00:00Go boys!
00:01We have ESCO!
00:30What are we waiting for?
00:44Yeah, I think they're...
00:59Yeah, I think that was coming.
01:04Yeah.
01:09Woo!
01:15Woo!
01:17Woo!
01:18Woo!
01:19Woo!
01:24Woo!
01:27Woo!
01:29Woo!
01:39Ladies and gentlemen, the President of the United States, accompanied by Head Coach Nick Sirianni and Lane Johnson.
01:48Woo!
01:50Go!
01:55Yes, sir, some of the things that I've seen.
01:58Go!
02:30Well, thank you very much, everybody.
02:57It's an honor to be with this incredible group of champions, great team.
03:02And we're thrilled to welcome everyone to the White House, special place, and to celebrate
03:09the Super Bowl 59 champion, the Philadelphia Eagles.
03:12And it's a — that was a special day.
03:20That was a big one.
03:22But the Eagles have turned out to be an incredible team, an incredible group, with a fantastic
03:29coach and coaches.
03:32And having you at the White House is very, very special and important.
03:37And we appreciate you being here.
03:39And I think what we're going to do is, on occasion, when we have a really great championship team,
03:45we bring them over to the Oval Office after we're finished.
03:49And they get a chance to look at some incredible real estate.
03:54And some — we have a little — a little present for each and every one of them.
03:58And it's a terrific present.
04:00So we're going to do that for this team.
04:02Okay?
04:03And we'll do that.
04:03We'll walk down to the Oval Office.
04:05And who knows?
04:07One of them may soon be sitting in that seat, you know?
04:11They've become famous, and we sure as hell know they're good athletes.
04:15Now they have to have some other ability, and they do.
04:18And we'll see what happens.
04:19But I especially want to recognize the Eagles' owner, chairman, and CEO, Jeffrey Lurie.
04:24Where is Jeffrey?
04:26Jeffrey, where is Jeffrey?
04:28Where is he?
04:29Where is he?
04:32He's my neighbor's, right?
04:41And he's a good neighbor.
04:43As well as your general manager, Howie Roseman.
04:46Howie.
04:54And your spirited coach, Nick Sirianni.
04:59You are a spirited coach.
05:02Thank you, Nick.
05:05Well, you know, a lot of people, they doubted.
05:08Well, they always doubt championship teams, and then they become championship teams.
05:12They never doubt them again.
05:14But Nick proved the doubters wrong and brought the Vince Lombardi trophy back to Philadelphia.
05:21And convincingly, we also have to recognize the Eagles' head of security.
05:26You know, this is a guy.
05:27They say he loves Trump.
05:29This is a guy.
05:31And I had Saquon give him a big, beautiful hat last night because I've been hearing about this guy.
05:37He likes Trump.
05:37His name is Dominic DeSandro, Big Dom.
05:42And he's sort of a legend.
05:44Come here, Tom.
05:47Come here.
05:48Say a few words, Tom.
05:50I hear this guy's just, come here.
05:53I'd just like to say thank you.
05:55We're honored to be here.
05:56Thank you, President Trump.
05:58And that's it.
05:58Go birds.
05:59Thank you, guys.
06:00My pleasure.
06:01Thank you, Jack.
06:02He's a big part of the team.
06:06That's what I hear.
06:07But I want to thank also some incredible talent and representatives for our country.
06:13Pam Bondi is here.
06:15She's doing such a great job.
06:16Good job on television this morning, too, Pam.
06:19She's incredible.
06:21Lori Chavez-Durima, Secretary of Labor.
06:25Scott Turner, HUD.
06:28Hello, Scott.
06:30You're doing good.
06:32I want to thank you all for being here.
06:33Senator Dave McCormick.
06:35David, thank you.
06:36Come on up here, David.
06:38Come on.
06:39Representatives Rob Resnahan, Brian Fitzpatrick, Ryan McKenzie, Dan Muser, Burgess Owens, Lloyd
06:51Smucker, G.T. Thompson, and Jeff Van Drew.
06:55And we have a lot of other congressmen here, but I have no idea who they are because I can't
07:00see you and all these people.
07:02But I apologize.
07:03See, they'll never speak to me again now.
07:05They'll be angry, but I just don't know who you might be right now.
07:10As well as Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday.
07:14Thank you, Dave.
07:15Good job, Dave.
07:17And Treasurer Stacy Garrity.
07:20Thank you very much.
07:21Thank you, Stacy.
07:22We have a lot of great politicians out there.
07:26For Eagles fans, the road to this day has been long, but the journey has been well worth
07:32it.
07:32I would say, Jeffrey, that was a great journey for you, huh?
07:36It was great for you and for everybody else.
07:38And it's, uh, look at the size of this guy.
07:40This guy.
07:42You know, when we walked up, I said, you know, you just stay here a little bit.
07:46I'll walk up in front of you because I didn't want to get anywhere near the size of you.
07:50And the greatness as a player, too, that I can tell you.
