00:00So, Beth, can you tell me how you're feeling ahead of this year's Ironman in Port Macquarie?
00:06Super excited. Athletes are starting to arrive in town. There's definitely a real buzz and the vibe's starting to build.
00:12So, super excited and looking forward to Sunday.
00:14And do you have the numbers in terms of how many competitors are going to participate?
00:19Yeah, across both distances we'll have roughly 2,700 athletes out on course.
00:24And obviously all of them bring sort of 2 point something people with them.
00:27So, lots of people in town and which is great for sort of all the local businesses.
00:32And any advice for competitors that might be doing this for their first time and maybe feeling a bit nervous?
00:38Yeah, look, if it is a first time race for people, just go out there, enjoy it, take it easy, don't try and set any PBs.
00:45Just enjoy the race and make sure you finish.
00:47Beautiful. And any sort of advice in terms of how, I guess, you can celebrate after?
00:53I mean, yeah, do you always encourage first-timers to ring the bell as well?
00:57Yeah, that's right. So, there is a bell at the top of the finish chute for our first-timers to ring.
01:01We encourage them to ring it loud, ring it proud.
01:04And then obviously Pete Murray will be here on the finish line calling everyone an Ironman as they cross.
