00:00Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskyy has dismissed Russia's proposal for a three-day cease-fire during Victory Day as theatrical, pushing for a one-month truce instead.
00:10The UN General Secretary has condemned recent Israeli strikes in Syria, calling them a, quote, violation of sovereignty.

00:27Putin had proposed a cease-fire from the 7th to the 9th of May to coincide with Moscow's annual Victory Day parade, which foreign representatives have been invited to attend.
00:39Zelenskyy instead suggested a month-long truce, saying that reaching an agreement in just three days would be impossible.
00:47He also told reporters on Saturday that Ukraine cannot guarantee the safety of those attending the parade in Moscow.
00:53Separately, at least 47 people were wounded in Kharkiv after Russian airstrikes hit Ukraine late on Friday, according to local officials.