07:55Two years ago, the Eagles came incredibly close to football immortality in Super Bowl 57.
08:01You remember that game.
08:03But after a hard-fought game, you suffered a really heartbreaking loss to the Kansas City Chiefs
08:08by just three points.
08:10It looked like you had the game.
08:11This past year, the Eagles were determined to get it back and get it back.
08:15They did.
08:16The season started off slow, but you soon caught fire with your great coach inspiring you.
08:22And you got the ball to your superstar running back, who I met yesterday.
08:27And I want to tell you, he is, he's a handsome guy, but I wouldn't want to tackle him.
08:33Saquon Barkley.
08:35Where's Saquon?
08:35He's good.
08:45I got to know him a little bit.
08:47I offered him a ride on Air Force One because I was coming down.
08:51And usually they say, no, no, I don't think so.
08:55He said, I'll take it, sir.
08:57And he loved it.
08:59We loved being together.
09:00He's a great young guy and an incredible football player.
09:04Saquon had a season for the ages, running behind the most powerful offensive line in the NFL,
09:10featuring...
09:11That's true, huh?
09:14That's pretty...
09:15That's what this...
09:16It's a big group.
09:17We're going to introduce him.
09:18Jordan Milata.
09:21Very good.
09:22Come on, man.
09:23He's a big people.
09:32Landon Dickerson.
09:43Six-time Pro Bowler right tackle, Lane Johnson.
09:47That's Lane.
09:48Six-time, wow.
09:51That's pretty good.
09:53How is he?
09:54Is he better than you guys?
09:55I don't know.
09:55Oh, yeah.
09:57Six-time Pro Bowler.
09:59That's pretty good.
10:00He said, in week nine against Jacksonville, Saquon performed football magic while racking
10:05up a total of 119 yards, 99 yards, almost 200 yards, two touchdowns.
10:12In the second quarter, he caught the ball, dodged two tacklers, and then hurtled backward
10:16over another diving defender, sending him flying through Saquon's legs.
10:22You remember that one?
10:24I said, oh, that's a dangerous play.
10:25But he doesn't care about danger on the football field.
10:30And by the way, I have to tell you something.
10:32I was with the Giants and the head coach and some people, and I said, do anything you have
10:38to, but don't lose Saquon.
10:40They lost Saquon.
10:42That was not good.
10:45I called that one.
10:46That was an easy one to call because he played damn well for the Giants.
10:50I can tell you that.
10:51But he made the right decision because it is a team sport, and there's great people in
10:57this team.
10:58This unforgettable display of athleticism will soon be seen in highlight reels, and you've
11:04seen a lot of it.
11:05I've seen that game numerous times.
11:08They played over and over.
11:09It was an amazing game, the final game, and a little bit surprising that either team would
11:14have won by so much.
11:15But ultimately, Saquon rushed for more than 2,500 yards in the regular season and playoffs
11:21combined, and NFL records.
11:23Think of that, all those years.
11:25And he was named NFL Offensive Player of the Year.
11:30That's pretty good, Saquon.
11:32His golf isn't quite as good.
11:34So I want to congratulate him.
11:43What a guy.
11:45Complimenting Saquon's historic season was an incredible year from star quarterback Jalen
11:50Hertz.
11:51And he really played a...
11:53He had a great season and a great game, finished with 32 touchdowns in the year, turning in
11:59one stellar performance after another.
12:01Terrific guy and a terrific player.
12:04On defense, the Eagles finished the regular season with the fewest yards allowed per game,
12:09thanks in large part to talented young stars like safety Reed Blankenship.
12:14Where's Reed?
12:16Come on up here.
12:17How's it going?
12:18How are you?
12:19Nice to meet you.
12:20Can I say something?
12:22Come on, say something.
12:24Do this guy.
12:25I don't have a lot to say, but go Birds, even in D.C.
12:29Congratulations.
12:31Congratulations.
12:32And on defense, the Eagles finished is really legendary because I think probably it's been
12:43one of the greatest finishes in football history in week 11 against Washington.
12:49Reed had 10 tackles overall and an interception in the fourth quarter to seal the win.
12:54That was a big one.
12:56That was a rough game for the opposing team.
12:59That's one of those that you don't sleep very well, but you guys came back and you did
13:03an incredible job just to get through.
13:06The Eagles ended the regular season at 14-3 with only three playoff games standing in the
13:12way of the Super Bowl in New Orleans.
13:15After beating the Green Bay Packers in the first game, the Eagles won a close one against
13:20the Los Angeles Rams.
13:22All good games.
13:22Then in the NFC Championship game against Washington, Saquon took his very first handoff for a 60-yard
13:30touchdown and then added another touchdown minutes later.
13:35And, you know, Saquon's a good golfer, but he's a much better football player in case you
13:39had any thoughts of doing something else, Saquon.
13:43Soon, thanks to 55 points in the day, the Eagles punched their ticket to a Super Bowl rematch
13:50with the Kansas City Chiefs.
