him?
03:14He's joined top scorer now with Ndi on nine, which isn't bad because it's been often where he's got six under yourself really.
03:21Yeah. Well, look, I think if you, if you used it on Beto, maybe you walked out probably what it would be like if he'd played a lot more in the games.
03:27You might be saying, hey, this could be somebody who's got 14, 15 goals maybe.
03:31So we hadn't scored for a couple of games there with draws and we didn't get any goals. So, eh, but I think today he got a goal and, you know, maybe he could have had another one as well.
03:47Any further questions, guys?
03:51All good. That's it. Better get home, lads and ladies.
03:56Just before we go.
