Beaufort coach Daniel Jones after win over Waubra
Transcript
00:00Yeah, the win today, yeah, certainly a reward for effort.
00:05Yeah, bringing a lot of new guys into the club, having them taste their first success.
00:11Yeah, Warburg certainly played a very physical type of game, which we expected.
00:16And the challenge for us was to be able to, you know, mix it with them on the inside
00:21and see if we get a bit of reward for effort on the outside.
00:24And yeah, so that second half, back into the third quarter, into the last.
00:29Yeah, we sort of felt that we were able to, yeah, get to the outside
00:32and, yeah, use our running power to create scoring opportunities, which was great.
00:38Yeah, I'll have Lachie Murray back, a premiership player.
00:42Took quite a bit of convincing to come back.
00:45Yeah, sort of stepping into an assistant coaching role, just his presence,
00:50how bubbly he is, and he's really a people person.
00:54And guys really, you know, attract to him.
00:57But just having him, you know, forward 50, being able to structure up, you know,
01:01what he's a relatively young group and to be able to contribute the way he did as well,
01:06yeah, was brilliant.
01:08And Skipton, oh, look, they're going to be an enormous challenge.
01:12You know, they're certainly a team that will, who I'd expect to be playing, you know,
01:18deep into September, you know, a top four finisher last year.
01:22You know, we'll certainly enjoy tonight's win.
01:25But, yeah, certainly it's going to be a good challenge for us.
01:29And to see where we sort of stack up against what I see as one of the best, you know,
01:33three or four teams, yeah, in the comp.
01:36And, yeah, we'll put our best foot forward.
01:38And, you know, the result will take care of itself.
01:40And, yeah, we'll take care of itself.
