00:00Today we are in the baby snake room of the East Bay Vivarium, showing off our California kingsnake with two heads.
00:09So, this guy has just reached his six-month birthday, and we're extremely hopeful for his survival,
00:18because at this notch here, that's where the two heads connect, we believe all the internal organs are past that notch.
00:25So, the two heads share one stomach, one heart, all that fun stuff.
00:30We have only been able to get the larger head to eat, that's the one here at the top.
00:36However, we don't even believe that the smaller head's esophagus is even connected to the stomach, therefore prompting no feeding response.
00:44But, we have noticed that the smaller head is much more in control of the body than the bigger head is,
00:50and seems to be a lot more aware of its surroundings than the counterpart.