13:52And you know what happened?
13:53It was an incredible game.
13:55A little surprising, but right from the beginning.
13:57In the first quarter of the big game, which I was there, I watched in person.
14:01I was there along with Taylor Swift.
14:04How did that work out?
14:07How did that one work out?
14:09The Eagles scored a touchdown on their signature play, the Tush Push.
14:15You know what that is?
14:17Or is some...
14:18I hope they keep that play, Coach.
14:19I don't know.
14:20What?
14:21You know, they're...
14:22They're talking about getting rid of that play, I understand.
14:26They should keep it.
14:27What do you think, Saquon?
14:27I like it.
14:28Do you have guys like this pushing you around a little bit?
14:31I like it.
14:32It's sort of exciting and different.
14:33I would like to see something done.
14:35I'd like to go back to the regular kickoff, however.
14:38But we don't like that kickoff where nobody's moving.
14:41The ball's in the air and nobody's moving.
14:43But I won't ask the coach or Lane or any of the people about that.
14:47But as a fan, I don't know.
14:49I'm not sure, Jeffrey.
14:50Or some of the people, they call it the brotherly shove, you know, the other.
14:55Meanwhile, the ferocious Eagles defense pressured the Chiefs offense on almost every snap,
15:01causing six snaps, sacks, and three turnovers, including a phenomenal interception return
15:07for the touchdown by a spectacular rookie, Cooper Dugine.
15:13Come on up here, Jeffrey.
15:17Thank you, Steve.
15:17Great.
15:18Thank you, Steve.
15:19Good job.
15:25Cooper made the play of his life, and he did it on his 22nd birthday.
15:29Wow, you're a young guy, huh?
15:32A short time later, a touchdown pass right before halftime, and another one in the third quarter
15:37helped put the game on ice.
15:38And at the final whistle, the green and white confetti rained down on the scoreboard.
15:45It was 40 to 22.
15:47And I think maybe the Eagles themselves were surprised.
15:51But, boy, they played great.
15:52They looked unbeatable.
15:54It was a great moment for an incredible group of people.
15:57Throughout their extraordinary season, the amazing group of warriors.
16:01And that's what they are.
16:02They're really modern-day warriors.
16:04Inspired the world with incredible spirit, athletic dominance, and exceptional teamwork.
16:10And you made the Eagles fans everywhere really very proud.
16:14Whether you're an Eagle fan or not, they were proud to watch a team of such great power and dominance.
16:20And you really have a whole life to lead, and you can say you've done it.
16:27You've done something that very few people are able to do.
16:29We've seen a lot of great teams, Lane and Coach.
16:32We've seen a lot of great teams, but they don't ever get to where you've already gotten.
16:37And you're a young guy to be a coach.
16:39Oh, I'd like to be his manager right now.
16:41I'd like to pick up my little 10% for doing nothing.
16:45So I want to congratulate once again, and let me just say, Fly Eagles Fly, right?
16:58And with that, I want to bring up one of the great offensive linemen, really of all time.
17:04When you're a six-time All-Pro, that's really something.
17:07And Lane Johnson, come up and say a few words.
17:10Congratulations.
17:11You're really something special.
17:15Move this up a little bit.
17:18Thank you, Mr. President, for allowing us to be here, sending us the invitation.
17:22What an incredible year it was for us, really having the chance to play the team that we lost to a couple years before and come through.
17:30But I want to thank Mr. Lurie just for creating a championship organization and culture.
17:36Howie Rose has been putting the time in, everybody on the coaching staff.
17:40Just what a wonderful season it was.
17:42And we're not done.
17:44We're ready for another round.
17:46Thank you all.
17:47And go, Birds.
17:51Thank you, guys.
17:52C-F-E-F-E-O.
17:56Yeah.
17:56Thank you, Mr. President, for having us here.
17:58And we also appreciate the endorsement for the Tush Push.
18:02We really appreciate that.
18:03And go, Birds.
18:04Jeffrey, maybe you could say a few words.
18:12You've done an amazing job in putting this team together.
18:15Come on up.
18:15Thanks.
18:19Thanks, Mr. President.
18:20You know, it's truly an honor to be here.
18:23I remember as a little boy the championship teams that came to the White House.
18:26And I never dreamed we'd be able to, you know, have a team and be as good as this.
18:31And this was a dominant team with incredible culture.
18:34Everything we all believe in as the best human values, selflessness, humility, teamwork, talent, discipline,
18:43everything that we all strive for, this team incorporated.
18:47So thank you for the hospitality today.
18:50And go, Birds.
18:51Oh, that's great.
19:03Wow.
19:04Whoa.
19:05That's pretty good.
19:08That's pretty good.
19:10Showing the front.
19:11Nick, how you're fine.
19:13Oh, that's good.
19:15Oh, that's good.
19:16Wow.
19:18You're going to be here.
19:20You're going to be here.
19:20Hey, he's going to help.
