00:00How are you doing?
00:08Good to see you.
00:16How are you doing?
00:24OK, Joe.
00:26Was that a difficult first hour, but was it really hard for you?
00:30In the first half I didn't think we played well.
00:32I thought the substitutes made a big difference to us.
00:35We stayed in the game, we didn't get out of the game.
00:40There was a wee period in the first half I thought we could have been in trouble.
00:44We just didn't open the game very well at all,
00:47but I thought the second half way we were much, much better.
00:51Which didn't be a reason for the problems in the first half?
00:54Probably Chelsea.
00:56Chelsea were fast, intense, quick.
00:58Got really good players as we all know.
01:01That was probably the biggest reason, more them than to do with us.
01:05Was it making Paterson and Jake O'Brien in their roles given Tarkovsky's injury?
01:11OK.
01:12And you see Barth and Orders throughout that game coaching quite hard.
01:17Were they doing what you wanted them to do,
01:20and it was just that Chelsea were too good for that first out role?
01:23I think it was them getting them ready immediately for it.
01:27You know, it's moving big Jake over.
01:30We know Jake's been done brilliant for us,
01:32and Pato's only coming in, only had a couple of games.
01:34So it's never easy against the opposition and the quality of the players.
01:38But they stuck at it.
01:41They stuck at it, and we certainly grew into the game the longer it went on.
01:45And, you know, if we'd got a goal,
01:47I think the goalkeeper made a couple of really good saves for them,
01:49which stopped it.
01:51Maybe, maybe we should have actually finished them off,
01:53to be better if I was being honest.
01:55So, yeah, there were certainly positives to take that we came away here
02:00and kept the game close.
02:03We didn't play at our best.
02:05Early part of the season, these sort of games,
02:08we were getting a goal, we were getting them.
02:10I'm saying early part of the season, the early time when I've come in,
02:13we were getting the goals.
02:15At the moment, we're struggling just to find those goals,
02:17and we just need moments.
02:19Dukes had won, Dwight had won, I can think of,
02:22and there was a couple of other moments for half-sharing
02:25which we didn't quite take.
02:27Thanks, Joe. Any further questions?
02:29Did you feel that the goal they scored,
02:32your defence wasn't quite set because Jordan made the goal kick straight after Beto,
02:36that you maybe would have been the forward ideally defensively?
02:40Yeah, I think if you look at modern football at the moment,
02:43you could probably talk about 100 or 200 different goals,
02:47every week you're seeing mistakes by goalkeepers,
02:49or you've seen it by centre-halves or full-backs.
02:51If you want to call it over-playing or poor play,
02:54I think the centre-halves had split.
02:57Jordan chose to go directly into the striker,
02:59which was a pretty good pass to be honest,
03:01I don't think there was much up with it.
03:03He has to retain the ball, simple as that.
03:07He has to retain the ball.
03:09And because of that, it probably cost us a goal,
03:12and we were open at that moment when you do that.
03:14But you're seeing that, you've always seen that type of football.
03:18And we're trying to improve, we're trying to get better at retaining possession,
03:22we're trying to get better at passing it.
03:24And that moment just didn't quite work.
03:27Other than that, and it wasn't a mistake by Jordan,
03:30but the saves he made today throughout the match,
03:32they're a three or four of absolutely top draw.
03:35I mean, you've seen him over the last few months,
03:37you've seen him over the last number of years.
03:39Do you think that perhaps he doesn't get the respect generally that he deserves as a goalkeeper?
03:45Well, he should do because I think he's reached the levels of the top goalkeepers
03:51who in England have been respected more than anybody.
03:54I might be wrong in talking about Banks and Shilton and all the ones who you would talk about.
03:58So he's right up there as far as caps go.
04:01He's a terrific goalkeeper and he helps us as well.
04:07He helps us with his passing, he helps us with his kicking.
04:10You can decide today if it was a help or a hindrance what he'd done today.
04:14But overall, I'm really pleased with Jordan.
04:19He makes big saves at moments and he made a few big saves today.
04:22So did, by the way, so did their goalkeeper.
04:24So did their goalkeeper, yes.
04:26Any further questions? No?
04:30Cheers, thank you.
04:35See you later.
