00:00In the city of Sao Paulo, in Brazil, Workers' Day is being celebrated with a demonstration

00:04promoted by the unions as is traditioning on May 1st, with special emphasis on the

00:10reduction of the Working Day 641 without salary reduction. Activities will be held

00:17on the Paulista Avenue and in Sao Bernardo do Campo. In addition to income tax

00:23exemption, workers are demanding wage equality between men and women and a

00:27dignified retirement together with public policies that guarantee greater

00:30access to health and job security.

00:38Meanwhile, in Greece, citizens also mobilized to defend the struggles of the

00:42sector. They marched in several cities of the country to accompany and join the

00:45call of the trade union organizations and workers centers. Workers continue to

00:49demand, among other things, public policies that guarantee better working

00:53conditions in the face of the real estate crisis.

01:00Meanwhile, in France, the police repressed protesters mobilizing for International

01:05Workers' Day in Paris. Thousands were attending the rallies and demonstrations

01:09demanding from the Macron government stronger protections for workers, higher

01:13wages and greater equality. The main workers unions in France also marched on

01:17rejection of the advances of the far right and to criticize Trump's measures.

01:22Labor Day demonstrations happened against a backdrop of political instability in the

01:26country, where a parliamentary vote ousted the previous government in December,

01:31leaving the nation without a functioning government for weeks.
