Six shows CBS has canceled ahead of the 2025-2026 TV season

There’s a chance CBS just axed your favorite TV show.

“Poppa’s House,” “The Summit,” “Blue Bloods,” “FBI: Most Wanted,” “FBI: International,” and “S.W.A.T” have all been canceled ahead of the 2025-2026 season.

“Poppa’s House,” which starred father-son duo Damon Wayans and Damon Wayans Jr., aired on the network for just one season. According to TVLine, it was CBS’ least-watched scripted program of the 2024-2025 season.

“The Summit,” a reality competition series, also lasted only one season. The other four canceled shows are coming to an end after longer stints on CBS. “FBI: International” ran for 4 seasons, “FBI: Most Wanted” had 6, “S.W.A.T” had 8, and “Blue Bloods” had 14.

“Blue Bloods” star Tom Selleck has expressed his disappointment with the show’s cancellation I’m kind of frustrated,” he told TVInsider in October 2024. “During those last eight shows, I haven’t wanted to talk about an ending for ‘Blue Bloods,’ but about it still being wildly successful.”

Selleck pointed out that “Blue Bloods” ranked 9th in the Top 100 Shows of 2023-2024.

“My frustration is the show was always taken for granted because it performed from the get-go,” he said.

While “Blue Bloods” didn’t make the cut, CBS has renewed several shows for the 2025-2026 season, including “Fire Country,” “Ghosts,” “Matlock,” “NCIS” and its spinoffs “NCIS: Sydney” and “NCIS: Origins,” and “Tracker.”
