“Given notice to shift their shops," says Ayodhya Mayor on meat & liquor ban at Ram Path

Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh), April 29, 2025 (ANI): Speaking on banning on the sale of meat and liquor on Ram Path in Ayodhya, the Mayor of the city, Girish Pati Tripathi said that the meeting of Municipal Corporation Executive was held, in which a resolution was passed to close the liquor shops on Ram Path. He said, "The Municipal Corporation Executive Meeting was held in which our Councilors proposed that if any prohibited items are sold on the Ram Path, it is not in accordance with our cultural dignity. We passed a resolution, and a letter is being sent to the District Magistrate requesting to close the liquor shops on Ram Path, and the vendors who have meat shops here are also being given notice to shift their shops..."
