00:00Mr. President, it's been a hundred days of the new Trump administration, and President
00:05Trump is delivering rundown elements of the Republican agenda, securing our border, restoring
00:11American strength, extending tax relief to hardworking Americans, unleashing American
00:17energy, saving taxpayer dollars, and restoring common sense after an administration obsessed
00:25with imposing far-left woke ideology, and President Trump has made progress on them all.
00:34After four years of increasing energy instability under the Biden administration, on day one,
00:39President Trump declared a national emergency on energy and started moving to unleash American
00:45energy production.
00:46He exented President Biden's electric vehicle mandate, which was guaranteed to place vast
00:51new burdens on our already shaky electric grid, opened up oil and gas production, rescinded
01:00burdensome energy regulations, and a whole lot more.
01:05His administration has restored common sense to Washington after the Biden administration's
01:09attempt to impose far-left woke ideologies on the American people.
01:13Notably, President Trump issued an executive order to prevent biological males from hijacking
01:19sports for women and girls.
01:22And of course, the President has been working closely with the House and Senate on legislation
01:25to permanently extend the tax relief he signed into law during his first administration.
01:31Tax relief that put more money in hardworking Americans' pockets.
01:36We took a big step forward in that process with Congressional passage of a budget resolution
01:40in April, and we are moving toward a final bill.
01:44A bill that will not only make tax relief permanent, but will also deliver on other President Trump
01:50and Republican priorities.
01:53That includes investing in our military and restoring our national defense, securing our
01:58border, and reforming the way that we spend taxpayer dollars.
02:03And speaking of the border, Mr. President, at the top of any list of President Trump's accomplishments
02:10is the incredible progress the President has made when it comes to securing our border.
02:16And I don't need to tell anyone what things were like at our southern border during the
02:19last administration.
02:21It flat out was chaos.
02:25President Biden presided over four years of record-breaking illegal immigration at our
02:29southern border with all the dangers that represents.
02:33President Trump promised that he would put an end to the Biden border crisis and restore
02:36order and respect for the rule of law.
02:39And in just 100 days, 100 days, Mr. President, he is delivered to an incredible degree.
02:46U.S. Customs and Border Protection reported just 11,709 encounters at our southern border
02:53in February, and just 11,017 in March.
02:59Nothing short of a dizzying drop.
03:02Now, to put those February and March numbers into perspective, during February 2024, in March
03:08of the Biden administration, encounters at our southern border are numbered 189,913 in February,
03:18and 189,359 in March.
03:26Think about that.
03:28189,000 down to 11,000 in a year.
03:35What a difference, Mr. President, leadership makes.
03:38A 94% decrease in illegal crossings at our southern border.
03:45That is an incredible achievement, Mr. President.
03:48And America is safer because of it.
03:51And I have to say, it's a reminder that had President Biden actually cared about border
03:55security, he could have secured the border at any time during his administration.
04:00President Trump has managed to do it in mere weeks.
04:03I should also note that not only has President Trump drastically reduced attempted illegal
04:08entries, but he has also focused on rounding up dangerous illegal aliens who are resident
04:14in our country.
04:16Gang members.
04:18Individuals charged with murder, rape, theft, sexual crimes against children, and the list
04:27goes on and on.
04:28The President has also taken steps, along with Congress, to stop the deadly cross-border trade
04:33in fentanyl which affects communities around our country.
04:38And I know those efforts are going to continue.
04:42Open borders represent a real security threat, and I am incredibly grateful for the work President
04:48Trump has done to secure our borders and protect our country.
04:52One hundred days, Mr. President.
04:55If this is what President Trump has accomplished in his first three months, I can't wait to
04:59see what's to come.
05:01Mr. President, I yield the floor, and I suggest the absence of a quorum.
05:05The Clerk will call the roll.
05:06Ms. Alsobrooks.
