00:00Ladies and gentlemen, good day. Thank you for joining us for this important gathering

00:05to mark the upcoming National Heritage Month, which is celebrated 30 May across our nation.

00:11This year, as we come together to honor our rich cultural legacy,

00:17we reflect on the profound stories and values that define us as a people.

00:23With this year's theme, preserving legacy's building futures, and following communities embedded.

00:33This theme invites us to explore the many cultural expressions that shape our identity,

00:41from our indigenous roots toward contemporary artistic environment achievements.

00:46We recognize that our heritage is not merely a reflection of the past.

00:51It is a living entity.

00:54It is very timely and appropriate that this year's celebration

00:58will place a stronger emphasis on training and capacity building across the zone besides

01:05Vinodau and NCR.

01:08These initiatives are designed to empower local communities and cultivate

01:14the deeper understanding of our cultural heritage through a skilled and capacity building approach.

01:20By providing access to community-based training and resources,

01:24we aim to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge needed to preserve the fruit of our cultural identity.

01:31So this is really a major achievement on the part of the Heritage Sub-Commission.

01:38that you will know that if you look at the program for the month, it's all training.

01:45It's all training.

01:47It's not trained but training.

01:50It's not trained but training.

01:52It's a fitness thing.

01:53But no seriously, it's focused on training and skills building.

02:01and skills of the Philippines.

02:05Furthermore, I hope that this celebration serves as a multi-stakeholder effort,

02:11utilizing the private sectors, academic institutions,

02:15local government communities, and mostly especially the youth.

02:19Together we can create a vibrant network that fosters collaboration and innovation.
