00:00Hello and welcome to What's On in Wigan. The annual cheese festival at Wigan Central will take place from Friday May 9th until Sunday May 11th.
00:11There will be 20 cheeses, continental meats and an artisan deli section. There is free entry and it takes place each day from 12pm.
00:19The VE Day 80th Anniversary Festival is taking place on Maines Park on May 10th. There will be music and entertainment including performances from the combined bands of the Lancashire Artillery and Duke of Lancaster Regiments and there will also be a display of military vehicles, an artisan market, fun fair and refreshments. It takes place from 11am until 4pm.
00:42The annual party in the park is on May 10th at Diggle Street Park in Springfield. Bring a picnic and come and join in the fun where there will be toys and games and a bouncy castle. This free event starts at 12pm.
00:55And finally, Mindful Events is hosting a wild foraging and afternoon tea event. There will be a nature walk and foraging for dandelions, washing prepared salad, gently guided mindfulness meditation and mindful eating with your delicious afternoon tea.
01:09A £5 deposit is required to secure your place. It takes place at Crook Methodist Church on May 11th from 2pm to 4pm.
