00:00Feel the Magic is a place for grieving kids to come and learn healthy grieving
00:05strategies. It's a place for them to connect and be able to understand what
00:10they're going through. One in 20 kids here in Aus will lose a parent or a
00:14sibling before the age of 18 so it's a lot of kids we need to you know have
00:20some kind of intervention with. The CommBank Community Grant is going to help
00:25all these children in Australia access the support that they need and through
00:30this grant they can come and connect with each other and learn the strategies
00:34they need to to heal and grow. It made me feel better and like not stress as much
00:39as I used to. I'd probably say like it's okay you might be nervous at first but
00:45then you can meet all these nice kids who's had the same thing as you. Surprise
00:50moment today was just that. It was quite overwhelming to be honest but I'm so
00:56grateful to be able to have shared that with our volunteers and our team. We're
01:02going to touch so many more lives across Australia and I mean we were so
01:06incredibly grateful for 20 so you know 120 is just next level. The Community Grant
01:12Program makes me feel really proud to work at CBA. I've been here a long time and
01:16just to know that we touch people within the community the fact that the staff
01:21donate the money from their pay each fortnight and then the bank matches it
01:24just makes you feel really proud and empowered and nominating a charity that
01:30actually means something very personal to me. Having the increased funding is
01:34just phenomenal because now it means we can have more camps and more kids get to
01:38experience the love and support and the connection. Eden spent a lot of time
01:42before camp asking people around close to her trying to find someone who was like
01:47her. She would be looking for someone who had lost a mother or a father so she
01:51could find someone to connect with and coming back from camp she realized she
01:55wasn't alone she had the connections there and all she does is long for the
01:58next camp when she can go and spend time with these people who are just like her.
02:02Before I went to camp I didn't know grief was a feeling and then at camp I learnt that grief was a feeling.
02:10Camp Magic is really fun and all the mentors will help you along the way.
