00:00But if you do take a look, it's one of those clashes, Tom, we have like the the eyes on him.
00:05It's like, oh, it doesn't look that good. But the analytics always love Aaron Nola through his season.
00:09Again, 28 innings pitch that high ERA, but it's half his XFIT number, which is three point three, three point three six.
00:15Hasn't put it together this year. But do you trust more in the eye test where it doesn't look that good?
00:19Or the overall analytical numbers like he's actually not that bad of a pitcher.
00:23He's just struggling early on.
00:24I would side with the latter, with the analytical numbers and not what the box score says, like seeing that he's over five, which obviously wins are a terrible stat for pitchers.
00:34But to see that he's over five and has a six, four, three ERA, you'd be like, wow, this guy, he is struggling.
00:41He said 31 strikeouts and 28 innings pitch. His XFIT is three point three six, which is absolutely phenomenal.
00:48That's a spot where you love it. The strikeouts are the exact same they were last year was 24 percent last year.
00:53It's 24 point six this year. His walks just a touch higher at eight point seven, six point one last year.
00:59He is giving up a little more home runs, which happens at times.
01:02And then we look at some of the other stuff that I like to look at.
01:05Medium contact is the same as last year. He's giving up fewer fly balls this year than he was last year.
01:10I say he's running unlucky and no less fine.
01:12Yep.
