00:00This is my first Brigade to Cuba, and when we were organizing it, they asked for us to paint a mural in the 50th anniversary of Operation Gargota, and I was truly honored, I was one of the first people to volunteer for it, truly honored to be able to do it.
00:21What this means is an international solidarity between Africa and Cuba, to show the Cubanness, the solidarity in between Cuba and Africa, and the resilience of the people together, to show that we've done it before, we can do it again, we can stand up against our oppressors, we can stand up for what we believe in, and truly create a free Cuba, and a free Angola, and this is an international solidarity, it means it's truly humbling to be a part of something like
00:51this, it was a little bit emotional, even making the design, and painting it, like you get a little bit teared up, because folks when they come in here, they're going to see it as soon as they walk in, into the camp, and they'll forever know that Cuba and Africa are intertwined forever, and they always will be, and they'll always stand together.
