00:00Now, the difference of being an automatic promotion contender to actually winning the championship title is actually quite a massive boost for confidence.
00:10If you go into the Premier League, you know, we've seen over recent seasons how tough it is to actually remain for those promoted teams.
00:16But if you go as the championship winners, you know, the champions of a division, it does give you that bit more of a boost.
00:23Now, Daniel Farker's side have been so, so good throughout the season.
00:28And yes, his future may be slightly hanging in the balance.
00:33But in terms of, you know, putting that on your TV as a winner, they have scored so many goals this season.
00:39They've been so decisive in big games and big moments as well.
00:43Leeds United have been fantastic.
00:46Yes, we've seen them drop off in the last couple of seasons, but it seems like those burdens are sort of behind them now.
00:51And they are going to go on to really make a difference.
00:54Now, the main question does pose, what is the actual difference between automatic promotion second and actually being the champions, actually winning that trophy?
01:03But it's silverware to remember this incredible season by.
01:06It is quite a big gap in terms of your confidence and momentum.
01:09As I say, we're going to go and speak to Dan Wales, who's got a bit more insight into Leeds United and their hopes for obviously winning that trophy.
01:19Dan, what are the main differences and how will Leeds United feel in contrast if they are to finish second or first?
01:26Obviously, it's been an incredible season, but a trophy would certainly be nice.
01:30I honestly think there won't be a huge amount of difference in terms of how Leeds feel finishing first or second, because, of course, the main goal for their season this year was promotion at all costs.
01:42The heartbreak they'd suffered in the playoffs last year was something they just did not want to go through at all.
01:45They had to get in those automatics, whether that be first or second.
01:49And they've done that.
01:50And so that's the main goal achieved.
01:52Obviously, though, they would like to cap it with some silverware, because they are having a bus parade through the city centre following the conclusion of the season.
02:01And it would be nice to have the championship trophy to show off for that parade.
02:05So that's probably the main reason.
02:07Of course, it would be the icing on the cake.
02:10But it's not the end of the world if they don't.
02:12It would perhaps tinge the season with a little bit of regret, because they've probably had missed opportunities where they could have made wrapping up the league title even more easy for themselves, which they haven't taken.
02:22But they are in pole position going into the final day.
02:25They are ahead of Burnley on goal difference.
02:27So they know they just need to match whatever Burnley do, and they will be crowned champions of the championship.
02:32Of course, they did that the last time they went up from the championship.
02:35But that was with no crowd there as well.
02:38And then Marcelo Bielsa, yes, some people gathered outside after that.
02:41But it wasn't quite the same.
02:42It wasn't in the stadium, of course, as well.
02:44So I think, if anything, that might be an added reason as to why they might want to do this as well and win the championship title.
02:50Because, of course, they'll have the fans there to celebrate in the stadium.
02:54They've had a few parties already outside Ellen Road for promotion.
02:58But now they want the icing on the cake.
03:00As I said before, it's probably not the end of the world if they don't.
03:03But it would just add to the whole spectacle of what has been a great season for Leeds United under Daniel Farker.
03:09Certainly, despite some missed opportunities, they couldn't have asked for much more in terms of securing and achieving their goals.
03:14In terms of getting back up to the Premier League, where this club certainly thinks that it belongs.
03:19So, that's the main point of view, I think, from Leeds fans.
03:23Yes, it will be nice.
03:24And it will add a lot to that celebration with the bus parade.
03:27And, of course, it will make up for not having those celebrations last time when they got up from the championship into the Premier League by winning the championship trophy.
03:34But, from the main point of view, in terms of what they wanted to achieve in this season, that has already been accomplished.
03:41In terms of just getting into those automatic promotion places, that's done.
03:45Their opponents on the day are Plymouth Argyle away from home.
03:48Now, Plymouth probably are down, let's be honest.
03:52It would take a huge goal difference swing for them to get anywhere near staying up.
03:56So, all things considered, Plymouth are down.
03:59So, they're mostly playing for pride, at least.
04:02And, having said that, though it won't be easy, Plymouth have had some good results this season, despite going down.
04:06You can't, obviously, they've not had too many.
04:07But, for the most part, they've done okay.
04:09And, certainly, in the last few weeks, when they've tried to get close to survival, they've had some okay moments.
04:15So, they won't make it easy for Leeds, obviously, because they might think that anything could happen.
04:19It's unlikely, as I say.
04:20But, anything could happen.
04:21But, it is unlikely.
04:23But, Leeds just need to go there, put the thoughts of celebration behind them for one moment.
04:29And, just do the job.
04:31As I say, though, they won't have it to celebrate at Elland Road.
04:34But, certainly, there will be away fans there to celebrate if they win the Championship Trophy.
04:38It's theirs for the taking.
04:40Now, they just have to go and do it on the pitch at Plymouth Argyle.
04:43So, let's go.
04:44So, let's take a look.
04:44Okay.
04:44Well, let's go.
04:45Okay.
04:45So, let's go.
04:45Let's go.
