00:00The first full week of May begins with a parade of shooting stars with the peak of the
00:10Eta Aquarian meteor shower on the night of the 5th and 6th. It is the best meteor shower of
00:16the year in the southern hemisphere with 40 to 60 meteors per hour. For people living in the
00:21northern hemisphere, the Eta Aquarians could produce up to 30 meteors per hour. April showers
00:26bring May flowers or in this case the flower moon on the night of May 12th. At this time of year,
00:33plants and flowers are in full bloom across North America. Celebrate spring's full bloom under a
00:38moonlit sky. We wrap up with another planetary alignment just before the start of Memorial Day
00:45weekend. Catch the moon pairing up with Venus and Saturn before dawn on May 23rd. The moon will
00:51appear between the planets and no telescope is required to observe the alignment.
