00:16Good morning team, good morning.
00:17Good morning everybody, ang dami nila.
00:20Ang dami, at ang mime-medan sila. Of course, congratulations.
00:23Congratulations.
00:24To start off, Coach Phillip, babato ko sa iyo yung first question.
00:28And for those viewers sa atin who's unfamiliar with Waterpolo, can you share a light? What is Waterpolo?
00:35Waterpolo, you're playing in the water with the ball.
00:40Very simple, just to try to score and in the defense trying to protect our goal.
00:46Six players plus one goalie.
00:50Alright, ito pala yung Waterpolo Teenage Play.
00:51Parang siyang bola, binabato, parang may goal.
00:54Pero na sa water.
00:54Pero na sa water sila.
00:55Let me ask naman yung mga players, of course, let's start with team captain, Miel.
01:07How's the experience playing there against, of course, the best Southeast Asian Waterpolo teams?
01:21Since it's our third competition po and first competition with Coach Phillip.
01:25Marami po kaming natutunan along the way po.
01:33Pero before coming to the competition, we were already aiming po for a podium finish po.
01:37Ayan, ikaw naman, how about Matthew, how was the experience playing in Malaysia in winning a bronze medal?
01:44I think Malaysia was a very fun experience.
01:48It showed us where we are currently at as a team.
01:52It shows us our biggest weaknesses and strengths.
01:55So, Malaysia competition was very exciting.
01:58Winning bronze was just an amazing feeling after all.
02:01And now let's proceed to Caleb.
02:03How was the experience playing sa Malaysia?
02:05First of all, I'm very proud po that we were able to represent our country, Philippines.
02:11And especially po na we were able to clinch a bronze medal despite little, despite the time of preparation.
02:22Parang konti lang po yung training namin.
02:24Pero we were able to, nakapagsabay po kami sa other teams po na ilang years na pong nag-training.
02:32And lastly, of course, let's not forget Kenzie.
02:51Coach Phillip, I just really want to ask.
02:53You've been their mentor.
02:55Pretty new mentor for the team.
02:58What were the trading strategies or program that you implemented for the team?
03:02At first, my focus is on the individual skills to improve that.
03:08For this competition, we just focus on that.
03:11No more, no a lot of swimming, no a lot of, but just individual and team tactics.
03:18And we go competition, do our best, and we've been the bronze medal.
03:23Coach Phillip, how big is this bronze medal finish of this team?
03:28Since we're still rebuilding our Philippine Waterfalo team, so how big of a motivation it is
03:33that even with, of course, your six months under your coaching,
03:37we've already won a bronze medal in a Malaysian Invitational Championship?
03:41I, we just work to, I never go to, to be honest, to take the medal, but we, I talk to the, my players, they always go out, do our best.
03:55What happened on the end, we're doing step by step every game by game.
04:00On the end, it's happened that we bring the bronze medal.
04:04Mm-hmm.
04:12Can you share your experience?
04:14Did you expect to get the MVP award?
04:16To be honest po, hindi rin po since we work as a team po kasi and for me po, hindi ko naman po makukuha yung MVP award if not for my team po since hindi naman po ako makakashoot ng goals if hindi nalang papasa sa akin yung bola and itutrust yung bola na yun tos, ano, ako yung shoot-shoot and hindi lang din naman po ako yung nag-iisang MVP which is kaming tatlo po actually.
04:42Yes, actually tatlo po silang naging best player during that tournament and then kaya yung medal nila may bronze and of course may gold, yan tatlo sila.
04:53I just wanna ask of course yung players since ngayon nag-alaro kayo for under 21 pero may plans ba kayo of course to try out dahil ang pinaka main goal naman is to join our senior national team and of course compete sa mga bigger competitions especially waterfowl is an Olympic sport, one of the oldest Olympic sport.
05:09So, are you planning kung baga to pursue pa yung senior's team for waterfowl and mag-compete pa sa mga bigger competition?
05:17Yes po, we are also planning to join po the senior's team po. Someday sana makalaro rin po kami sa SEA Games, sa mga Asian Games po, sa much more bigger competitions po.
05:29Porter, maisigit ko lang. In fairness with our men's waterfowl team, we've been bagging medals sa SEA Games.
05:36Kung baga, this is one of the sport na talagang nag-coculate or nag-re-register sa medal sport tayo with when it comes to waterfowl.
05:47And I'm sure itong junior team natin is very promising.
05:50Bright future for our waterfowl.
05:52So, just panag-usapan natin at teammate Nego.
05:56Just wanna ask, Coach Phillip, maybe what's next for our under 21 team, for our men's team,
06:02any upcoming competitions, and what are your plans, your future plans for this team,
06:07especially a lot of big competitions are coming up?
06:10For this team, next one is already in the six weeks.
06:14We need a trial to Singapore for a CH.
06:17Following it, open Hong Kong competition.
06:20After the next month, after that, open Malaysia.
06:23We're looking for a camp, maybe to go to the Serbia to prepare even better for a CH, a SEA Games.
06:30And on the SEA Games, again, we're going to do our best to represent Philippines to bring the medal back.
06:38May dagdag ko lang, since we're talking about SEA Games,
06:41Sa inyo ba, sa group ninyo, mayroon ang possible na pwedeng makasama sa ating seniors for the upcoming Southeast Asian Games?
06:52Parang ayaw atag.
06:53Pwede po pwede gusto nila mag-ifart ng SEA Games.
06:55Si Caleb.
06:56Caleb ba? Pwede.
06:58I guess so po, since we are going to have a tryout po this June after our CH,
07:04so I think that may mga pipiliin po to qualify po for the SEA Games National Team.
07:11Ito, teammate Peg, last na lang siguro for Coach Phillip.
07:15Coach Phillip, you've mentioned that there will be a try-out for our water quality team.
07:19Is there any more details regarding that? Please announce it to our teammates.
07:23For our trials, it's this May 24, exactly, and everybody is open.
07:31They can come to try.
07:33On the end, we're going to decide to prepare the best team we can do for our SEA Games.
07:39Alright, again, ito, nakasama natin ulit, teammates sa ating Philippine Men's Under-21 Waterfall Team.
07:46And of course, congratulations for bagging the bronze medal dito sa Malaysia Invitational Championship.
07:50And hoping for the best sa inyong mga upcoming endeavors for this year and of course for the upcoming years.
